Forza Horizon 5 - They Tried to Nerf the Alfa Romeo 155 DTM (A-Class)

The fastest S1-Class all-rounder from FH4 got heavily nerfed in its return to Forza Horizon 5. Now it is a A-Class car. Despite the nerfs, it is currently one of the strongest A-Class car! The Alfa Romeo 155 is now available as part of Series 24 update.

Alfa Romeo 155 DTM Kit A-Class performance review:
It was strong in FH4, it is still very strong in FH5 despite the nerfs. Just that it is no longer usable in S1-Class. One major nerfs is the car's overall top speed making it no longer have the insane top speed from FH4.
However the car still retains its very strong acceleration and handling. One of the best handling for an all-rounder actually. Like in FH4, the only downside of the car is its weak brakes and unstable braking. Top speed is on the low side but for road playlists, it is good enough.

tl;dr on nerfs into FH5 The Vintage race tires got removed, making the 155 no longer viable for S1-Class. It is more suited for A-Class. Top speed got significantly reduced as it no longer has the same low drag coefficient as in FH4. However the nerfs are justified, especially the top speed nerf as the 155 DTM is currently one of the strongest A-Class car for Road playlists

I tried racing it on S1 and yeah, it was not as good as I expected, first because I probably messed up the tune I had on it, and second because people were using the Anniversary Edition Viper to race, which is basically the new meta

@@kexcz8276at the records since FH1, it appears if you're certain percent of world records, for example the first time you records are usually 50%, low percent means more the top. Mine in FH5 are usually around 40% and 30% since ita getting harder and harder to breake records and even reach 20%, my lowest percentage was 24% in FH4 You can low the percent by breaking speedzone, radar, jumps and trailblazer records. 1% is literaly that, the most top of the world records.

If you want to see it shine try it out in a800 dirt trails. The excelleration and handling I got on mine is ridiculous. Seems most of the new old favorites were designed in this game for rally.

The rollcage in the 155 significantly helps it's cornering ability. As by default the Front-Rear weight distribution sits at a really high 57%, the cage helps equalize the weight transfer so their isnt so much weight sent to the front wheels. While there are stronger competitors for S1, the 155 remains my favorite car in the game. I've done extensive testing and can confirm it's still a force to be reckoned with especially in A-Class.

Glad at least one Alfa will be good, tried it in S (since in FH4 it was kinda good there), but I quickly noticed that it will have better potencial in A. Also tried to make the Z2 working with copied FH4 tune with no success (there it was UNBEATEABLE). I will gladly download your tune, I just hope you had put decent looking wheels onto it, since the defaults are pretty sht looking...

i'd say around 90% of the player base drop a V6 in it.. and not many drop the 4.7L V8 into the 155, props to you sir! tldr the V8 gives better cornering grip compared to the V6 engines even with the best possible grip tune when the V6 is dropped in.

@@brawler5760I think less powerful, I don't know the details of the V6's swaps to the 155, but the race car 155 V6 TI had an alloy V6 5.5L (max permited if its an NA engine) with 4WD to take control at cornering

They need to buff the s4 Delta's stock engine for s1, it won't get to the top of the class, granted it's fast as hell maxed in s1, it just isn't able to go any further than 860 without the front tire upgrade. When it has a front tire upgrade it goes to 890

I think moving forward they should lock down online races to specific types of cars like the weekly trials do, it's much more fun that way instead of using the same 5-10 cars for an entire game cycle because they're meta. They should also add one-make races where you're allowed to modify a car up to a certain class, but everyone is using the same base car, like a Miata.

I know that using powerbuilds is hard and you should keep using them in rivals mode to get better at it, but I don't get people who are not yet fully capable of handling a powerbuild car but pick it anyway only to miss brake zones and run into others...

Because hoeizon, believe it or not, is place to chill and have fun. Yes, its AWESOME to have close calls, tight races and so on, but at the end of a day, people like to just have fun. So someone tries the powerbuilds and thats it. With competetive playlist and mode missing, you can't be surprised man ;)

4.7l V8 from Alfa Romeo 8C. The 3.5l V8 from Ferrari 355 works decently too. Original engine is an inline 4.

For dirt tunes, I typically download known dirt tuners. GreetedDust8 has a Lancia Delta dirt tune for B-Class.

And the Stratos, you can try C0RVETTE GS for A class road, KapienPL for A class dirt, LogikJ for B class road and NoObStEr9919 for B class dirt. These should all be good 👍

Does the pointy front wing give you more turn in than the flatter one? It says it doesnt increase lateral Gs but it drastically changes the shape of the car so maybe less drag idk

They are the same part performance wise. Visual effects won't affect drag unless its stated. Example there are some hoods in game which adds rally fog lights that magically reduce weight over stock.
