43:43 tbh I don't think the concept of flip-flopping sides to leverage better deals is a bug necessarily, it seems pretty intentional as a way to leverage your power to coerce smaller states into giving you better deals, by siding with the opposing side and then saying "hey they're going to become my puppet and you can't win against me, how about you at least make sure you're the one ruling the new regime." There is however a weird sometimes glitch with it though, I don't remember the specifics but in my Raj run I ended up flip flopping twice to get both parties as my puppet and it kind of borked the game into just giving me two tiny puppets by negating the war somehow. That at least is probably a bug though I don't remember the specifics too well. Tl;dr, supporting the side you don't want to win to twist the arm of the side you do want to win is a feature, not a bug(imo at least, maybe they do end up removing it eventually)

This is what Vicky 3 should have been from the start. Finding gameplay opportunities to scheme or force your way into creating the the nation you want and its place in the world. Sadly, for almost 2 years it was mostly a boring "line go up" simulator. I'm on my second play through of sphere of influence and Vicky 3 has really come around. The only negative is the fact that you had to spend another $30usd to make it happen, that's bullshit. But if I put that aside, the game finally feels dynamic like EU4 and Vicky 2 where I can set my own goals and have more than one way to achieve them through gameplay. MY only major compliant still lies with the military gameplay. God I miss the sensation of making and moving my armies and navies around the map like pawn pieces on a chess board. I will never understand the developer's insistence on not letting a bad idea die. Let me move my pieces around like chess pieces on a board. It's actually far more interesting and strategic gameplay than "I have this many numbers to assign to X, Y or Z front". So boring. Let me click on and move stacks around. I loved in EU4 and Vicky 2 how I chose where to station armies and had to make conscious decisions on where and when I wanted armies around my empire and overseas territories. Even when I made bad decisions like posting way too many troops overseas and then war breaking out on mainland Europe and being caught with my pants down because I didn't have the naval power to safely ferry armies back to the continent was amazing gameplay and roleplaying. I can't believe that the moron game director thought he was going to go and reinvent the wheel when it came to military. It was, and still is, a terrible decision that could be fixed but almost 2 years going I don't think they are going to backtrack to the better gameplay mechanic. IT's sad.

43:10 I'm not sure if that is a bug but the feature has been termed a yo-yo sway. Previously as long as you are not fighting in another war and were not siding with another participant in another war, you can sway the the undesirable side and then get a better sway with the desired side. You tend to get a lot of free expansion from revolutions.

I'm starting a prussian run. 1. For principles I'm rushing construction one for the +20% construction efficiency company that also boosts throughput steel, glass, and tools. 2. For tech I'm going to stay in society until i get at least steel construction pm + pan nationalism + another company. 3. I'm also going to day 1 transfer the east indies to me (easy to occupy netherlands)

managed to form super germany at like 1853-ish, combination of bankroll + improve relations with austria (i was lucky enough that austria allowed me to join their krakow civil war so it bumped up the relation to genial) but the amount of radicals i have is kicking my butt, around 21M right now at 1860s is too much lmao

I'd actually like to see a game where the Austrian player lets Prussia form Germany. (doesn't have to give up land). I play a lot of multiplayer and I want to learn Austria better. I can't seem to find any good multiplayer lets plays where the chatter isn't head ache inducing. So a single player game of Austria where Germany forms would be cool to see.

New update ruined my first and last run. I was playing as the Ottomans. All my buildings and land I owned got bugged out. Australia had land in Europe. Denmark owned the entirety of Italy. Should've known the new update would ruin my run.

Wallachia, moldavia, Serbia are quite litteraly broken, everyone of my ottoman empire games they maximise their industry to a level that the single biggest producer of some specific resources or products are them. I remember seeing like 800 engines production in moldavia when the 2nd biggest production in the ottoman market is one of my random provinces with 100 150 or something.

I was excited for the DLC, but they botched it. Almost nothing works properly and late game performance is abysmal. It will takes months to fix. Unfortunately that will not save the franchise

The Power bloc principles are completely OP. I did not expect it to be perfectly balanced from the get go but they are even stronger than I expected. The Dixie migrating to Germany is very silly. A nerf in month or two will be welcome.
