Appalachian Mountains of the US is one of the most studied mountains. It is complex in origin and includes features of O-O and O-C collisions along with continental block or precambrian origin.
Starting with events of late precambrian, about 800 my ago the process that shaped its origin continued right through the mesozoic times.

Sir, with all due respect as far as Pennsylvania mountains and maps go from the east to the west. The Blue mountains run closest to the east with the Tuscarora running parallel to the west , then the Kittatinny with the Allegheny mountain being the furthest west of the four major ridges running through the state. The Allegheny plateau is slightly to the west and mostly north of the Alleghenies. This plateau is also sometimes called the Appalachian plateau, In the northeastern part of the state just above the Blue mountain and the Tuscarora is the Pocono mountains and the Pocono plateau. Other than the order of the names of the mountains you are correct with the rest of the information as I have been taught.

During the first separation of the supercontinent , isn’t there supposed to be a ridge forming sir? Or has it no major role in the Appalachians orogeny ?

Sir, the subduction zone 2 and while the old Atlantic was closing was there the formation of volcanic mountains over the continent due to melting of subducting slab and uprising of magma?
