@@pinkeye6803 It was early days in YT. I mean we all know shit can get hacked. Doesnt matter if its YT facebook etc etc. Good thing is CJU didnt let it destroy him. He came back and is bigger and better than ever :D
It is really nice to see Mr. Francisco growing in skill and confidence as he continues to create games. FT1 had really nothing, no locations, no items, no (flash)light (there was a bit of light around you, but no object), no story, and no monsters or animations except for the final kill to summarily end the "game". Episode 2 was a giant leap, and it's clear that Mr. Francisco is working hard to hone his skills. Episode 2 is vastly improved over episode 1. We got a story! Locations! Animated scary beings! Music (good job, Fabio Guedes!)!!! New graphics (those walls and stairs covered in breathing (!) symbols was quite cool and creepy)! And... up, for a change! I can't wait to see what happens in ep. 3, where we get a whole new place, that is at least partially *_not_* in tunnels! Keep at it, Daniel, we're rooting for you! And as always, thanks for playing and sharing, CJU!
The jumpscares in CJU videos are always worse because I get lulled into a sense of safety from his calming voice and then BLAM! I can also relate to only 30% of your work actually being useable. It can be soul crushing but also the 30% feels so good.
That was the nice twist in the end, really entertaining. I'm not sure about the rest of the 2nd episode, another walking simulator with some discreet jumpscares, but I guess It's doing the job.
Man, the second part really IS better. That black sphere with the particle effects reminds me of a star and it’s magnetic fields, but strangely chaotic and asymmetrical. Maybe it’s some sort of alien anti-star? A demonic anthelios beneath the Earth?
I was kind of getting "Doorways" vibes during those elevator sequences which isn't a bad thing and, then, it turned into "Human". Great video, Chris. Always appreciate your videos, man.
I really gotta commend you man. The videos you put up are always amazing, and the fact that it’s only 30% of the horror games you’ve played makes your opinion on the genre far higher than it was before. Mad respect for you, I’m glad you have the courage to play horror games so I can enjoy them lmao
This game plays like a Creepypasta story. I think I've read something similar. Teens find tunnel. One of them gets lost in it and is found by a creature. The friend looks for him and finds him going mad in the darkness. Long story short humans don't like being in complete darkness. It changes them, warps their minds. It's like staring at yourself in a mirror in a dark room with only candle light, eventually your face warps into an unknown monster.
Let me stop you right there mate ... if your senses tell you something is awful ... it is ... never let others influence your decisions , since by the end of the day ... you know yourself the best and what you really like .... then others ... don't believe the hype
I like the concept of finding a network of modern man-made tunnels found in a remote location but it feels like the creator thought up a bunch of freaky imagery for the player to experience that aren't necessarily part of a fleshed out story. Execution was pretty well done though.
Added story definitely helps. These tunnels are malevolent. Are there humans behind these tunnels or something supernatural? Definitely want to see if part 3 improves and expands the gameplay and story.
Thank you for enduring the first one and showing us the second one! I love it when there is progress to be seen in peoples work. Maybe the third one will be better as the second one! I just saw Carrion released on steam today; will you be playing it? Followed it since I saw you playing the demo; but I gotta wait until it's discounted a little.
Well "Forgotten Tunnels" is right... Sadly there's nothing worth remembering 😕. Well aside from your commentary Chris. Still enjoyed your playthrough. Also, fyi, even if a game is dull I'd still watch it for your honest reactions. Most of the time the bad game videos are actually good for that reason... Surely I can't be the only masochist? lol
let's see, we're lost in an and less maze of tunnels, flashlight dying, no food, anxiety and fear levels rising, so hey why don't I just not down my feeling in my journal shall we?
I know you need exposition and context but if I was being chased by some malevolent, demonic force, the last thing on my mind is getting my feelings to paper, I would understand if the last guy walled himself up in the attic or something and left a suicide note as a warning of the dangers to come, but I doubt very much you're going to find my journal entries scattered around the creepy mansion, but flashbacks are cliche too so what to do right?
Generally speaking... dull, but developing in the right direction... maybe part three, four and five will rock the show. Thank you for playing these ones!
Forgotten tunnels reminds me of Vanish. I think that is what its called. The game that Markiplier took like 8 videos to complete because it cucked him hard with RNG.
@@rachelsheppard9122 Yea. I didnt watch the second episode though because the first was rather boring. Vanish was more entertaining to watch because there was something always happening.
It is interesting game. Personally I love the first one pretty much. Perhaps your mistake is that you commenting it while playing :) I believe this game must be played in silence. It gives you vibes of underground. And scares in first one was legit. I shit myself when light bulb exploded. It is simple, yes, but something is made very very right. Underground thematic is missing in horror games almost completely, and when not it just silly. While there is A LOT potential in it, and this simple game is showing this perfectly.
sooo. u got several floors of basement most of them flooded to the waist or worse and yet the lower levels are not flooded... thats now how building or water work brah.
Episode 1 was a load of bollards. Episode 2 was a bit more engaging, but left more questions than it answered. Perhaps all will be revealed in episode 3...
People: The first half isn't scary. Me: Hides in the comment section. Also, YOU MISSED THE PERSON CROSSING THE OPEN DOOR!!!!!!!!!! 6:56 I thought it was just the things that looked like glowing eyes behind the gate but then I paused at the right moment and got a horrifying WTF moment. Slow down the video to see what I mean.
This game is for those who like when things go slowly, only there needs to be more suspense. It was good for me, the last part reminded me of the Thing, then isolation and "shrinking" of the brain, etc. I do not like when things are served on a plate and that things are being simplified and the world goes in that direction... So the game is good, not the best but it has very good parts and the third I have no doubt that it will be even better. One should try themselves in the creative world, not to make a game, but whatever that is creative, from here the respect for such work will be awakened...
Episode 1 was barely worth it, but I suppose it was a "trial" run for the dev, because episode 2 was much better! I'd actually like it if you played episode 3 on the channel when it's out Chris, I confess I'm curious...
I know you look for the silver lining in these games but personally I didn’t find this game entertaining whatsoever with legit no scares. And it’s like you say...it’s pretty bland and lack of anything to do apart from walking slower then a grandma. Personally episode 2 didn’t appear to be much better. So he added a few notes for a semi back story, big deal. Game is just as boring as before. And what’s the point of the story when it doesn’t even like make any sense at all? I guess I just judge harshly and I get the game was only made by like what one person or maybe two or something? But still man...if I’m gonna play a game especially a horror one I want some awesome stuff to happen and to be wowed. But I don’t find many horror games all that great. Even Silent Hill was not the best horror game for me. It had great music and some cool looking enemies sometimes but apart from that the actual like scares were lacking. The only true good horror games I have seen so far is Outlast, Alien Isolation, Layers of Fear, and a few others. It’s not easy making actual scary games that make you jump and keep you on the edge of your seat. This is one of the worst I’ve seen so far.
