What an entitled brat. She made her own choices to drive drunk, she made the choices to decide not to show up to probation appointments. She destroyed her own career
@KingdomOfJudahARE NegroSlaves 'SHE PASSED THE SOBRIETY TEST! ' Get your head out of your ass, a 'field sobriety test' is only a basic field measure so an officer can ascertain if a person appears to be drunk. Even if they 'pass' it, they can still call for the real test. 'Passing' it is totally meaningless. If they didn't pass the real blood alcohol limit test they were above the limit, period.
KingdomOfJudahARE NegroSlaves < So I’m confused, Did she or did she not pass the test? You say she didn’t fail the test but the judge said vise-versa ? Clearly the judge also quoted the ex- judge was given another one or two chances more, by a second judge, clearly this ex- judge has a addiction and it’s a shame to see a beautiful black women , very educated , intellectual soft spoken but firm women who loss her entire career, with many years of schooling, studying, and sweat. Imagine what it took her to succeed for such a very powerful role . Hopefully she takes the time she’s given to think of her actions, and to realize she doesn’t have the POWER to do what she wants, she took advantage
KingdomOfJudahARE NegroSlaves she was convicted of the DWI. How did that happen if she was not drunk? She also even admitted that she failed to comply with probation’s order to abstain from drugs and alcohol. She thought that, because she was a judge, she could break the law and violate and even terminate her own probation! She showed a blatant disregard for the law and for the terms of both her conditional release and probation. She embarrassed and undermined the entire judicial system. No one broke the law here but HER. And that bleach blonde hair looks ridiculous. A more natural color would be much more flattering.
@Jason Scott 'She past the field test ..' STHU, field test is only a basic measure, no amount of 'passing it' changes the fact that the outcome of the real test is what matters.
Jason Scott I paid the tension.. to the whole video, and Cheryl’s comment makes perfect sense. No one is racist. Whether it was a white or black person standing there, the decision would be the same.
@@mekelreen9869 I think it has less to do with that and the fact she was a judge. That's just my opinion though. However I do agree with you and it shouldn't be that way.
Christy In The Carolina's true being a judge is also a factor in the leniency. I still believe gender plays a role, women do receive lighter sentences as well as law enforcement.
The “once” judge also knew better and made a mockery of the judicial system. The excuses of repeatedly ignoring community service, attending counseling, and I bet the “therapist” was a friend or confidant who she used as another excuse. Had she paid her fines, attended counseling, completed community service, and not broke conditions of her dwi misdemeanor this would have never blown up in her face. She was worse than some brat or drunk because she was “the law” who flushed her career over her disgust of losing her seat as a judge. She is passing the blame and not accepting her faults. She’s a poor sport. She disgusts me. It was a serious offense that she felt she was above and was entitled more second chances of blowing her probation. She’s a brat.
Not really, she was just saying because I am me, I should be treated differently than everybody else, especially when she said " I had to be in line like everybody else" as if she too good for it.
Her argument was terrible! She was in court for multiple probation violations, but all she addressed was her DWI conviction, and how she learned her lesson. Like the REAL judge said, “you decided to quit your probation”.
She really didnt go about this in a good way at all. She low-key insulted the judge. Explained to her what her job is. Said it was a waste of time and taxypay money and if you send her to jail she will miss out on Thanksgiving dinner.
runotit because it was a punishment. The freedoms were not randomly taken away. Follow the laws and you are free. The ex judge should know that, even more after she got to jail I imagine.

The point of my comment was to make it clear to the original commenter that their typing without all of the information. The expectation was that you all would take it upon yourselves to further research before making ill informed bias comments. I love how she is complaining about the dui prison term and trying to say she’s been punished enough, meanwhile this whole issue has nothing to do with that matter at all, this is all about probation violations, still drinking, still driving without an interlock. She is just manipulative and trying to deflect away from the fact that she plead guilty to violating probation, then refused to accept any responsibility, she deserved more time in prison.
For real. I thought she spoke eloquently and was almost feeling sorry for her till the judge showed us she was just a spoiled brat that thought she was above the law.
Brandon you are so right I was cheering for her until the judge break down all the time she fucked up as a prior judge; I can say she do have a compelling body also,,
As a former judge, her crime warrants a harsher sentence than for a typical individual. But, rather than acknowledge that, she is actually asking to be treated more leniently than a typical individual - yes, most individuals even on low level crimes such as this will find their careers destroyed. Whether that is right or not is one thing, but it is quite another for a former judge to expect to be treated better than others. Her lack of self-awareness is astonishing.
Judges have been putting away innocent minorities with no repercussions for centuries. I guess it depends on their crimes and who they were against that gets certain reactions from different people. The whole system is rigged and no one has a right to judge anyone.
Blahblah ..white male judges in the Roc also have had plenty if dwis amonst other larger crimes and they didn't persecute them to the fullest extent...so plz.
I didn't think what she did was a big deal until they said how many times she violated the conditions of her release. They gave her every opportunity to avoid jail and she squandered every one. I can't believe she's talking about being the victim of injustice when the playing field is so heavily in her favor.
@@keemarie1 Here are some quotes from an article on her disbarment "Showed questionable temperament on the bench with several cases, such as when she told a jaywalker that, if there were not laws, she "would run (jaywalkers) over because it's disrespectful," or when she told a deputy to "tase" or "shoot" or "punch ... in the face" a 16-year-old girl who was fighting efforts to bring her into court." …. Does that seem like someone who joined because she wanted to make a difference?
Lover Of Women judge or not that's not her court room and she is being looked at like every other person who commits a crime she's not better. That's like a police officer who breaks the law telling another police officer how to do their job . It don't work that way her career yes she's a judge but right now she's a person who broke the law and that's not her court room
To think a former judge puts themselves above the law and can do what they want, when they want when under sentence just goes to show how morally corrupt some in society have become. 🥺
I know it might seem like a lot of rules and hoops you have to jump through when you get a DWI or DUI but if you follow them it’s worth it once you’ve reached the end of it. My dui was a big set back and made me reevaluate my life choices. For three years I had to deal with the courts and now it’s all over and I won’t make the same mistake again. If a judge can’t follow the rules like the rest of us I would hope she would be sentenced and stripped of her career for failing to comply.
How is it a judge can't follow the rules of probation? I'm sorry but judges should be held to a higher standard, Especially if they're going to be passing judgment on others.
@@bigoen her laughing at the ends says it all. you our i would have stopped going to probation and having multiple violations would have been in jail a long time ago, not 3 yrs later. and u wonder why no one trust cops our judges. this is the reason right here
This is EXACTLY how you need to be defending yourself in a courtroom. Period. That’s what really pissed off the judge. Strong women, like strong men, don’t cry in front of people. If you grew up hard, you know this. I don’t care. But yeah, driving drunk is beyond stupid…to do it over again makes it worse.
So she’s more worried about the inconvenience she is experiencing rather than the innocent lives she could’ve taken while intoxicated. What a great judge she must’ve been. For convicts
I'm not sure, but the mentioned several violations and not just not reporting... seems like she attempted to drive drunk a couple more times but something on her vehicle prevented her
I love hearing a judge go through the same pain and suffering of what they have done to others over their entire career. Judges (like cops) use civilian's lives as a game and judges like this one have no respect or regard for the public. This lady didn't even remotely serve near the amount of time she needed to for her actions. But very glad she has lost her entire career, dealt with an interlock, and also served a nice long jail sentence. Maybe now she will think tice of all those she has hurt in the past.
That is nonsense they say here in this country so that an attorney can make a nice pay check at someone elses expense. Everything always comes down to money here and if someone is representing themselves in court, a lawyer will not be paid their outrageous fees or by the state to represent the person. That is why they say that to discourage people from putting a lawyer out of work by representing themselves.
from reading up on her history it seems alcohol rather than being her best friend is her worst enemy. it can be extremely difficult dealing with a highly educated alcoholic as they believe they have the answer to everything besides never being at fault. i have dealt with alcoholic loved ones as well as impaired physicians. sobriety might be her greatest ally and hopefully could get her life and career back on track.
I believe that this kind of justice needs to happen more often All too often do we see officials skate on charges that would have landed us in serious trouble
They only do that to black female judges. Never have we witnessed a white judge removed in that manner. It was to humiliate her. There has always been corruption involving white judges but of course the laws don't pertain to them.
When this first happened and they put her on probation she specifically told the judge she wanted straight time because she did not want to mess with probation and said she would violate it so she could just serve her time.
@@nicholethompson9831 But that's not her right to tell the judge what she wants to do period. If we as regular people can't make those kind of decisions why should she be able to? You can't say "Well, I've never been locked up before, I'm a former judged, and i've helped people. So i should get what I want." It doesn't work like that. SHE WAS WORKING FOR LAW for Christ sakes. So she has no excuse for what she did. The judge gave minor things to do because he can't just let her go unpunished. She could have killed someone . Then she was resisting arrest!? You're basically saying (As a person working for the law) that its ok to disrespect the law. She was wrong point, blank, period. You don't choose the punishment you receive when you've done wrong. She felt untouchable and quickly seen she can be touched. She felt too entitled and got stripped of her title. She tried to use the black card and thought using the public to manipulate the law would help her out. But it only pissed off those who held the outcome of her future off. My mom taught me when I was in school to get in good with the teachers and forget trying to make friends with the students because the teachers are the ones who ultimately decide if you pass or not. She should have not only used that taktik but done what her probation required. Plus she received WAY more chances than what any of would've gotten since she wants to play the race game at such a sensitive time when real stuff is going on. She played the race card for her own gain not remembering all the people can do is get in their feelings which will cause another war all because she is upset that things aren't going how she wants. Within the whole 3 years of her going through this she could have kept her job and been done with this whole thing. It wasn't like she was waiting for a trial. She literally kept violating her probations which obviously prolonged it! She literally brought this on herself as a GROWN woman WORKING FOR THE LAW!
@@nicholethompson9831 how can somebody put you on probation without your consent? Probation violates so many of your natural rights that you literally have to volunteer to be on probation via contract. Either she consented to probation or her rights were violated and her crimes should have been dropped.
@@tantofirewater6707 Imprisonment violates natural rights. She was already sentenced to imprisonment the violation was conditional. As far as I no she has no legal right in the USA to determine her own sentence - that is decided by the Judge who in this particular case decided on probation. Can you quote a specific law that says differently?
The defendant is not saying anything her counsel wouldn't say, and she was well spoken. She was respectful. But this is why you have counsel. Council can say things that are self-serving for the defendant and not look prideful or boastful or unrepentant. By defending herself, that is how she comes off. In fact the better she defends herself, the worse she looks. She is very capable of defending herself, maybe even the best defender, but she should have put her faith in a fellow lawyer. If someone is sent to jail for 30 days, and on day 30 they escape the prison for breakfast and return, what is the proper penalty for that offense? That's the situation here. She's already been sentenced, harshly, for the initial crime. She's now being held accountable for taking Liberty during her sentence.
At first, I thought, "She presented her own case so well, she must be right ." However, when I heard the judge list all the times she was given leniency and STILL refused to follow the rules, I realized that this " upstanding law-abiding citizen " came from years of serving as a judge . It's just an act. That's all .
You thought she presented her case well? She's narcissistic, entitled, and has an attitude problem like so many 2,12,1,3,11 women (cant say it because RU-vid will censor it if I spell it out, but I think you can crack the code).
"Probation is supposed to help me not hurt me" .... Yeah... I'm sure that's exactly what you were thinking Everytime you put someone on probation.... Karma at it's finest.
Probation is a BREAK. You could have been in JAIL for that time, self-righteous "Oppressed Person". YOU COULD'VE HELPED YOURSELF, BUT DIDN'T. SO DON'T EXPECT THE REST OF THE WORLD TO DO IT FOR YOU.
For anyone who's never been incarcerated on probation or parole it's foolish to pass judgement the system is incredibly corrupt run by incompetence and slays immeasurable amounts of poor OPPRESSED PEOPLE daily

After never hearing about the case. I found myself wondering why they were hard on her. Then I heard the rest of the story! This was a clear case of being intitled. She felt, she need not follow the rules. It would be interesting to see how and who she represents in a court. I wonder how she will guild her clients, given the fact she chooses not to follow the courts requirements herself.
True. At this point, she did the best she could as for a defense. Perhaps my statement should have included the pattern of her behavior she has displayed. I would say that a White man who does what she does probably would not face the same consequences and that injustice is unfair, but it seems like she has this consistent pattern of disregarding the terms of her sentencing
@@anthonyjohndemito Not necessarily. The only court proceedings where people have the right to a lawyer are criminal cases. In any other legal matter you gotta shell out big bucks for a lawyer, or represent yourself pro se, unless you have a law degree.
I’ve seen a couple judges go to jail now. The common denominator is always the complete lack of remorse or humility. It’s like they think no one else has the right to judge them because they’ve spent so much time with the power to judge others.
She was speaking as a lawyer in those instances; this is why one should never represent oneself; if a lawyer for a defendant had said those same things you would have heard them differently, I venture to say.
So basically what she just said is I’m not responsible for my actions I’ll do whatever I want and since I’m an extra age we need to dismiss the charges kind of crap that owner didn’t.
Getting sentenced to six months in jail for a first-time DUI after already serving four months is outrageous. I bet 95%+ of all adults have driven with BAC above 0.08% at some point.
Her point there was that officers of the court don't go through the same lines as the general public. That said, she probably should just leave the house earlier.
@@LordPrometheous her point is MUTE because she's no longer considered an "OFFICER OF THE COURT". because she's been disbarred she no longer gets special privileges.. she's a convicted criminal now. And subject to the same delays etc as anyone else.

@John Nelson indeed! We live in the strangest of times don't we? We deform everything with sectarianism and racial/gender ideology, especially on the social network. In part is misplaced virtue signaling, and a cozy excuse to hide our own shortcomings as you say. (You black, I'm Italian; he's gay, she's lactose intolerant: we all are oppressed and justified in being little scoundrels), But their is more I think: it is written that he who has evil in is heart will always see evil in everything. This way of thinking really poisons everything.
@9:25 I love how she also wants to use the time served on a CD [that she violated], was placed on probation [that she violated, hence back in court]. And, how's this for over-arching on a position, in NYS the court doesn't have to take into account any time served outside of the time served while in jail or prison. Maybe if she took a step back, as a former judge she would have thought of that.
Omg .. she literally said my therapist told me this needs to be over for my mental health lmao I wonder what she would have said if someone told her that when she was on the bench I'm so glad she's not a judge anymore

Entitled narcissist says it all. She is a very intelligent woman, but is not above the law. If anyone would know the consequences of their actions, this woman would. She is intelligent and very attractive. That will allow her success in the future. Drunk driving is serious and unacceptable, particularly for a person of legal power.

She almost pulled me in with her sob story. Watching her laugh as she was led away in cuffs destroyed any pity I had remaining after the Judge made her case.
Same. Without knowing any of the background, she had me convinced she was being treated unfairly. Once the judge responded her sob story seemed far less convincing. When she smirked at the end I knew she got what she deserved.
Tom Askey I agree. I was feeling bad for her but when the judge read the number if times she was given another chance, then refused to show up to probation, and ....THEN SMILE AND GIGGLE ON HER WAY OUT? Id give her a year.

It is sad when someone like this beautiful, educated, articulate, successful American finds one's self in such a deplorable position. I am so sorry for her. I pray she comes out to rebuild herself and become successful again.
It is physically IMPOSSIBLE for her to accept responsibility for her criminal actions. Her senses of entitlement and narcissism are both beyond measure. She's an absolute embarrassment.
What blows my mind was when they took her out of the room she was smiling and laughing and seemed happy about going back to jail. She doesn't care. She did not learn anything. I felt that her response after she got arrested again was very disrespectful
Nicki M Double negatives aside, she’s not living in reality. She didn’t once address her own culpability, impact of her decisions or show contrition. It’s as if she believes her predicament is a result of unfair treatment, rather than repeatedly exercising very poor judgement. If she didn’t abuse her position as a judge during her arrest and complied with the terms of her punishment, she’d still be a judge. Instead, she’s grandstanding and playing he martyr.
