He sounds like those game characters in a horror game. "It's a phone, dead of course", "The main room, but it's locked, mabye there is another entrance somewhere, let's keep looking "
Astoundingly well preserved. This is a literal time capsule. All that NOS equipment sealed, all the period technology and even papers left standing like a photograph from yesterday. How is everything still so clean? And there's even power...just amazing. It's funny that it ended up being from the 90's - it looks more like the 70's to American eyes. Thank you for documenting this place...the history is alive thanks to you!
So fun fact the blue car Shiey found is called an SMZ Cyclecar, it was made for disabled people, hence the "pedals" on the wheel. I think they're quite rare especially the earlier models since you had to turn them in for a new one every 5 years, and they weren't for sale to the public, only disabled people could lease them.
Wow..what an exciting tour, and your narrative was perfect....you got in..respectably played around ... there was a lot to look at in the bunker... What a wonderful prize to have handed down in the family...some one is very fortunate..as I assume..some one owns it..property is always in some ones name..uncover that and asking to talk about it would be simply spectacular.. There are alot of exploration videos out now...but no one ever seems to track down an owner and ask for an open interview...maybe they would be willing to walk you through and share the history.. Soon all that information will be lost forever if its not already... Your videos stimulate a lot of questions in my head.. Great video , thank you 😊
I love the way 95% of youtubers would spend the majority of the video talking about how scary it was and ghosts and stuff, but shiey just chills and talks about Chernobyl
I was thinking the opposite actually. Touching and moving each and every knob on panels. Stepping in each car in order to click and move everything, however delicate it could be.
as a person who appreciates soviet cars i wanted to fill in some details for those curious, -1:46 "i dont even know what brand this is" - it was definitely a GAZ pobeda not sure if it was the Gaz M72 "Pobeda" or GAZ M20 "Improved Pobeda" though -1:58 "are these supposed to be the pedals? looks kinda cool" - it was an SMZ-S3D - these were developed by the soviet government for disabled people and they were issued to disabled people free of charge (typically war veterans with missing legs) it had 10hp and could go 70kph -7:43 "Chaika" - Gaz made 2 different cars called the Chaika and both were executive limos the one seen is the M13 chaika, later there was a boxier m14 that later went on to inspire the ZIL limos,
Meanwhile "Regular" people in the soviet union were waiting as long as 3 years for their VAZ 2105 to arrive, it was the only time in history when a used car cost several times what a new car cost,
Your narration of the exploration is so well done, it's as good if not better than the writing for many games, even surpasing most of the dialogue from Fallout and Metro
Somewhere in a central command office in Moscow a light is blinking and a technician is sipping his tea thinking... rats chewing the wire.. check it tomorrow. 😂😂😂
This shit y'all have is incredible. Thanks for sharing. I have always been too paranoid to record my adventures because of potential charges. This looks so fun !
its a clickbait title. he didnt "find" this place as if its been lost and unknown. its a well documented and still maintained bunker.

This Bunker is located in my country, Latvia. Thank you for not disclosing the exact location of it so no one vandalizes it. If anyone is interested in seeing one of these legally and in a maintained state google - Soviet bunker Ligatne. The bunker there still has all the soviet paraphernalia required to survive a nuclear apocalypse - busts of Lenin, propaganda posters, hammers and sickles and angry Lady serving food from a large pot.
Scary flying solo and turning off lights leaving lol by far my favorite bunker exploration of yours though. Absolutely incredible! 👍 👌 I revisit this video atleast once a year now. I love it!
1:59 this car is a part of a Soviet program. They built cars with hand pedals for WW2 veterans who had missing legs. They used lawn mower engines and were very slow.
I've literally just found your channel, and all I have done today is binged watch all your videos from old to new great videos watching from England 🇬🇧
Imagine if Shiey never recorded these experiences. Lost adventures, for no one to see, that would be sad. I’m grateful for the effort he puts into these videos. He really inspires me to wanna do this kind of thing.
I think you should see it differently. I love Shiey's videos, I really do. But recorded or not, it's not a lost adventure. It's his. His willingness to share it with us is great, but other than that he wouldn't have to do it to become an adventure. People nowadays wanna record everything to keep memory of it and it can get kinda annoying especially at festivals and concerts. But the memory is still in you heart. Keep your memories in your heart, not on a chip. (Well, most of them ;)
@@Phaileen001 THIS!! You said it about as real as you can. Most of us don't do stuff in life for the clout. Most do it to live and enjoy the experience themselves. This cat was kind enough to take us along for the ride and I for one could see myself kicking with someone with his demeanor. He reminds me of my tribe.
You've inspired me to hunt for a crashed military airplane in my area. I did the first scouting mission last night, and slept in the desert with incredible views. It ended up being too remote/dangerous for my current equipment, but I'm looking forward to going back more prepared!
Shiey pushes button in old abandoned bunker* Russian soldier reading newspaper in new nuclear bunker 1000 miles away hears an automated announcement from the computer “nuclear missiles will launch in 10 minutes!”
shiey: presses all the communication buttons. Russian Man on the other side of the line that hasn't heard anything from that bunker in decades: GUYS, GUYS! I HEAR SOMETHING COMING FROM THE RADIO! what they hear: "nice"
I could be mistaken but those extra levers on steering wheel were made for war time para palegics (if anyone knows for sure please let me know). That was like a super early version of what now comes standard on most vehicles. Truly ahead of its time. That’s automobile history right there. Hell this whole video is just glimpse into the past. Amazing!!!!
Hi I came by a famous RU-vidr in Brazil and he records video entering abandoned places and he also has several other types of entertainment, his RU-vid channel and Renato Garcia
I’m amazed to see the inside of one that large, my great aunt had a 1,000 sq.ft bunker in their basement. Built in the 50’s but still so cool, her daughter lives there now
These places are literally time capsules. This is like an unconventional virtual museum channel. This man appreciates nothing more than the history in these. Hopefully future explorers will show the same respect.
he probably takes some cool finds home too and doesn't film that. who wouldn't if he's the first in, it's not unlikely there are treasures. jewelry cash, or art. who knows
I think you'll see more of that in the future. Electrification seems to be shaking things up, particularly in personal transportation. @@sebastianvazquez2242
OMG! Those cars are fkn SICK! I just stumbled on your channel a few days ago. You ROCK! Be safe. You'll probably hear from me soon. Take care, be safe and peace out Yo
@@djsevic6509 He deeply upset me by constantly and almost violently jamming and yanking buttons. He exhibited a great deal of respect until that point. I lost a slight bit of respect for him myself. He was exceedingly considerate of the need for preservation of details of the location and very respectful of the pseudo-sanctity of that place. Him sitting at the desk was respectful. I do so wish he would be more gentle with the equipment in the electronics rooms and vehicles. We must treasure these places and he does a phenomenal job demonstrating by example but perhaps his youth causes him to respond impulsively sometimes. This video earned him my subscription, I hope he becomes more reserved and tempers his impulsivity in future videos.
@@jenevivelancia3012 Bro, that bunker is private property. The owners literally use it for storage and, as you can see, don t have problems with pushing shit around and throwing away the garbage. At the end of the day this isn t a muzeum...
@Andrew Petropoulos The right one will come to you. Or vice versa. Or actually come together right in the middle like magic. Only if you thought like I did...... WOO!
Izzet Araboga _ ... the panel that he was switching is a public address system for making announcements around the complex. That style was very common in the 50s / 60s even in the USA.
I came for Renato Garcia, our favorite RU-vidr in Brazil, we are a big fan of his. Congratulations on the channel and content, we love videos like this 🇧🇷👏🏻🔥
Also not 100% sure but the black and grey “weird phone” as you called it was only used as direct line to the commanders or top personnel in charge. Essentially that was the phone that was never left in-manned and the one you never wanted to ring. Once again could be wrong. Saw something very similar in another modern marvel video. This whole damn place is one big time capsule. Hopefully left just like it is for future generation explorers ya know….
I love how even in this insane situation, he’s still able to contextualize being in that firetruck as a responder to Chernobyl. I’d be too freaked out to think of some bigger picture, intellectual shit like holy fuck hahaha. Awesome.
A few corrections and pointing outs: The car you don't know brand of is GAZ M20 Pobeda The SMZ had pedals on the steering wheel because it was a car for disabled people The "Lada" was GAZ 24 Volga The Chaika felt like a limo because it was a limo used by Soviet chairmen and high ranks The BTR is BRDM 2, which is a light scouting vehicle, while BTR is a troop carrier
The correct term is people who are differently able. Or people who have a disability. Calling someone, ‘disable people’ is highly offensive. Please use correct terms and inclusive language when referring to people who are differently abled in the future.
@340bärgarN I care because I advocate. 'If non-disabled people are normal, then that means that disabled people are abnormal. Yet disability is the norm for some people. It is alienating and marginalizing to classify someone as “abnormal.” Calling someone handicap or a disabled person is not being inclusive and everyone has the right to be included within the community without bigotry terms. I will always fight for inclusiveness and I don't give a crap who says otherwise! 'The word handicap or handicapped is viewed as having a negative connotation - an implication that people with disabilities are disadvantaged in society. That social disadvantage is something we should fight against, rather than merely accept and enshrine in language.'
This bunker could be a very popular historic museum....Hope the owner see my comments. This thing would bring massive amount of history enthousiasts if it was transformed into a window looking into the cold war.
You forgot the next steps comrad. Then the power goes out and your flashlight,.... slowly dies away leaving you stranded alone in the darkness,....forever....... enjoy the pitch black maze....
@@militaryhistory4727 that's what I was about to comment lol. The asbestos green filters would kill you in a similar way as cigarettes, but by slicing up the insides of your lungs.
