FYI - when you save AsBuilt files or any Forscan files - they are stored in the Windows "Document directory in a Forscan folder. Therefore, you should regularly make a backup of that folder and store the Backup Folder on a thumb drive. Otherwise, should your computer's hard drive fail and you had to reload the Windows system - you would lose all the Forscan data forever!
That video was very helpful. I am looking at purchasing a 2021 or 2022 f150 xlt and want to do oem led tail light conversion. Looks like forscan is a great tool.
This is truly a great video, very well presented and calmly explained. Thank you for this, is there a feature which will disable the horn honk on auto start?
Awesome video, thank you so much for doing this! I'm pretty sure I asked about it in one of your previous videos. Lol. Maybe a shorter video on recalibrating the speedo for your tire size would be great. I'm sure others would like that as well. Your truck looks so sick since you put the wheels and tires on it!! I love a white truck with black and milled wheels. I've ran that look on my last 3 trucks and my current F150. You should load yours on Custom Offsets gallery if you haven't already. Thanks again for the good 21 F150 content! Wishing you prosperity and health my friend. Apologies for the long post, but I couldn't let it go after watching a 17 minute video of you in UGA gear. Haha. Die hard Auburn fan here, War Eagle!!!
Your video is great and very informative. I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator and a 2011 Ford Taurus SEL. My interest is mostly for diagnostics, such as misfires, etc.. The Navigator is now 20 years old. With that in mind, will ForScan take care of diagnostics for both vehicles? Thanks for the feedback.
Great video!!! Do you have any idea on how to make the day running lights leds be brighter or same brightest at night, I know it was a mode on that for 2020 models but not sure on this 2021
Thanks man for the tutorial, I just bought a 2022 and have been wanting to make the temp numbers to appear constantly. I saw the bracelet btw, when did you get out man?
Hello. I need your help please. I installed tremor taillights with black bezel instead of my Lariat 502a taillights. It works, just when I turn on my turn signal it works correctly, till I press brake pedal. With brake lights, my turn flush stops to flushing and it's becoming continuously. When I release brake pedal, it starts to flush. What configuration should I modify? Thank you in advance
Basically you just back out to the main screen that has all the modules and click on PCM relearn and start it and it’ll do it right then and lead you through the process.
Have you enabled the glare free headlights in your KR? It should be a high enough trim to have that ability. If so, were you able to do it in easy mode? Or did you need to be in advanced settings to do so?
Very detailed. I ordered that OBDlink EX on Amazon Prime day because it was like $10 off. Now I'm watching videos and doing research. Watching this video you put out was very helpful and made me feel a little better about FORScan. I plan to disable ASS and see about Global windows. Are you able to disable Cylinder Deactivation in FORScan? I have a 5.0 with an aftermarket exhaust and you can really notice it when it kicks in.
Good I'm glad man. I'll help ya if ya need anything if I know the answer. Yeah ASS was one of the first things I did. I don't have a 5.0 but I do believe that is possible, I've read about it somewhere.
@@AaronOffroad25 What are the codes or area to change the "Ford" load screen on the 12" screen to say "Ford Performance" screen? I finally grew a pair and disabled ASS. I watched this video a good amount of times.
Hey man, I keep getting a Secondary Boot load failure (I’m connected to internet) everytime I try and read the BCM and IPC. It let’s me go into one bcm and a few others but not the main (limited features). Been trying to change my headlight type on a 2013 focus (halogen > led) any idea how to bypass this error. Thanks
Great Video Very helpful thank you I have a 2018 ford F150 I did Bambi mode already then I went to enable global windows it did not work I changed BCM,DDM & PDM but it didn't work would you maybe have a idea what went wrong?
Hello, do you know how to disable the headlight switch from going into "Auto" all the time. I have 2021 Ford Explorer.any info would be appreciated, thanks.
I have the same obd link reader I have a single cab I did the full led headlight swap put all my changes in to make them work but after a month I had to update the forscan software once I did it some of my modules don’t show up any clue on what it could be to make them all show back up
Thanks for the video. I’m having trouble getting my 21 f150 to connect. The adapter is showing up but it is telling me “unable to connect to vehicle. Make sure ignition is on.” Any advice?
Did you install the software for the adapter onto the computer?? I had to do that with mine. I didn’t have the adapter he has but a similar one. Worked perfect after that
I had a question, I recently got my OBDLINK EX and when I first plugged it in, it scanned the Truck and created a profile, but I erased the profile because I wasn't able to open anything on forscan. So I am trying to create a new profile but it won't read my 2021 Ford F150 anymore. It just keeps saying unable to connect to vehicle, please make sure ignition is ON and try again. I have tried deleting and reinstalling forscan but still no progress, I am using a Dell XPS 9500 with windows 11, and connected through a USB c to USB A dongle. Any tips on getting forscan to read my truck and making a new profile? Thank in advance.
So I found the problem, for whatever reason when you have the OBDLINK ex plugged into your laptop directly it doesn't read it, so I attached it to a USB hub and it seems to be reading it now.
I'm sure there are. I try not to mess with the as built side as much bc its way more risky if ya know what I mean. Accidentaly put a wrong digit and it could mess something up. That's why saving to factory files is so important.
I have a 21 Platinum and the cargo bed lights quit working and interior lights keep flashing on/off. Started in December. Dealer replaced BCM thinking that was the fix and guess what? It wasn't. They have had it for weeks and can't figure it out. Any ideas to fix either of these issues? I'm not new to Ford trucks, but new to Ford trucks with issues! Lol. Appreciate any tips for either fix!
@ethananstine5624 unplug the battery for 5 minutes. If it doesn't fix your issue. Water intrusion? Sunroof leak? Check the footwells, headliner for water.
@@ethananstine5624 Yes. They went through 2 new BCMs (were on backorder) and had to run a re-program and the 2nd one worked. Fixed the bed lights not working, and fixed the interior lights flashing non-stop. Also, just a side note and un-related to the lights issues, open your fuse box and push down on all of the fuses....I found that 90% of them were not "clicked" in! I saw this tip on an F-150 forum. Good luck!
That cannot be done through Forscan. That function needs a hardware mod. Not sure if that is possible with a 21 or newer pickup, but it sure is with a 20 or older pickup, 12 or 13 gen.
@@AaronOffroad25 Use a Bluetooth OBDII dongle, such as the OBDLink MX+. But a laptop is far better, as you can sit in the truck and do your work, cycle the ignition, etc.

@@saltyhamslam7991 Well, it's not. I've since doubled my mileage and still can't even detect it. The only people who can are those running very loud aftermarket exhausts, and I've not heard of a single person with any issues related to it.
