@@spectral-tech5699 I just want to use this for a TV/Headset via optical. Is there a way for me to plug this into the wall for power? I assume I use the included USB cable > connect it to a phone power adapter then plug into any power outlet?

Yes but you should have compare it with the fx audio dac x6, these are the alternatives in that price range. But aside that, you feel that your music quality has improved compared to the motherboard?

Nice video Question... if I used the USB audio out from the DAC to my iPhone with a USB to lightening adapter would it work? Could I stream music to it? Thanks

It might not recognize the device as an audio device, and I have a Pixel 2XL, so I don't have the equipment to test that particular scenario, however, for about $7 more, there is a the Q5-Pro which includes Bluetooth so you wouldn't have to worry about a cable or an lightning to USB adapter.

I have the older version of this with both a 3.5 and 1/4 jack on it. Both jacks suffer from that loose connection issue. The 1/4 inch isn't as bad but I feel like I may need to replace it sooner or later. I have tried various adapters and cables for my ath-ad700x. Other than that the thing has been great. Just leaving this here for other people. ~Side edit note thing~ I use this for gaming with hesuvi for binaural audio.

I have older version too, don't have problems with jacks yet, but I want to know is it problem in the jack itself or loose soldering joints on pcb?

This or Q4 for better sound quality? What's the major difference? I was looking Q4 because powered by pc USB instead of charger :S

I'm using the Q4, myself. I'm pretty sure the audio quality between these two is, more or less, the same. The Q5 gives more power, but lacks the Bass and Treble adjustments the Q4 gives.

@@VisibleEnd If you want to be able to control bass and treble on the fly, go for the 4. If you don't care about that, or plan to use software to do that, get the 5.
