I know its probably something you wouldnt be interested in but kruesi should put out some sort of course on how to do basic mechanical work on a harley davidson just the way you explain things has taught me so much about harleys

Another awesome vid, I gotta admit after years of drama in my life you guys have pushed and inspired me through the vids to pursue my "white whale", a "02 88" Dyna to get it back on the road once again and I whole heartedly thank you for it. On another note, I've noticed a few vids the sound if quite low compared to say the into, these can be raised in post production if ye not already. Just a thought. I don't "stunt" ride or do burnouts, I just putt around on my 12 Fat Bob. I have a set of Legend cartridges in my 2" over tubes and run a 13" Legend Revo A on the rear. I hated to have to go with the longer tubes but that is what the factory called for. I also had to put longer brake lines on it. I am very happy with the way it rides but feel I spent too much. I wish I had a good shop like yours near me. I did all the work myself so I saved on that but the only advice I got was from Legend.

You do not have to go with those long tubes. That’s only because you probably ordered the two over legends kit you can get them for factory length as well.

I just ordered legend rear and Race tech front rebuild kit. I plan to follow this video for my build. Question is, I ordered the spring for I think 175lbs to 250lbs. Is the preload setting the same as the heavy springs? Thanks PS: Y’all’s shipping is second to none. My parts arrived super quick. Thanks

They have directions on racetech.com on how to set preload up for those springs. There should be a QR code in the package. You can just scan that and bring up the directions. After that, it’s just trial and error.

I think I used another video of y’all’s to do my first set of forks and now at work I’m always rebuilding forks because I had to open my mouth ad tell them I knew how to do it. I currently have about 8 of them waiting to be rebuilt.

I would suggest a yellow spring stronger valving will slow the compression rate

We usually charge around three-4 hours to build a front end like this. @150 an hour.

100% worth it just put heavy race tech springs and 20 weight fluid. It will be a great front end.

Great video but im confused. He says not to go +2 but hes running a FXR damper rod which i believe is 1in longer then a stock super glide damper rod. So you are already +1 in the front when you added the racetech kit making the whole thing +2.5.

These are super glide damper rods. Which is factory for this bike. We did go an inch over with the suspension set up, though. I explained that thoroughly in the video.
