Yes! Thank the maker. Alright that's how you're supposed to make a katsudon. I hate it when they cook the crispy cutlet with the broth and eggs to make it all steamed and soggy. Keep the crispy katsu on top of the don.
Food looks great, tho I am oddly curious about the little flag he puts in each bowl lol. It's a fun touch to the meal. Maybe that signifies the dish is complete and the server can take it away and serve? Maybe b/c it's a mountain of food so you put a flag at the top of a mountain?
Good content, I like it, but I feel sorry for the chef because it looks like his cooking counter (table) is too low for him, so he has to bend down and it will cause a stiff neck after hours of cooking... 😅
Is it possible to order a smaller portion? My girlfriend doesn’t eat that much & at the same time I don’t want to insult the chef for not finishing his hard work. Her & I are visiting the country next year and we’ll definitely stop by this delicious establishment.
You can try asking the owner if it's okay for you guys to share. I think they will understand especially if you are tourist. On the part of insult to chef, I have heard of that too. However, my friend who stayed in Japan for 8 years said he share food all the time and no such thing. Perhaps this only apply in Tokyo or certain part of Japan.
@@unkertech it would make sense in big cities that have very minimal space to be quite upset to share. I can totally see from a business standpoint. I’ll definitely make sure to ask. Thanks!
