Wanted to take the family to downtown Fort Worth tonight for the fireworks, but we'll be staying home. What a great time we're living in, where instead of celebrating our country, we have to be worried about being in places with large groups.

I think you're missing that this is likely some street/gang situation. I mean, they can be just as bad with not caring who they hit. But for someone to be shooting indiscriminately at a random location happens a lot less. It can happen anywhere though and that is close to home im sure.

@@Mid.night1000rrWe USED to have safe festivals, 4th of July events & city fireworks in my neighborhood for DECADES, until the neighborhood started to "change" around 2010 - now no festivals, 4th of July events or city fireworks - and I moved out.

@megg.6651 I'm from Memphis TN and we used to have an amazing Carnival every year. Until one certain demographic kept causing problems and the city quit having it.
They know the possibility of this happening. It's the thrill and excitement that attracts them to these events and they think they'll escape the carnage.

The death penalty needs to be used a lot more frequently. A Country is judged by how aggressive they are against crime. America is SOFT because of wokeness.
Exactly. While politicians get paid to be soft it creates higher crime then they can ask for fed funding. They then pass that money off the friends and sometimes family through grants.
