If you think his Clone Wars voice is nasty, listen to it with Spanish or Russian subtitles. In particular the latter, makes him sound like even more of a badass.
Probably not most Sith, they don't mind twisting your head 180 degrees if you can't defend yourself with the force. Still in terms of saber combat he could probably beat Vader and Maul.
@@nestor1907 it's just an example, other things Sith do to regular people include crushing vital organs, mind control, and freezing them in place. Although snapping Grevious's neck would probably still kill him considering he still has a brain and it needs to be connected to his organ sack.
@@anthonyrodriguez8788 Yeah, but it also depends if we're speaking about Canon Grievous (from 2008 TCW and ROTS) or Legends Grievous (the former aswell as 2003 CW, which makes him much more powerful). If it's 2008 he'll get curbstomped in a matter of seconds. If it's Legends Grievous, he's able to escape Ki Adi Mundi's force crush before it happens, aswell as dealing 13 strikes per second. Legends would probably kill or defeat some non-advanced Sith, but I agree it would at most give a tough fight to Sith Masters and it would be like crushing a can of metal for a Sith Lord, let's not imagine what an ancient Sith Lord could do to the General xD
i really wish grievous would have eventually revealed a red lightsaber that he took from a fallen jedi/rogue dark-sider. If it was pulled off right, it would send shivers up and down the spine
A personal favorite of mine from the comics is "Those of you who can still stand, return to your master... and tell him to send more men!" It's made all the better by the fact he delivered this line after killing several Mandalorians with his bare hands.
I like how if Disney didn't cancel the show and it showed Grievous tanking and ripping up Mandalorians in Clone Wars everyone saying he was nerfed would immediately shut up.
I love how the only droid who can talk smack to him is the one who fixes his cybernetics for him, cuz Grievous knows that if he were to destroy it, he'd be without a fixer-upper until he gets a replacement one, and those specific droids are very rare and expensive to come across from what I hear.
They portray him as a general and a great Jedi hunter, but he's only presented as a pompous and overconfident coward who constantly underestimates his enemies and ends up running away like a Scooby Doo villain.
3:36 -Count Dooku may have teached ypu to swing lightsaber General. But that hardly makes you my equal. -AND YET I AM GENERAL IN CHARGE OF THIS ASSAULT.
Crazy how when you really think about it ‘08 Grievous was actually a terrifying opponent, especially against the likes of Kenobi who Grievous defeated a majority of the time throughout the war with Kenobi only gaining an advantage by using the force causing grievous to make a tactical retreat. And that’s the thing really, the only times Grievous is forced into a retreat is because he’s against a power he can not counter. If anything the Jedi to him are cowards since they rely solely upon the force in order to gain the upper hand as seen throughout the war.
@@jeremychau2322 indeed, if you look back at Grievous’s duels against Kenobi you can even see how overpowering he is. If not for Kenobi’s strong defensive form he would’ve been killed countless times. At one point during the Unfinished Utapau crystal crisis Arc Grievous defeated Kenobi in less than 20 seconds. Quite a feat showing how much Grievous’s fighting prowess has progressed.
@@Fi_Sci_ People just trash on Grievous because he was captured by Gungans. I myself don't really get it; the Gungans are capable fighters with the perfect weaponry to fight a cyborg and there was an ARMY of them.
@@maxburrill6192 Grievous was pretty much portraying a part of the audience in that scene, underestimating the capabilities of the Gungan’s, and lost as a result. The Gungan army is no joke.
Grievous was an instrument of terror, with a long, _long_ list of war crimes under his belt. Everything from unleashing human-targeted biological weapons on entire systems to bombarding planets with hours of turbolaser fire until the entire surface turns molten and kills all life.
Grievous might be one of the most evil Star Wars villains. He’s definitely up there with Palpetine in terms of ruthlessness. What sets him apart is that he really doesn’t believe in anything. He just wants to kill Jedi and collect their sabers after what they did to him in his past (which was deserved knowing how ruthless he was before the shuttle crash). He takes Obi Wan’s description of Vader and runs with it. More machine than man.
@@thanoseid2883 His armor is actually super underrated. In The Clone Wars, his weakest (or second weakest) version, his armor was still capable of protecting him from everything except lightsabers
I forgot how op grevious seemed. Able to use four sabers, plus his feet which could be used not only for separate attacks, but could also hold sabers. Just give him the force and God help us all
i for one love that he turned into a saturday morning villain every cast of villains needs at least one who twirls their mustache and ties people to the railroad tracks
@@SolarSailer2 it is the future of what will happen but Palpatine has you die to the jedi scum kenobi. Palpatine all clones betray the jedi while you died to one. idk why he has you die to Kenobi but that's what happends
@Der Ritter why are people missing the obvious fact that Grievous was hunched over with his cape on when he talked to anakin they were at face level with each other yes Asoka described grievous as being taller because he was actually at full height wielding sabers
@@postsniper-7532 hes always hunched. Even during combat. Him standing at full height would make him taller than all other SW characters except for the obviously giant/huge aliens
its a crime on how much Grievous was nurfed, i mean 2D version took 5 jedi 4 being masters and a Arc trooper squad without a scratch. And then he can hardly keep his own against 1 master, the guy can use 4 LIGHTSABERS at once for fuck sake!
I like the explanation in the 2003 Clone Wars that he WAS a known jedi killer, but after being crippled by Mace Windu he just became a shell of his former self, though still retaining some serious danger. I take it in the present canon he's simply a great warrior and general that the sith felt was able to command their armies after he became a cyborg. Powerful as a Jedi but limited to simply physical strengths (though not as specialized as 2003 Grevious to be a Jedi Killer). And the trophies he collected were probably more hard earned through a mix of duels and some underhanded tactics.
@@minicle426Yeah but to be fair that was one of his debut stories so its not like there were any set rules yet, if he's supposed to be a deadly equal to jedi you better beleive Genndy's gonna run with that
WHAAAAAT?! You're now doing Star Wars heroes and villains? Alright! Could you do this with G.I. Joe, Power Rangers (wouldn't hurt to do some live action quotes for once), danny phantom, big hero 6 (maybe after season 3 of the show is done), Miraculous Ladybug, the incredibles, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (maybe even Buzz and zurg from toy story), king fu panda, Max Steel, Paw Patrol, PJ Masks, and the Rocketeer?
@@spencerevans7915 No problem. Also, expecting the Great Quotes of these characters (including the songs to follow them) * Spider-Gwen - "Born Ready" from Marvel Rising by Dove Cameron * Miles Morales - "What's Up Danger" from Into the Spider-Verse * Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) - "Teenage Dream" by Kate Perry * Star-Lord - "Reach for the Stars" from Sonic Colors
The version of him we know and love in Disney Clone Wars is pathetically weakened as a fighter and character to those of us who knew him in legends. I miss that monster.
Man it sucks what happened to Eith Koth. Left the order after this crapfest of a war, then in a few years, his wife bears his child only for Vader to kidnap him and killing Koth and his wife in the process
Is it weird that I like the animated series voice of grevious then what we got in the cgi clone wars, it’s calm but in a way that has that boost to it- Like a actual general
If you guys really think about it even tho gracious died. His mission in the end was complete. The Jedi went extincted. So in a way grevious achieved his goals and won.
General Grievous reminds me an awful lot of Hopper from A Bug’s Life, cause I think they basically based Grievous off him. Like, they’re both ruthless and merciless tyrants, they both even have four arms, and big clawed feet.
