Comparing Forza Horizon 3 & Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One. In this video we show the differences in terms of graphics, gameplay, sound, rain, cockpit view, damage, etc. In Forza Horizon 3 we equipped the Lamborghini with a Widebody Kit, to showcase FH3's improved customization. In my opinion, Forza Horizon 2's colours are slightly too saturated, even though the game still looks beautiful to this day. Forza Horizon 3 looks more realistic due to the new photogrammetry technology Playground Games have got.

Normally in FH3 when the time is noon there are really no shadows so it looks like the graphics were just turned down, but as it becomes morning, sunset, or night, the graphics like the shadows improve a lot.

They improved the graphics in FH3, and they used forza 6's rain, and for the lights they used half fh2 lighting and fm6 lighting. The sound of the Murcielago of both games has been recycled (In fh2 they recycled the murcielago's sound from forza 5 while in fh3 they recycled the murcielago's sound from fm6) it sounds okay in both games but they improved the exhaust sound in fh3

The maps are different, which makes them a different game. Totally different atmosphere. Both are nearly perfect games with perfect map.

Just bought an Xbox Elite bundle last month to play Horizon 2 & 3. Purposely waited to get them both around the same time. Both are great games. At times I prefer 2 over 3 but I will say the sense of speed in 3 seems better. Not that it's not there in 2 it just seems more of an adrenaline rush in 3. The early intro race with the Le Ferrari is a prime example. Take the 1500 Hp Koenigsegg Regera on some street races on the highway near Horizon Outback center and you'll get the full sense of speed rush!

FH 3 looks better at night time. They fixed the lighting on the street so you see were you're driving. But at daytime FH 2 looks better to me and the car sounds are also better

2 Looks better than any of them. H3 is good in places, other places it looks plain BAD. not sure what all the hype was about. Certain areas look great, but houses, other cars, and trees look shitty.

Dagevilight2 Driveclub is a really good game. The difference is that Forza has way more options and cars, but Driveclub has probably the best driving experience (in terms of fun). Just my opinion.

Still exploring both games and will be awhile until I am at completion with both but it's great to have both 2 & 3 to jump back and forth too! The original was great for it's time too. I was going back to the original right before I got an Xbox One and into 2 & 3.

Object pop-in and proximity detail change are more aparent now, even though it's below other similar games. FH2 had no noticeable pop-in and the atmosphere in the rain is superior imo. Not that FH3 isn't the most amazing open world racer that ever existed, because it is. Nothing similar comes even close.

Froza 3 has improved in many things from sounds to weather of the game the only thing I'd try to make more realistic is the car models I mean they're amazing no doubt however underneath a hot wheels car is more realistic they need to fix that in my opinion I noticed that at the end of the video that can be added showing the muffler things like that

Probably because you don't see it that often so that's why they looked plain underneath. No use putting strain on the hardware by adding more polygons and textures when you can't appreciate it.

I'm hoping the Forza series can make another jump in visuals when the Scorpio comes out. I thought Drive Club took the realism bar up a notch but the framerate and gameplay ruined it. Forza sacrifices some glitz to maintain the smooth 60fps which I agree is most important for racing games. I'm also ready for an upgrade to the audio. If you listen to any of these cars in real life they don't really sound right in the game. To artificial, especially the older V8's. My 69 Camaro sounds nothing like similar car types in the game.

Actually I see you are correct with that. I had read an article that was actually about the pc version. I am surprised because I own both Drive club and Forza, and Forza feels much smoother. Must not drop frames as much.

Joe Ebner It doesn't drop frames at all. It has variable render quality. It can adjust textures and such on the fly when needed. System probably does anything it needs to to prevent fps drops. Works really well. I usually can't stand 30fps, especially not on PC. But Horizon runs pretty well.

Yes, I have heard about the variable render quality. That is why I was hoping that they next version could ramp up the max level on graphics. That way it could take advantage of the new power on the Scorpio or a high end pc and still run good on the original xbox one and less powerful pc's.

I have an Xbox one S and I have Forza Horizon 3 but when ever I am in cockpit view and it's raining it doesn't have the effect where the wipers push away the water to the sides like in 3:11 you can see the water getting pushed away by the wipers but I'm not getting that effect in my game like what's going on

The only difference from 2 and 3, is that they were driving in the USA in 2, and in 3 they are driving in some other better country. You can tell by the quality of the roads.

to be honest forza horizon 3 is only better in rain dealing with ggraphics and sound than forza horizon 2, thats why id rather have forza horizon 2 than 3
