The title made me laugh at first but after hearing her story, I felt that she was genuinely remorseful for her actions that day and I believe in second chances. Weirwille's appointee to lead the cult's followers in the UK was a guy named Chris Geer who stirred up controversy among the ordained graduates of their seminary and caused some schisms with the publication of his account of private conversations he had with Weirwille shortly before his death. Not long after I got involved, they briefly lost their tax exempt status for politicking from the pulpit, but they successfully appealed the decision. About five years after I came to my senses and left the cult, Weirwille's successor, Rev. Loy Craig Martindale, resigned when a follower committed suicide, leaving a note stating that he caught his wife in an extramarital affair with the leader and couldn't live with the shame. My biggest hurdle to this day is keeping control of my anger when I see politicians responsible for spending our tax dollars standing in front of the TV cameras while blatantly and deliberately gaslighting the elcectorate from both sides of the aisle.
Well to me it sounds like you're saying she's not responsible for her actions because she lacks intelligence. Do YOU go around letting other people sway your thinking, and "taking advantage" of you? I don't either. I'm a trump supporter, but he wasn't my candidate. My candidate didn't make it past the primaries. After that it's just the "lesser of two evils" like ANY intelligent person does when they have to. And showing up for the peaceful rally on Jan 6th was just a way to say we don't trust the election of 2020. Hey that's ok, right? It sure was ok 4 years prior.
Nah, its pretty easy to do when your dying and getting paid off to help with medical bills and make sure your family is all set before you die. If she has such a conscious then she should be in jail right now and been there for 2 yrs like all the others have, not just get probation and still have her freedom. If she was so selfless she wouldn't have waited so long. Smh

She played a very small role in Trump's conspiracy to overthrow the government. Prison should be a place to lock up violent and dangerous criminals to protect public safety. She definitely committed a crime and admitted guilt, but I doubt she's either violent or dangerous.
You're right about that, but he wasn't even clever about, so I'm almost prone to call her stupid because anyone with half a brain would know Trump's actions were wrong.
I respect her for coming around and being honest with herself, and I hope she's able to make a recovery. That said, I lost my family to this cult and I suspect they'll never escape it. Most people who fall for cults never get out. I'll resent this cult as long as I live. They've torn our counrty apart.

I have to applaud this woman for taking a stand and speaking out. It's very brave of her. It would be much easier to stay silent than publicly admit that she fell for a cult leader's BS. And to be dealing with cancer at the same time... I'm notnsure I would be able to do that. I respect this woman's courage, and ability to admit that she was wrong. Not a common trait amongst Trump supporters.... I hope her story will help others see the light.
What is important is that she learned something from her experience. None of us are perfect. Never get so loyal to your political party or a candidate. That you become blind to the warning signs about someone not being what they say they are. It has to be country first every time!

@@kyleorr533 So why was gas cheaper under trump. Was it some particular policy he had? No, it was the drop in demand due to the bungled trump response to Covid and badly hurt our economy. The economy rose sharply due to specific policy changes under Biden that improved economic investment, helped companies to open production and increase shipping products and helped workers return to work. Basic economics shows that increased demand and limited supply results in increased prices because under Biden we have recovered faster than any other economy. One of the problems is the oil companies charging far more than they need to as evidenced by their record profits. Attempts by the Democrats to address price gouging of the American public are met with complete resistance by the congressional Republicans. The economy tanked under trump and Biden is doing a great job building that economy back. More jobs have been created under this administration than by the last 3 Republican presidents combined. You have to actually research what you say instead of watching right wing talking points, that is why what you say makes no sense.
I'm so proud of this woman. And I for one, welcome her with open arms. I want to give her a hug so badly. I hope she gets well and wish her luck with her cancer battle.
