I think casuals are encouraged on forza whereas on gt they wouldn’t last a day before being booted down the standard ladder and into pointless lobbies. Forza is a fun racing game but it’s not a serious one.

I think Turn 10 should implement a system for their online races. It would help reduce races like this. The system would work like this: 1. Player selects Multiplayer option from the game menu 2. Forza loads a message that just says 'No' and kicks the player to the dashboard or back to Windows This would reduce the amount of bad races.

^ This. Forza is one of Microsoft's main exclusives and it's marketed as more of a casual racer anyway. So it's pulling players from across the skill/maturity spectrum. Buyers of GT Sport know that they're getting it for a more hardcore experience, and even if some Fortnite kiddo buys it, that hardcore gameplay will scare them off so they go play more Fortnite or one of Sony's many other more casual exclusives.

That is because GT sport is connected to the FIA and Forza is not. If you start ramming in GT sport you will be categorized as a rammer and will be kicked out or play with other rammers.

FAR WORSE! im a fan of both ps and xbox so im not a die hard ps fan boy in the slightest but you are completely wrong about p.s having more shitbags. i go in online lobbies racing and the only really annoying thing is when people just start doing donuts in the middle of the track messing up lap times. i never come across rammers or ramming like i see in forza! you are 100% in denial. forza players really are terrible for it! thats a fact! videos and live streams prove everything.

Turn 10's biggest mistake: Assuming that people will play their game the way they intended and do nothing about the people who don't. Its kind of pathetic that you'll see more competitive racing in a forza horizon online race.

14:56 This happened to me lots when I used to play Forza 6. Most likely when the kia punted you and lost control, it slid into an unsuspecting driver wizzing around the corner and slammed into the kia, throwing it back into you. The unsuspecting driver probably was that silver car shown at 15:07 which might have skidded off your screen during the crash. Hopefully Turn 10 finds a way to discurage kids from playing bumper cars in later games.

It's a shame really, the game looks great, sounds amazing, a plethora of cool cars, but then the netcode seems terrible and there are an endless amounts of tickets to the shadow realm handed out during an online race. Can't they implement some sort of safety rating and online driver rating system?

I have never been in a race on this game where I didn't get rammed. Not one. I love starting last and just navigate through the mahem into 2nd place then on the next turn some dimwit comes flying into me at 300Km/h durring a hairpin turn. I think they do it on purpose, there's no way they can be that bad. I just put the drivatars on pro and race offline. It's much funner.

As much as I hate this kind of racing, it was fun to watch. Really would like to see how Forza 7 would be, if it had a driver/safety rating system similar to Gran Turismo. It would not have to be super advanced, it should just sort lobbies into rammers / non-rammers as much as possible.

For that race at Prague, I believe you weren’t synced in with the rest of the drivers. My main reason for saying this is because of how far back you started. Whenever that happens to me others can’t see me on track and my car does little to no effect to others if we make contact.

How does this game still have such ridiculous glitches...? We've got the races still starting while you get a black screen (which has been there since release) and two others I've never even seen before... the weird start where you were behind the grid by about 200 ft, and then you get robbed of your podium finish despite clearly being in second... dammit Turn 10 I'm done with this farce, just kill off the Motorsport series if this is the level of pride you guys take in the development of it.

Forza isnt built for it really. The career is all about aggressively passing drivatars in a few laps and it carries into online lobbies. They don't give a shit about just ghosting rammers either.

I'm think Turn 10 use cheat mode for Lykan HyperSport when you choose maximum difficulty Unbeatable . Track Le Mans Mulsanne against 23 hypercars . Steve check this , only Bugatti Veyron Super Sport can beat Lykan HyperSport (impossible fast on track)

Forza seems to be less a game than a social experiment... like a special needs facility you can visit to socialise with the Residents. All the cars sound and go the same so that the Residents don't get triggered and track limits are driver-led. Fab.

Going back and watching some of these, I really hope that Forza Motorsport 2023 has some kind of reputation system in place so that clean racers race witch eachother and ramers can battle it out destruction derby style in their shadow realm. But I doubt it and in a way, this is just characteristic Forza really. People do this kind of stuff even in Horizon in races where we're supposted to be a team against a team of AI drivers and it's like... why, you gain nothing from pushing me off the track besides appearing like a goblin behind a wheel. So strange, but so Forza.

Just one piece of advice. If you want to race online properly, and I mean RACE, compete, seriously, not a race here and there, there is only one option. It is not cheap, but it is the only one: iracing.com I did the change in 2011, and never looked back. Now, I play Forza, GT and others, like AC or PC1 and 2, but almost never online.

Ghosting back markers, actually fixing ghosting all together would make this such a better game...that and making the game not lag to shit in the menu...and bring back hot laps...and correct leaderboards.

It's pretty damn remarkable that you've stuck with this game for so long despite all the BS you have to put up with, but you're getting lots of great results. Unless you outright quit or are experimenting with something unfamiliar, it's almost always an easy top 5. Some would say this game is beneath you, but thanks for sticking it out and continuing to show us what quality online play looks like. I could use more of that in my life right now.
