Comparing four of the biggest arcade racing games available on PS4 & Xbox One. Forza Horizon 3 (Xbox One, PC), DriveClub (PS4 exclusive), The Crew Wild Run (PS4, Xbox One, PC), and Need For Speed (PS4, Xbox One, PC). Driveclub is 30 fps and it sucks. racing games should be 60 fps. but i highly doubt you'd understand this if you haven't played racing game at 60 fps. generally speaking

Played almost every racing game ever from NFS III and GT1 to NFS Heat and FH4 - and still have not seen anything more beautiful and realistic, more close to life than DRIVECLUB. And can confirm as a driver - nothing else feels more life-like than Driveclub. Almost-life experience. Best Racing Game Ever.

not RLY NFS, it is just that simple: How a car is looking good? When it is wet. How a city looks the best? At night How the streets looking best? wet So thats why the car is alkways wet, the streets are always wet and why you only can play at night. So yeah of caurse the Textures are good looking, but only on this reason. Plus mistakes are harder to find when it is dark and wet ;)

I love how on a GRAPHICS/RAIN comparison, people are still trying to compare the overall game where it's not relevant. I play Forza, but still seeing myself returning to DriveClub to admire the rain. Visually, DriveClub is the best. That's it, no need to go into depth or off topic. (Here's from what I can tell) 1. DriveClub, for having the best rain effects (completely immersive), and visually stunning. 2. Forza, for looking visually stunning, but not having the same level of stunning rain effects like DriveClub 3. Need for Speed, for just looking overall stunning. But the downside is no cockpit view. 4. The Crew, close to Forza in terms of visuals, but not having an immersive cockpit rain like Forza or DriveClub. Still looks good, but not as beautiful as the others. That's it. No need for "FORZA HAS CUSTOMIZATION AND HUNDREDS OF CARS. DRIVECLUB IS 30FPS. Save that for the proper comparison." End of discussion.

the overall game is relevant bruh. the bigger the map, the denser the ai, the more varied the cars, the more resources it needs to run the game. with such a huge open world and roster of cars, forza still looks that good, thats way more impressive. in a linear scenario, anyone can make the game look good, its easy bcos its linear, not much resources are needed, but for a huge open and dynamic world, its impressive

Probably Forza fanboys First of 2, NFS 2015 is a game that shows what NFS really is, a beautiful game with underground racing that takes place at rainy nights. Ghost and Frostbite showed that perfectly. Second of 2, you guys need to know how long it takes to make these games. Ghost had litterly a few months to complete (correct me if I'm wrong) NFS rivals and maybe another game I'm pretty sure. You guys are just asking for too much in these games. You wanted a NFS underground 3, 👌, here you go. NFS 2015. But then everyone goes WTF IS THIS SHIT, THE STORY IS SHIT, THE TUNING IS SHIT, AND THE PHYSICS ARE SHIT. You can't change the weather like DC so that's why open world games doesn't have that eye blinding special effects.

Black_knee_grow Doesn’t need to be, they went for quick races, something you can go in and out on. Yeah, some people prefer open world gameplay, but I say what they did for Driveclub works well. Although it not being open world does make it less impressive, the graphics are still the best of the bunch.

Jose Bermudez Activision + EA buy their reviews and I bet more games do too. But racers have it the toughest on metacritic for years now. Shooters + Story mode games get easier ratings on metacritic but to see a racer get 91 this gen speaks volumes about how fantastic FH3 is. Plus I've played it and I can safely say it's the best racer ever. With sports games,shooters + story games you have to detract around 5 points to get the real rating of that game and with racers you have to add 5 to get to their real rating. I'd say FH3 deserves even more than 91. It's PERFECTION. It's as sim and as arcade as you want it to be, handling, sound, variety, map design, visuals, online everything is perfect.

The crew doesn't have horrible sound, the physics are ok, it's arcade. the graphics are pretty decent.....and it's an older game. The longivety of the game is also awesome. NFS has always been crap since the first underground game. NFS also has the worst sound of all these games yet you said it has good sound. I may be wrong but I think because forza is set in Australia, that place is like always crazy hot, so I would guess that, most of the time, even if it was raining it would be fairly bright. That's probably why it's like that lol, but I do agree it does look better in the rain in drive club.

well, you cant really compare drive club to forza for example. Because drive club is contained within the track and forza is an open sandbox game.. Offcourse there will be better graphics when you only have too render a little bit of environment, and focus on the cars and weather, unlike forze where there is alot more than just a car

Drive Club only beats the Xbox version of FH3. The console version have lower graphical settings because it is weaker, obviously. The graphics for FH3 in this video are on Xbox One. Watch the E3 gameplay to see the PC graphics.

theboomster10 Yes, i've seen plenty of PC gameplay. No doubt the game looks fantastic. But I still think Driveclub looks better from an aesthetics standpoint. I think the lighting and colour palate looks better, I think the weather effects are nicer. As it's always been, Forza shoots for bright and colourful. It's more eye-catching. Driveclub goes for more muted and realistic looking. It doesn't have anything to do with framerate, resolution, or sampling.
