I like Aikmen....but, with the talent he had around him, his TD and yards should have been way more than what they were..the league is more pass oriented now, but its wasnt like people didnt put up good passing numbers back when he played too..he probably averaged about 19 TD passes a year..even in his era that would have been average to below average...ill give him credit, he played good in the playoffs..but if we're gonna be honest, had he put up those numbers on losing teams, he would never sniff the HOF
To be fair though Aikman was in a offense where they were run heavy so Aikman couldn’t throw as much put Aikman in a play style like 49ers or Green Bay packers during the 90s his numbers would skyrocket

A lot of people doubted Mahomes early when he came into the league and he more than proved them wrong. Dak has not and his fans throw parades every stat stuffing situation that comes up. We not even comparing him to a multiple SB winning QB. Can you be Goff, can you be Stafford. Can you be any QB that is competent in the post season to be in the fight with his team not the reason they go out sad.

Aikman ran a totally different offense than Mahomes. That's why Emmitt Smith is the all-time leading rusher. Mahomes runs a more pass oriented offense.
his career high in TD passes was 23..and her hit 20 ONCE (that season)..IDC what kind of offense they ran, with Irving, Harper and Jay Nov, his passing numbers should be way higher..he also threw a TON of INTs..
@carsonc29 The offensive scheme was predicated on the run. Aikman was not asked to throw like in a West Coast Offense. He could if he really needed to, but it was more run heavy to open up play action.

Aikman was carried by Jimmy, Emmitt and Irvin and Mahomes is carried by a top defense, Pacheco, Kelce, and Andy Reid. Neither one can carry a team like Dak has done his entire career.
