Amazing how he remembers small details about player’s parents and grandparents and who they supported. These are things that make the difference in management.
No. People at United say that he knew everyone right from the laundry boy to the chef , their families everything. He remembered them by their names. People can give their lives for someone who makes you feel so special. That 2012-13 United team was top 4 at best but they beat a much superior City quite comfortably that season. The fact that United finished 7th with the same squad shows the genius Sir Alex was. The GOAT indeed.
@@BennyH11 we shall see I think with his presence man city and Chelsea have a serious contender alot players going to be wanting to play with him you will see the best come out in all of them trust and the fans hype at home games will give it an immense atmosphere! Which the team will get a boast by it and the players will be hyped up asf! Alot of people hating and doubting will be eating there words soon. Ronaldo, Fernandez, Canvani, Sancho, Martial Van Dee Beek and what Ronaldo can teach up and coming english prospect Mason Greenwood! he has been showing what he can do recently the lesson he can now get off Ronaldo will be invaluable and to the rest of the youngsters coming up!
I'm a Manchester United supporter, but I'm firstly a fan of football, and that necessitates the appreciation of any football figure for their abilities and achievements, no matter who they play/manage for. Some would say Sir Alex is the greatest manager of all time, but there are many great managers who may not have won as much silverware, but have the ability to bring out the best in their players.
Yeh! Doesn't matter what team you support from 1-18ish or whatever because you end up supporting the team you play for. Like Carra supported Everton till be was 18 and used to go to Liverpool training in a fucking Everton top ffs! Harry Kane WAS an Arsenal fan.
Signing the best player in the league year after year, and bullying refs to a point of it being worthy of a formal investigation. Not that it ever was … Speak for yourself. I’m not astonished. He wouldn’t have even got to the first cup win, in the modern game, and his style is entirely anachronistic
This man is a football god. Put rivalry aside, I’m not a Man U fan in the slightest but we were incredibly fortunate to have an old school genius like him so late on in time. Managers and club owners should always use Sir Alex as a point of reference in how a club should be run.
You’re right, realistically, Alex Ferguson in his style and discipline should’ve been extinct far before his time. We were lucky to have had such a character as late as 2013.
1 thing he had better than any other manager in history was his ability to reinvent himself over the course of time. Managers can have a good period, some longer than the others. But to virtually stay at the top from 1992 to 2013, I don't think anyone was as consistent as him. Great managers like Wenger & Mourinho have matched him at certain periods of their careers but unlike Sir Alex those 2 couldn't reinvent themselves & got left behind.
This was the manager of arguably the biggest club on planet earth. The details he remembers is insane. Most managers don't deal with the things like meeting families and finding out different things in that players life. He is not just a manager, he's everything.
I grew up hating fergie as a Geordie, absolutely loved it every time we beat them or even nicked a win, now he’s long retired I can confidently say he’s the best manager I’ve ever witnessed, better than any manager currently right now, this man knows football better than anyone.
Such respect to the people putting aside the fact he managed Manchester United most of his career and is our greatest manager to ever have lived and in alot of english peoples eyes he is too! Respect!
@@tonywilliams7152 great record but didn't transcend the sport nearly as much as Fergie. He's basically the Michael Jordan of football management, with 13PL trophies to boot.
@@FountainOfYoot won more European cups than fergie in less than half the time fergie was the manager for man u. Higher win ratio of the league than fergie. 6 in 9 years..fergie 13 in 26. No manager to this day has won more European cups. Transcending the sport is a matter of opinion. Facts are facts.
@@tonywilliams7152 Lol so what you're saying is, because Paisley managed for 9 seasons and won 6 pls, he was a better manager than Fergie who adapted to changes in the sport for three decades and won the most league titles of anyone in the top flight ever? Who before united won the European cup with Aberdeen?? lol. The man who took a man United that was at some point one of the worst teams in england and made them the most decorated club with the most league titles? lol man. Paisley inherited Shanklys Liverpool. Fergie inherited Ron Atkinson's United and through his work made them the most successful English club and most supported club in the world (yeah yeah LFC has 3 more UCLs but that's not because of one coach). Read about Ron when you get a chance. If you're going to use win rate in league and Europe, then I guess Zidane is the greatest coach of all time. He's won as many as Paisley and in a shorter time. 😊
The Boss says CR could play on into his 40’s. Ronaldo said he’ll retire at 35, today I see this video again, and at 36 (?) he’s re signing to Utd from Juventus on a 2 year deal. Sir Boss knows best Rhonny 😉
@Fanny On my face he was underrated in terms of how people thought of and still think of others aspects to him rather than the football. Was a master at what he did, just check his PL stats.
@@saifservaia5863 Beckham had a long ball touches i remember as a kid i saw him cross the ball from nowhere from difficult angle and able to goes straight to the his teammates and also a free kick taker.. but for CR7 he prefer run ins dribble from the Right midfield to the penalty box rather than crossing long ball but then Ferguson convert him to be a goal scorer
I feel SAF kept on priming him to return to OT before he retires.. he's kept that relationship strong, after all these years. It's rare to come by such strength in relationships between people. The people involved Carlos Queiroz, Peter Kenyan.etc thankyou for recognising Cristiano's talent. Thankyou for giving us Ronaldo. What a blessing.
Ronaldo was very lucky he had an mentor like Fergie at such an young age or else look at likes of Ronaldinho adriano queresma gaza and other talented players whom never really could maintain themselves longterm.
His memorization skills are very impressive. I've seen interviews of players saying he remembered everything they did right and wrong in a game even if he hadn't rewatched the game, he apparently knew every players parents and partners names as well.
@John Jensen You must’ve been watching a different Man Utd😳 Who needs polite when you’re winning trophies and keeping the media in their place!? Man deserves credit for that alone.
When a GOAT talks about two GOATS (Beckham for his incredible spirit and motivation of course, plus his talent - I only say Greece; Ronaldo obviously).
I met Sir Alex once at an ice cream parlor in Los Angeles. He was super and surprised that an American watched Man United. But he was a bit confused because he kept on saying, “I am not Alex Ferguson you daft little punk.” and “get it off my leg you sonofabitch.” Also it’s a bit weird thinking back about now, because when I met him he was bald and Puerto Rican. It’s so so that he is able to switch skin and bodies whenever he wants! Thanks Sir Alex thanks 🙏🏻
Oh brother I remember that day. I there too and see him. You are real person and story is definited real story 10000 per cents and pennies for u thoughts cause a quib is a dollar somewhere. And a Bob is a penny maybe dawg. But I there and seeal the ice to u at the parole ice cream parlor. I own ice cream parlor shop and have delicious ice cream for all people! No discussion or discrimination
*EXACTLY “PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT”!! ALTHO NO ONES “PERFECT” BUT IN THIS EARTH WE CALLED IT “PERFECT” WHEN WE SAW SOMEBODY DID AN INCREDIBLE THING....* 🤔😎
without destroy Ronaldo,so kind's Sir Alex must prorect or help ronaldo to leave Mu in order ronaldo to create another nice football life. God bless yours.you...
Who else has gone on the rabbit hole search of this "Roonaldo" fella, hoping to find an old obscure reference to this forgotten player. Also, Mrs Gosling, you never call me back!
Really impressive to see that Sir even knows the names of the ladies that ran the digs. I’d be surprised if the Premier League managers today could do that. 🏘
Sir Alex Ferguson's English makes my 20 years of learning this great language a complete waste of time. :-( I can hardly understand him even with subtitles.
What a MANGER ranks with Brian Clough, Sir Matt Busby, Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley and all the real good mangers. Never see the likes of him again. Pitty.
