Lennox and Madison apartments (The green beans) probably the oldest low income apartments in Fort Lauderdale, I remember these apartments back in the 70's and they haven changed one bit
I remember them from when I started driving in '89. Me and some friends would just drive all over through all the neighborhoods. My buddy lives on 15th and Sunrise. My Dad was FLPD from '65-'90.
The number of people hanging out in the middle of the street like it's a living room, blows me away. I can't believe they don't have anything better to do.
@@claytonphillips85 I’ve been in different Florida hoods in my life, the one i remember most was Ft. Pierce. My boy moved to FL and i went down to visit. He wanted to go to some post club in Ft Pierce. We pulled up, there was about 50 dirty ass dudes standing outside, gold teeth, dirty shirts etc. My boy was like let’s go in, i said HELLLLLL NO and drove away. Wasn’t shit in there i wanted part of.
Wow, very eye-opening. I had no idea there were hoods like that in Fort Lauderdale. I and a friend lived there, back in the 80s, but just for one winter. We had big plans of living there forever. We thought it would be so much fun. What we found there were too many fake and phony people. I guess the proper word would be "shallow". Also, in the residential area where we lived, all the drivers ran the stop signs, but stopped at all the streets where there weren't any. 😅Anyway, thanks.
The most ironic thing about hoods in South Florida whether it’s Ft Lauderdale or Miami, is that the most genuine authentic people are in the hoods. All those people that live in the luxury apartments are full of shit, and most of them aren’t even from here. South Florida has become this shithole with transplants from everywhere bringing their yuppie gentrified mentalities and ideologies with them 🤮 Much love to the hood and all the real ones across the Tri-county 💪🏽💯
I'm from Brazil. I went to florida in 2022 to visit some friends,. I went exactly to this place 2:12, because one of my friends decided to buy a bed from a guy in the internet, and this guy lived in one of these houses... We went there at 10pm with a big ass van to pick up that bed. It was scary asf at night lol everybody was looking at us weird and asking too many questions. Soon as we got the bed in the van we was outta there quick lol
Charlie, as a foreign, and coming from a place like south america, I feel like what you guys call the “hood” is what it should be. People outside, kids having fun, friends gathering together… is what brings life to the city, I would prefer to live like that rather than living in a boring suburb where nobody goes out and the neighbor call the cops if you play loud music outside
Over 70 years ago we grew up dirt poor 😥 but we had respect for each other and the neighborhood, it never looked like this dump 😱 This generation is DOOMED 😠
Charlie , i know a good hood for you to walk that nobody has done yet that ive seen...next time youre in Dallas Tx, walk through Dennis rd. And Royal Ln., and Brockbank by the C Store. That hood is called Webb Chapel. Its like the Kensington Philladelphia of Texas. Lol
Wow I was on a family vacation last year in July I me and my wife and kids road threw there and my wife use to stay in fort Lauderdale and she definitely said that is the hood fort Lauderdale is great place to visit but you definitely will drive threw the hood to get to some places
All these young people standing around with way to much time on their hands, if they would go out an get a damn job,40hours a week with overtime, they would be to damn tired to stand around acting like a bunch of grade school kids, damn shame, smh
The other DALE. My original Dale is FERNDALE Michigan. The most Diverse hood of the Midwest. From gangsters to drag queens. To old ladies, veterans and all kinds of refugees, migrants and people of escape from another Country ill. The Fort on the outside physical seems the more WILD. But... it's truly not compared to the Michigan DALE which schooled Allen Griffin the Comerica Bank Shooter or Ming Ho the Subway killer or my other classmate who robbed the banktruck and got away and had a shootout at the Red Roof Inn. The DALE. The same DALE Eminem recorded every single one of his famous fake Detroit Albums. The Dale. His studios all three are still there now. On 9 mile too. Fashionable Gay Ferndale. Ya boi! hahahahah.
