Nice job, so you can get to welding heat in your gas forge because you have 3 burners correct. I only have one, so it would be hard for me to reach welding heat do you think?
Lenblacksmith I actually am only running 2 burners in this video during the welding. The rule of thumb is one burner per 350 internal cubic inches of volume. My forge is actually only about 700 cubic inches so I can reach welding heat with 2. The third I use for doing twists in big long stock for furniture or heat treating swords. If your one burner forge is relatively small it can certainly be done. I’ve made Damascus in a single burner devil forge before
Ok thanks mate, how do you work out the internal cubic inches? I have made a bigger forge since my first little one, have good insulation and refractory in it.
Lenblacksmith is the inside of your forge rectangular or round? If it’s square you can do length times width times height. If it’s a cylinder you do pie times the radius squared times height V=3.14xr squared x height.
Please explain, are you saying it’s frowned upon in kanukistan to defend yourself in your own home with a weapon of any kind? So basically it’s just survival of the fittest? Or is it that you aren’t allowed to use scary looking weapons? A sharp stick would be fine? Or a bat shaped object? Would that be ok?
