this was one of the best things in basic. everyone was sick and stuffed up and shit and this cleared you right out. refreshing as fuck once it was over with
This is my 20 yr old son’s second week and he said they are about to do this. I get sad because he’s gone but I’m thankful that I raised my son to be the man he is. This was one his goals as a kid was to join the Army. Proud of you son you are always in my prayers God have you protected and you will make it through this…Mommy loves you
I have no idea who your son is but I'm proud of him too! There's no need to be sad though! The Army's gonna teach him a lot of valuable life lessons; will teach him common sense and will teach him how to be a man of honor. God, I wish I could be in his shoes right now. I really miss those days.
Welcome out, soldier. I wish I had the opportunity to go through. But because I have a heart murmur, and a broken pro-mask, I wasn’t allowed. I was excited for it.
The Gas Chamber takes only 1 minute for soldiers to wear a Gas masks and after 1 minute they would go outside and flap their arms for the Fresh Air during the ten weeks of training in the U.S. Army Boot Camps in Basic Training Combat
I remember in Basic Training we had to eat as fast as possible without choking. The drill sergeant would say something like "last private in line has 4 minutes to eat" or some shit. This resulted in the nastiest, smelliest, stinkiest, and most disgusting farts I remember in my life. We'd march in formation outside and that gas would not dissipate but would lay there stagnant for all us privates to march through as we're singing cadence. Or we would be doing PT in the barracks right after dinner and the bay would quickly fill with methane and hydrogen sulfide. That was worse than the CS.
Why do you flap your arms when you come out. Does that help to get your breath back? And good luck to all those shipp'in out soon. Much respect and thanks for your service in advance.
Yuck… I hated this part of basic training!!! I hated running and getting dirty, too… I was kind of a Private Benjamin type, lol… I graduated US Army Basic Combat Training from Ft Jackson, SC in 1985. I didn’t think that I would graduate but I did!!!
@@turtle19dad Wrong. You do the chamber once during basic but you also have to requalify every year. Quit giving advice to people who are about to serve when you never did.
I promise y’all it’s not bad. It sucks for sure but honestly it’s not bad. Your sinuses will never be clearer. Your face will burn a little a might burp a couple times. But just do as instructed and you’ll be good.
Myself 88 and back then there was actually the presence of CS Gas so thick you could barely see your hand in front off your face. Good Times though and wish I could go back.
I went through in 98 & remember being absolutely terrified before going through the chamber but over time I actually started to like it. I want to do it again.
I've taken harsher bong hits than the Army boot camp gas chamber put out. In fact, at least to me, boot camp itself was way easier than I expected. And I Joined up at age 17 back in 1975, when the drill SGT's were allowed to physically assault recruit fuck-ups when ever they felt like it! Luckily, I was already hard and nasty before I went in, so the drill SGT's saw no reason to fuck with me.
Calm down Lupoili you psycho. I did not observe any CS gas unless it's invisible. When I went through the White House at Ft. B, the CS Gas was a solid haze or London fog type scenario. Trainees were exiting the white house with snot coming out of their nostrils extending to the earth major league followed by a few privates running into trees, etc.
@@randyboisa6367,yet another keyboard tough guy. What's the matter? Having a bad day? Sorry, but you couldn't scare a crow. Plus, you're probably the one lying through your teeth.
