It almost sounds like Icelandic because of the accent but with a hint of the modern Swedish pitch accent. And I’m so happy to see Old Swedish getting some attention, it and East Norse are rarely talked about.
I would argue that it sounds neither like Swedish nor Icelandic, since there are many features not found in them, such as stressed short syllables like /ban.a/ or /buð/
So sad I cant do anything like this for my language, cos pre 19. century atestations are poluted by piles uppon piles of german words and expressions as the scribes where german (and we cant just purge them all cos some of the german loan words where used by our ancestors, our word for and is un meaning the und was loaned so long ago that it underwhent our drop of final plosives, one of our most common words is the german jā) and even then the oldest atestation is early 16. century, so not even medival anymore its just the modern language already without vocabulary for modern technology. And the reconstructed proto-balto-slavic is too far back, technically a language of our ancestors but not recognisable as uniquely ours but rather an middle indo-europian language.
Jag har länge letat efter en sån video. Tack. Jag pratar inte svenska som modersmål dock så jag kan inte förstå något als. Kanske om du kan, skulle du kunna ge utskriften till texten som du läste. Jag försökte hitta den men jag kunde inte.
