This was a fun build, especially as it goes to a channel I enjoy watching! Hopefully you will see them in future episodes on his channel: / bigstackd All of my links can be found here: Il.ink/samtownsbladesmith

Big Stack. That's awesome brother, glad Sam could throw a bit of steel your way. Sure they are going to work well! 🙏blessings your way sirSir Crawford out 🧙♂️
I've been doing restorations, a little metal pouring inspired by BigStackD too, and now starting my blacksmithing journey. I think I am going to try and make a small set of these as a first real project. Thank you for being an inspiration!
@@SamTownsBladesmith Cheers from the land of the Yanks!.. big fan of BigstackD's and a new sub to you my friend!.. and like sooo many others have said, I wish I could order me a set of those beauties!!!.. keep up the great work!!
Awesome video Sam, I look forward to BigStackD 's videos every Friday morning. You did a great job mimicking his brand. Also I needed to learn this in the worst way. Thanks
Sent here by BSD, always wanted to know which of his friends did the steel work that he was always donating steel bits to, not disappointed and definitely subscribed!
Fantastic video! I got your link from bigstackd. I’m a metal worker by heart but not a blacksmith. My hat is off to anyone who can swing a hammer all day like that. Cheers 🍻
Nice to see a metal smith at work. Wish I could learn even a fraction of the knowledge. Wrong country wrong time in my life BUT can still learn and appreciate those that can. At my age I'm sorta running out of time, but still a maker. If you don't know what a maker is, you should look it up. Silly thing I'm a carpenter by trade got hooked into 3D printing (my first robot, am proud of this) didn't have it tuned right but have gotten some good stuff from it (next re-build I'll really have to look after the details, home-built 200X200X400 next one uses's a cr-10 400X400 build plate (ahmm 700mm high or approx 550mm high print). Sum cheap Chinese stuff is a bit soft so this good video will allow me to improve them. Looking at building an induction furnace to work with tempering metals. Also working on an HHO generator system, I don't need a big system just big enough to braze my band-saw blades (brand new lasted 10 seconds) that have broken (at the so called weld join that is far to brittle) so everything I can learn about the process is precious, this was educational and well worth watching, now to figure out the metal colour charts, needs to be hard at the face (teeth) but soft at the back. Bu**er will have to look at more videos but well worth it. The internet community is awesome. Garenteed I will find answers, these vid's are precious for me because I can't find the instruction in my country, you tube is awesome for finding things, Thank you Google. (now if you could only find away to reduce my phone updates would be nice. Oh and having to reset google store to its defaults to do an update is rather annoying.)
Great job on the tongs! I really appreciate your talent here. Wish I had the tools and skill as you do. Subscribed! Loved all of your tributes to bigstackd's videos lol
Excellent video friend!! I need a pair of pouring tongs like you made for BugstacktD! Index one for a #4-6 crucible. Whatever is the cost is fine. Hope to hear back soon. I'm tired of my flimsey tongs I made. I need something STURDY!
@@SamTownsBladesmith I think I would desire to order some as well.I got my devil forge and would prefer some hand made items like this verses something store bought that could breaks after first use. Do you take commissions? I need some tongues and an i got mold with a handle to.
You have not e-mailed me. I'm in the is and want to have a good set of tongs and lifter made. If you are interested in building them e-mail me to work out the details.
I really enjoy wandering the web and finding new channels to watch. Great video! But with the sods at RU-vid not even bothering to update us with new releases, why do I even need to subscribe? Yes, it helps you keep track of numbers (and I'm not afraid to help YOU in any way I can!) but what benefit is there to me? The lousy bastards at YT can't even program a computer, why should I help them???? Anyone have an answer to that???
I watch BigstackD videos all the time and I'm starting to get into metal casting myself if you could I like a pair of crucible tongs I could send you some 5/8 rebar through the mail
Hola my name is Fernando i live in Puerto Rico do you sell then. I will like buy one like the video. Let me know as soon as posible. Thanks anticipaded
Those look great, but don't be afraid to have a longer video. This is sped up a bit too fast in my opinion. I mean, look how long green beetle's videos are, and they're still popular!
Regardless that's fake you're still showing that you like to burn US money. Yes, I'm from the US I like to know why you like to burn US money? Yes I know that money you burn is fake but the sign is still there. I do hope we could talk this over late gentlemen not all cussing swearing and hateful all around that's it.
I think you're reading a little too deeply into it mate. Australian currency doesn't burn because it's plastic, so it wouldn't make sense for me to have used it. It's also a visual joke, much like in movies where someone will light a cigar with a $100 bill. In any case, it was a nod to bigstackd who used to light his forges thus, which is what this whole video is about
@@SamTownsBladesmith well okay I just start watching bigstackd videos and he had a link in the description that lead to this video so I clicked on it. The piece of paper that he used is a custom bill not US fake money. I did watch some other videos that you have it seemed this was just a one-time thing so it's okay my apologies. Have a great day well for me goodnight.
