Hi Jake, Firstly a big fan, love the vlogs. I am a First Nations Ambassador and have worked in Indigenous archaeology and First Nations cultural affairs. Finding ancient Indigenous artefacts is a unique exciting feeling when your first find an artefact. May I suggest that you guy's respectfully donate these artefacts to a Native American Museum in your region where you found them, so they can educate the communities, school students etc... Just putting it out there!! You will be blessed and respected by First Nations communities for doing such a noble cultural deed!

Hey Jake! Big fan, love watching your videos. Just had to comment on the artifacts, as I studied archaeology and hold a degree in anthropology. I’m sure you checked out the laws in your area, but I recommend you recheck them to protect yourself and your crew. The laws on Native American artifacts can be pretty strict. Even if it’s legal where you’re digging, it’s frowned upon to keep these historically significant finds. They can offer the world great information about the people who went before us. Pretty sensitive area, as I’m sure you’ve learned. “Under the phalanx of state, federal, and tribal laws, it may be a felony not only to buy and sell some manmade artifacts, but also to remove them from the bottoms of creek beds or dig them from the dirt.” I just want you guys to be safe. Also, the pieces you’re finding were left there because they were no longer of use to the person who made and carried it! They kept their intact tools because they still had value. As archaeologists, when we dig for artifacts, we know we will be finding their “trash,” because those were the only things they didn’t need or care about. So, even if the pieces are “heartbreakers,” it doesn’t mean they aren’t valuable! They can still say so much about the craftsman. Where there are a lot of artifacts together, you can assume this is where they lived, at least for a while. You’re finding their base camp with the trash left behind. When one finds an intact arrowhead or spear point, it’s usually because it was shot at an animal and lost, or it was dropped as the hunter hunted. You’ll rarely find those in numbers, as they wouldn’t have left those behind. Hope you accept the earlier part of my message in the manner in which I wrote it, which was with respect, concern, and caring. No judgement. Blessings on all your crew, and many many happy and safe adventures in the future!!

@@andyantrut3131 the site is compromised. By digging like this they're not following archeological procedure. So there's no evidence of the soil depth, soil type, and all the other info the scientists record. They're also potentially harming other artifacts since they're basically raking the soil.
