All of them but top two are Rennsport and Forza Motorsport, because I expect them both to be DISRUPTIVE BIG games/ sims. Indycar is interesting because it's the first of a series and I'm curious to see how the Indy series is going to start. TT Isle of man is interesting because motorbike games are unfairly underrated. Test Drive Unlimited is interesting because we don't have something like Microsoft Flight Sim where you drive real cars in real maps (but I doubt it's gonna be another crappy arcade Forza Horison). WRC 23 is interesting because it's gonna be a good game (like a DR 3.0). F 123 is interesting because it's another F1 game, which is OK/ good.
@@stevenwarrior4722 The official FormulaE is part of rFactor2 sim. Get rFactor2 simulator and purchace the FormulaE DLC. They're not expensive at all and the driving is second to non (the most realistic feel).
Indy Car game will probably be awful considering motorsport games previous entries. I would be extremely excited if it was good though. I am not entirely convinced we will receive a test drive unlimited game next year considering that they have released 0 gameplay at this point. If we do, I expect it to be unfinished. I am extremely interested in forza though, as it has been in development forever and the Rennsport title could be interesting. A free to play model is a pretty bold approach and it will need to be of extreme quality if they want to compete with the other sims.
@@megawave79 Please elaborate. I am not going to straight up accuse you of being wrong or attack you for your opinion or whatever but do you know about motorsport games history? If not, do a little research about it before making a decision on pre-ordering indy car or not, it might save you some money.
@@BarryJowers I was always skeptical of nascar 21 so I didn't pre order it. After launch and all the terrible reviews I just hoped that they would attempt to fix some of the major bugs. They instead decided to release more DLC giving extra car schemes. I ended up buying it for like 5 dollars on a key sellers sight for a laugh, it was about as rough as everyone said.
I'm going to be blunt, the IndyCar situation is actually horrifying when you really break it down. Because honestly, It was really cool seeing like the past five to 10 years where basically most exclusivity had gone away. So we were starting to see cars on various different games and titles. Almost no one in the iRacing community wanted exclusivity rights. And I personally would still fight against them. It's annoying because we were just doing our thing. I personally love doing the IndyCar 500 in iRacing because I'm from Indianapolis. It was the best community experience I've ever had. Even if a few of them threatened me because I wanted dynamic weather.... Regardless, I still thought that community was really great and very tight-knit. That is why I feel like as a sim racer in general that game needs to be boycotted. We know in IndyCar console game can do well. It's not a matter of proving that it can. At this point it's a matter of principal. Even in the hands of monster games with iracing, It could probably do amazing. While also opening up the license to other titles like AMS2 or R3E to do their own IndyCar series. At this point it's really more about the platform you want to be on, and watching them actually compete. Because regardless, if a console game has exclusive rights to a series, that isn't competition. That's a monopoly. So anyone supporting this console game is supporting monopolization. Straight up.
@@PWR_Jesper88Ros Having worked in online gaming, being on the other side of the fence as it were having an exclusive license with a big developer. All sides eventually lose out, the license holder, the dev, the competitor then the community itself. It was amazing to be a part of something like that whilst it lasted!
Same here, those two really stick out the most and could be super promising. The others, just not feeling it, especially F1 23, since the last two have been super bad with glitches and issues
With F1, I guess you could call reception of F1 Life mixed (if you consider that it was largely indifferent or negative, with a tiny bit of positive). I like the idea of it if done right. It's just more customization (I will never complain about having more of that) but they made it a huge deal. Big enough that they clearly used valuable time and resources that should have been put towards the actual gameplay, engine upgrades and other necessary features.
Let’s just be honest, F1Life was an absolutely unnecessary feature in the game. Anything that largely distracts from the main point of the game is useless and especially when it’s obviously being used to promote micro transactions.
I genuinely can not wait for TDU. It was my first ever game I fell in love with and what got me into gaming. ( well when we was that broke I had to go my friends and play it )
I had no idea they were making another one. I personally never played it but I always wanted it and I would enviously watch youtuber’s play through of it… the new setting looks incredible, I hope they keep the “personal” aspects of it with buying properties and car dealerships and whatnot.
@@Fetidaf I didn't have the luxury of RU-vid when that game was out 😂. Ive got a series x and a wheel waiting for this game. I even bought a 360 a few months ago and tdu 2 just so I could play it at the ripe old age of 33. They've said they're keeping it original so I hope they stick to their word. One good thing is they pushed the game back and only releasing it on new gen consoles so that to me sounds like great news. I hope you get to play mate.
My most anticipated game of the decade(along with GTA 6). But yes, couldn’t agree more. TDU1 was the first game I had well over 1000 hours in. I found every single piece of road on Oahu island, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The most satisfying driving game there has been yet imo, and the most revolutionary. Cannot wait for TDUSC
I genuinely can not wait for test drive unlimited, i spent so many hours on tdu2 on ps3, and the level of detail on this game was soooo far ahead that I’m still seeing feature coming to 2023 games and some features that still have yet to come out
Codemasters, owned by EA. Codemasters, who repackage the same F1 game every year, and remove features and gameplay elements. The only reason they add new tracks is because they have to. Be prepared to be disappointed
@matt a I was waiting for a comment like this. Anything is better than the hot garbage we've gotten every year. You can't complain about what u have and then complain when someone else takes a shot. Codemasters that gave us dirt rally and dirt rally 2.0? I'd say there's a big difference in the way they handle offroad racing and the FIA
@Rastargaryen have you NOT played the dirt series??? Jesus. It's the best rally game in the last 10 years. So I don't even know what ground you have to stand on when current WRC Is TERRIBLE. "Yeah no" LOL. leave the game the way it is now? "YEAH NO"
Forza, TDU:SC and WRC 23 are the big 3 games I'm really looking forward to playing when they drop Gonna need to get an expansion card for my Xbox tho so I can actually store them all hahw
Surprised to see that they’re coming out with a new Isle of Man TT game. I have a hard time seeing many jumping aboard for a third time after the developer’s hit n’ run tactics with the previous two titles.
I think Rennsport needs more attention, Forza I think will shock some people because Turn 10 and others are finally taking things seriously and heard their garbage feedback
@@FellianTheDragon yeah there's no screenshots or anything other than rf2 add-ons featuring BTCC cars. Apparently they are doing RF2 BTCC competitions at all BTCC rounds next year, and guessing using that to get feedback
I'm boycotting the Indycar game solely because of what Motorsport Games did to acquire it. People might not think it's so bad, but as an Esports commentator, it's actually closed a whole line of potential business on iRacing for me, since we can't broadcast anything regarding the Indycar anymore.
I've been waiting on a touring car game for years! Back when the first 2 btcc games came out on ps1. They gotta add in the 90s super touring cars though lol which 80s, 2000s etc be amazing
I wish Codemasters would bring back the V8 Supercar games like the F1 games, every Aussie tracks and old gen and the newest gen cars implemented into it would be my new favourite game
I absolutely agree. V8 Supercars is the one thing missing from sim racing. It's hugely disappointing that not one developer has taken putting V8 Supercars back on the map. Now that I would be excited about.
@@AverageGameReviews yeah I’m down under so I’m 9 hours into 2023 already 😅 but Happy New Years to you as well, it’s actually the first time I’ve seen your channel so I hope to see you around more often next year.
I’ve got my eyes on Indycar, WRC23, Forza and Solar Crown! I’m not buying F1 23 I’ll miss out on the game unless they have a new game engine and come up with a new way to play My team and Career mode because the F1 gameplay hasn’t changed since F1 2016 with only a few exceptions!
I really don’t care how you will take what I’m about to tell you. Hi, my dad works at Slightly Mad Studios as the head of art. They are responsible for Project Cars series. My dad has told me after I complained about barrier physics, that codemasters and his studio are working on brand new tech pro barrier physics. Believe me or not expect to see major improvements soon.
Excellent video ... as a racing freak from way back, this looks to be a banner year. Thanks much for your work to keep us informed ... consider me a new sub and have a great new year!! Cheers ...
Motorsports games has yet to deliver on any promise they've made... I would be very surprised if the Indycar game comes out at all... if it does, it'll be a nightmare.
@@AverageGameReviews with respect, how is Indycar looking good? All we've seen are WIP screenshots from 7 months ago which are clearly RF2 screenshots.
@@AndrewPeddie because he doesn’t know. He hasn’t done any research on Motorsport Games and we’re the ones warning consumer to stay away from the company because of their horrendous reputation
I’m more than likely to get most of these games, more persificly: WRC 23 F1 2023 Forza Motorsport Indy car mainly to give it a chance to see if it’s better than NASCAR 21 ignition Rennsport if it comes to console as well as PC.
It's EA and codemasters. Expect F1 23 to have more of their brilliant F1 life, right along with a lot more micro transactions now that codemasters has been under EA for a full development cycle.
Honestly, the damage on the new FM title looks like the damage from the previous 2-3 games. The fiasco that was FM7 means I’ll wait until the new FM is offered at a discount.
Will F123 Change to fully next gen? If they do they’ll probably have to change the engine (unreal engine 5) which will make the graphics way better than it currently is but the bad thing is that I cant play it cause I’m still on Xbox One. I know I’m a poor fellow 😂
We are yet to find out! EA would definitely prefer to keep it on both - would allow for many more sales. However who knows what goes on behind the scenes with Sony and Microsoft with these developers! My guess would be both generations as it's a very big series and money maker. However it's not out of the question they go next gen only.
Besides V8 Supercars not being brought back, the other glaring omission is no BTCC or WTCC games. I don't understand why none of these three series has been brought back. Any one of them would be a fantastic and much needed addition, in my opinion.
@Francis Is that to do with licensing? I'm talking about the years between 1990-1996 so those cars are ancient now in terms of car technology. I don't even see why that would be a high cost or a difficult thing to do, but then I don't have the knowledge of how it all works. Or does the cost come in the actual development of the game?
@@nattyhead5988 Just the cost of making games in general, in the PlayStation 2 era for example there were far more niche games available (not just in racing) but also other smaller sports such as snooker.
I really hope that WRC2023 ( new DiRT ), uses the video of WRC Generations, the best stages from DiRT, the physics from DiRT 2.0, they can make a really interesting game.
Im assuming that the official Indy Car title being released has something to do with iRacing and its current dilemma. F1 23, I actually done with F1. The more of the same thing year in, year out.
Let's wait and see if it does the series justice...in my eyes it's Motorsport Games' last chance to deliver. There's so much potential for a great game here.
A racing game with Indycar? That would be cool but considering what NASCAR 21 Ignition was like, I have doubts. I know the game came out a buggy mess so I would hope this Indycar game doesn't suffer from the same thing as NASCAR 21 Ignition
I'm hoping the IndyCar game is good it's been far too long since we've had one. But I'm not fully convinced by Motorsport Games yet after Nascar Ignition 21 and the drama with the board and all that.
We can only hope they will pull something out of the bag this time. A huge opportunity for redemption but equally a chance to put the final nail in the coffin.
Considering how massively everyone hates Motorsports games right now for what they did to IndyCar: they literally have to pull a miracle out of their butt.
...EA...R.I.P. F1 and WRC... I am glad I did buy WRC Generations, the current physics are brilliant with Controller and Wheel. I am looking forward to Forza Motorsport, played a lot the new Gran Turismo before on PS5. I believe Forza will do a better Job in tuning, settings and league racing. I also expect more tracks and cars with Forza, my Fanatec DD Pro Premium is ready with the McLaren XBOX Wheel 🏁🎮😎✌️ I am also excited about the new Isle of man game, they made a huge progress from the first to the second game, let's see if they give us another great improvement again.
@@michaelschneider1365 No, they are not. The only thing you've heard about iRacing and Indy Car is iRacing's license expiring and not being allowed to renew it as Motorsport Games has the exclusive license. As trash as their NASCAR game was, I have absolutely zero expectations for their Indy Car...if it even gets made as much money as Motorsport Games has lost.
As much as I hate EA, I am genuinely excited to see what Codemasters will do with WRC23. Given that Codmasters created the DIRT series (which are some of, if not, the best rally games ever), I think WRC23 is in safe hands.
@@ScholliUlz Well, yeah. That is a great one too. But that one is a bit too much sim for my liking. The Dirt series is a nice mix of simulation and arcade racing.
Hi love ur reviews which is why I subbed to u could u do a review on middle earth both games. I have ps extra and it’s on there so I was wondering if I would enjoy them or not
I’m excited for code masters coming into the WRC series but I’d rather get a dirt rally 3.0 or something along those lines to me Dirt rally has just been the better game all around but I’m hoping code masters entry will mix the two rather well
Rennsport looks like another Project CARS mod like Automobilista 2 is. Looking foward to WRC 23, I just hope EA doesn't put their dirty hands on the game. If you know what I mean.
i really hope that they don't screw up on indycar ... i'm really interested in it! and by the way: are you an average game reviewer, or do you only review average games? 🙃
I would like to know everything about OFF-line mode, singleplayer campaign, and singleplayer custom races,.. in all the games, that is the most important thing in all racing games, and essential for if I will buy them or not
Yes, I nearly included it in this video however we know such little about it that I didn't. It's rather suspicious to know such little about a game that would supposedly launch within the next 12 months!! (Would be developed by Motorsport Games)
Planning one right now! I made one last year with NFS heat, TC2 and FH5 - So I plan to replace heat with unbound. Any other thoughts/things that should be included - maybe comparison points?
f1 23, WRC 23 and Forza Motorsports 8 are unmissible for me. By the way most probably we'll see the continuation of F1 Manager 2022 in 2023, i'd be up for it as well.
