Adam. I am not sure if you have time to read the comments. But if you do. I want to thank you. Your calm relaxing enjoyable videos are such a nice way to start the day. When I feel a little anxious. You help to calm my brain. Don’t take this in anyway but flattering. You are like Mister Rogers. Here is the small towns of America ,,thank you
Love seeing all the small towns that make Minnesota so special. (I may live in a small town in Minnesota myself!) Thank You for sharing & I hope you enjoyed your brief visit through Minnesota Adam!
Just wanted to say I love these travelling vids. I usually skip the Disneyland stuff but I watch every episode of these rambling across the country videos. Having driven across the country a few times, I just love the random things one sees on these trips. It always surprises me how few people you see walking around these small towns.
I'm a Disney lover so I like the Disney videos too. In fact, I found this channel from watching one of the Disney videos. But I have to admit I like the traveling through the country and visiting small town videos even more. I live in a big city and very rarely get a chance to visit the rural areas which I love, so these videos are the next best thing.
As a Iowan I consider myself a honorary Minnesotan by default lol. Just because Iowa and Minnesota are so similar and I picture them as siblings, I love both of them. The lush greeness and rolling hills of the heart of the Midwest (Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin) is gorgeous
Adam, you were in our neck of the woods!!! We live in Eau Claire, WI. The town you wondered about the pronunciation is Menomonie (meh-nom-a-nee) 😊. The kids think it’s so cool that Adam the Woo was in our area!!! Would have been fun to buy you a piping hot caffeinated beverage 😉. Safe travels on your road trip!!!!
I live in rural Minnesota. Something I love is seeing the old painted store signs on old brick buildings that were never taken off or you can see a ghost of them painted over . I think it's so cool. As a matter of fact I recently seen one in the town my daughter lives in
Have fun driving through Wisconsin. If you have a chance head to Bay Beach Amusement Park in Green Bay. It has a couple of Ferris Wheels and it has Elvis Presley's favorite roller coaster the Zippin Pippin.
Best gas stations in Wisconsin is Kwik Trip! They have everything, their bathrooms are the cleanest around and they're overly friendly. Stop in and grab some fresh cheese curds!
Adam, I wanted to let you know you made my wife's day by showing her hometown of Regent, North Dakota. I have recently subscribed and sooo glad I did. Thank you so much for that thrilling video. We watched the Regent part over and over. Be safe and hello from Colorado. This was a cool video as well.
Being here in the UK, I find these type of videos from you Adam, absolutely fascinating. Have enjoyed all your videos the past 7-8 years. Thanks buddy - keep up the awesome work 🍻
Wow, you don't see too many blacksmith shops nowadays. That one looks like it could be fully operational. Come to think of it, there aren't too many giant prairie chickens 🐔 around either 🙂
Adam, if you have not done a vlog of Wisconsin Dells, I think you and your viewers would enjoy a vlog from there. I'd like your take on this place. Lots of fun water parks and amusement parks but some really great unique things to do, such as the Wisconsin Ducks, that travel on land and water and were vehicles originally built to be landing vehicles in WWII.
SOMEDAY... I wish you would go to Duluth, MN to watch the boats & ships come through the canal there. It is a wonderful, exciting, touristy place! You would LOVE it. They have many livestreaming cams on YT, so check them out! Duluth Canal Cam, with chat.
Minnesota the North Shore is gorgeous I recommend it to harbors lots of good stuff up there while the good things in Minnesota and Wisconsin to see to bed enough time would love to meet the guy show Maroun is more than a small America of Americ
Thank you for the early post some days you're almost better than a cup of coffee! It's Friday but it doesn't feel like Friday thank you for such an uplifting post! You mean so much to so many and this is an extraordinary treat when it's early like this! ❤️ For those people who fly and when you look down and you see those round circles these irrigation units that move 12 inches at a time like Adam explained in the video that's what those are.
I really love your traveling videos. Love your commentary and you really have one of those great radio voices. Beautiful adventure that we can enjoy from our homes. Thank you!
If your coming thru Wisconsin from MN go down thru Baraboo and North Freedom WI and visit Dr Evermor’s Sculpture Park..it’s a crazy place on HWY 12 south of Baraboo across from what used to be the Badger Army Ordinance ammunition plant and adjacent to Delaney’s Surplus. It is one of the oddest places you’ll ever see…the guy was really out there in his creations…,
Thanks for this very serene video today! I grew up in a farm town in NorCal and those massive sprinklers always mesmerized me. So peaceful and addicting to watch !
HEY ATW...THIS TIME ON THE ROAD HAS BEEN GOOD FOR YOU!! You are looking slender and spry and you even look younger! Sometimes a person just needs some time to themselves. I can't imagine how many miles you have on your vehicle!?! You really have been traveling the back roads. Perfect for your second hardback bestseller "WOO THROUGH THE BACK ROADS OF AMERICA".
Adam the woo!!!! I live in alexandria Minnesota!!! We have a coffee cart, had I known you were coming through I would have offered you a piping hot caffeinated beverage for your travels!!! Be blessed on your journeys!!
More territory I've never seen before. Interestingly my mom's parents moved from Minnesota to California but I have never seen their home area. Thanks again so much for these videos!
Another great video! All these travels bring back many good memories! I can remember when these "back roads" were the "main roads!" Take care on your travels, look forward to more!! Thank you!!
What I love about your videos is that you show us all the signs in the area. It gives you a better sense of a place's history and what you can find there when you can see that kind of stuff. Whenever I'm on a road trip, I always look for signs, placards and brochures I can read about the places I'm in.
Really loving this road trip since Utah/Colorado. The nature and open road is so calming and beautiful. I just had a baby last week so I can’t do much this summer. Your videos always bring a smile.
Im not sure how youtube know to put this in my recommendations, but my parents live in Ashby. A nice place to get away from people and enjoy the quiet. I live in Moorhead. The balance u talk about between lot of people and no people is something I 100% agree with. Great vid man
I just crossed from Minnesota into South Dakota. Ive seen Dollar generals in towns with no stop signs. Thank you for being an inspiration. Safe travels Adam.
Traveled for work in South Carolina and southern Georgia in summer 2018. Can confirm many Dollar Generals and Family Dollars in small towns, they have become the modern-day country general store.
Good morning Adam. Your adventures (as of the recording of this video) was very nice to watch while I wait for my car to get the Recall fixed. The open roads that you find to explore is so peaceful and relaxing! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Have a wonderful, magical weekend.
Your channel is always entertaining. It was extra exciting today as you rolled through my neck of the woods of west central Minnesota. Keep up the good work!
So happy to see you come through the great state of Wisconsin. If you were here in Aug the Rays are playing the Brewers! I’d imagine that would check another ballpark off your list. Keep up the great videos and cat wait to see where you end up!
When I was a kid, our local library had a lion water fountain in front of it. It was taken out about 2 decades ago. I grew up in a very small town in IL. The high school had kids from 3 towns. My class of 1990 had about 85 students. It's grown a little bit, but not too much. The town with the school has lots of antique shops and a GREAT chocolate shop. Oh and that Wisconsin town is pronounced Meh NOM a nee 😁
Did you stay in the town, or leave?....did most kids move on from the 3 town high school to college/university?....I"m just not familiar with this kind of area...
I know right where that is! Our son went to River Falls! My maid of honor was from Frontenac! Oh the town near my hometown also had two lions at the library.. that is in Luverne MN
Lol I'm moving to Menomonie in a week...I run a regular trucker route from Minneapolis to Chicago and compared to o e bedroom rent in either city I can get a three bedroom house in Menomonie. 3 truck stops to choose from and a dealership. I'm originally from Texas but I fell in love with the viking ways and I'm looking forward to the Renaissance Faire in Shakopee and gosh I love the micro brews for my days off when I'm not driving. I love the history...Menomonie I think is a grass that grows in the water a d that had been used as a food source by native American tribes. It's been a while since I watched the documentary so I may have it a bit wrong...either way. Lovely places and friendly faces and wide open spaces
Our Lions Club installed a Lion bubbler in their park they managed, back in the 60s when I was a kid. In Okauchee, Wi. It was a big hit with all the kids. Hope it's still there...
I really enjoy your roadtrips, just like i'm travelling along. Reminds me of my childhood also; my parents liked making roadtrips (and they still do). Me sitting in the backseat looking at the world going by and taking it all in. Could do that all day long. Nowadays i just take the car to drive to where i'm working. Nice to have such a vast country to travel through; my country can be travelled through in a day.. Greetings from the Netherlands!
Love all the farm land. I hope to one day move to a place where the only traffic jam will be waiting to get around farm equipment rolling down the road. Easier less stressful way of life. That happy water tower is cute.
So glad you visited my state of Minnesota! I'm loving this road trip. I've been to some of those towns you stopped at. I get bored on the interstate too. You covered alot of ground, continued safe travels!
Love it when you say no game plan day. Those are your best videos. Just seeing the interesting things that come your way. Never heard of a potato day. Thank you for sharing these interesting videos. 👍
@@tootscarlson well actually California and New York possibly Chicago would be one of your worst that's how Dallas wanted to be like them all their freeways and highways and then you got New Yorkers and California and everything else are moving down here to Dallas so therefore the craziest drivers are here. I lived here all my life many many many years I have seen nothing like it it is today in the past two or three years and believe me yes it scares the hell out of me now. They come down my street 90 miles an hour like it's a freeway
You came through my neck of the woods. I grew up in the Dalton/Ashby area. I graduated high school in Ashby. In fact, you drove on the road that goes right by my parents place. Hopefully in the future you can make your way up to Minnesota again. Check out the lakes area, North Shore of Lake Superior, and the north woods. I think you would be pleasantly surprised. Thanks so much for sharing your videos!
The metal animal sculptures at 1st and Main there were interesting. More was revealed as you walked around. From experience I would say, folks driving cars kept running over the phone boxes on the corner so they put that there as deterrent.
You know Adam I think ive seen most of your videos and I am really like a friend you don't know about yet. We really enjoy your videos when Daphnee is in them. she is like a breath of fresh air. we like the way she gets excited about things when she is about to see things by jumping up and down and her giggling. I love to see happy people and she surely is one. Have you ever wanted to take her a long on a long trip? Her smiling face is always good to see in your videos. Thank for the job you do. it is very informative and entertaining. PS Tour Canada... thanks Tom Crosby YQR Regina Canada
Have always loved these small town vids! A real treat seeing you pass through my home state of Minnesota. I just don’t understand why you didn’t do it in winter. . . . ha ha!
Minnesota...Land of 10,000 lakes...I grew up in International Falls (stopping there?)...Icebox of the nation, biggest rectal thermometer in the nation (ok not sure that thing is still in Smoky Bear Park)...No matter where you go in MN, enjoy! 👍😎👍
Glad to see you made it to Fargo, my hometown. I94 down to Minneapolis is full of these small towns just off the interstate and we will be driving the same road on our next trip to the Twin Cities. FYI, The Prarie Chicken in Rothsay actually started on fire a few years back and had to be totally replaced with a new one!
fun fact! in Wisconsin water fountains are called Bubblers. that is a really cool lion bubbler. Also, driving down to Minneapolis from Canada, and passing through North Dakota, i have passed that Alien restaurant/arcade often over the years! Great video!!
I grew up on the west side of Wisconsin and never once heard a single person call them Bubblers until I moved to the east side of the state for college. Here, EVERYONE calls them bubblers. It's a super regional term.
That lion water fountain brings back memories of a similar one at a park in Prineville, Oregon that I would play at when I was a kid, visiting on a road trip!
🧀🍻 ☕️ Welcome again to my home state of Wisconsin! Hoping you can make it over to Milwaukee for a day. But I know you maybe burning though miles too. Safe travels!
If youre going through Michigans upper peninsula down from Wisconsin, you should check out Mackinac Island. No cars allowed, only bikes and tons of cool stuff on the island. Bike rentals are cheap, and its beautiful this time of year.
Welcome to the North Star state! A little warm after a relatively mild June, but not too bad. Too bad you didn't make time to visit the Mississippi headwaters in Lake Itasca. Worth a look if you get a chance.
No better way to discover the essence, feeling, and history of rural America than by threading through the smaller veins and arteries that these off-the-beaten-path roads offer.
