The way that all of the Forq records have been mixed is insanely unique, so deep and grungy but retain so much clarity at the same time.

After having seen Forq as warming up for Snarky Puppy in Copenhagen 2019 I felt felt the League touch to the intro. Still .. Forq followed by SP is an ultimate combination and I'll be forever grateful having experienced both bands in motion !!

Glad you enjoy it. Although we certainly have big respect for MMW, it's more likely that we are listening to some of the same stuff that they do. Go back to the originals -- 70s, 60s, 50s.

It is a Michael League trademark to write a song in 4/4 but add in so many conflicting and complicated polyrhythyms, you wouldn't hear it right away. In fact, some wouldn't even guess it was. Though I don't know if Mike actually wrote this one... =P

Sounds like a Big Muff or something similar. Definitely fuzz not overdrive/distortion.

Look, I've never heard these guys before and I appreciate new styles but honestly, is he trying to sound like a 11 year old who tries to play a solo and pinch harmonics for the first time in his life between 3:15 - 4:46? It sounds bloody stupid. Btw 3:51 sounds like Crazy Frog & 4:12 is Purple Haze.
