Butterfly "antlers" - haha! Regarding the basket you got from your mom, which is not really available anymore, except maybe at thrift stores, a suitable alternative might be if you have Costco near you, their meat trays are made of sturdy clear plastic. I wash them and use them for all kinds of temp project storage. Works for me!

Oh, so glad to see your beautiful labels find their spots today. I visited a fabric 2nd hand store this morning. Found all kinds of fabric pieces for journal covers and ribbon and buttons and best of all….1960s sewing patterns!!! And all free! My little heart was pounding!

I got a pair of UHU blue magic glue sticks to test not long ago, and one of those turned white about halfway through. So far, the second one is going strong. I like being able to see where the glue is, too.

Hi Gayle. I'm sorting postage stamps as I watch (well, listen really) to you. Oh darn, that means I'll have to "watch" you again later today. 😁 But I'm finding these stamps so interesting. I have a ton of American Flag stamps and thought there's no way I could use them...until I started looking closer. There are stamps starting at 6 cents! Now that gives me something to work with! 😁 Anyway, your glue stick being white instead of purple might mean it's a "permanent" glue. That's what I ordered and it's white/clear instead of being purple. Fun video. Will watch it better later. TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞

My uncle was a Catholic priest. When he was ordained a priest, his chose the name "Father Augustine." He chose that name because there was Saint Augustine in the Catholic bible.

Can you share your history with junk journals…what led you into the world of junk journals? One more question, have you been a lifelong journaler? Thanks for all the videos you make and sharing your talents!

I have done all sorts of craft and art my whole like and I’ve been a lifelong journaler. I was a mixed media artist when I stumbled upon the junk journal world about 8 or 9 years ago. I love making journals because one can add all their other crafts to journals….sewing, crochet, paint, card making, scrapbooking, embroidery, etc all translate well to incorporating them in journals. @@gayleagostinelli_ct Thanks for your quick reply. I stumbled into the junk journaling world after getting into nature journaling. I decided to make my own journal about a year ago and found tons of RU-vid videos to guide me. I have since made almost 100 journals for family and friends, and sell them at local craft markets. I love making journals and learning new techniques. What a wonderful life…to play with paper and glue all day if I want!
