This is one of my favorite series on the entire internet. At 41, my skin continues to remain "crazy combo" (I guess no one is ever too old for some classic gnarly acne breakouts) and I have been on what seems like an endless search for the perfect foundation for my slowly maturing face. I appreciate that you test foundations with and without primer, as well as experimenting with different primers to see how well it works with foundation formulas. It would be awesome if you could list your favorite foundations out and how thy tend to wear best: with or without primer, if it needs any powder, etc. Thank you for your no-nonsense approach to product research for us types that need pragmatic reviews instead of pushing thousands of unnecessary (and often severely expensive) "miracle/FOMO" products on your audience like most "gurus" tend to do. You totally rock the casbah, Angie!

Thank you for such in-depth comparisons. I’ve used Clinique for years although I’ve tried other brands I always go back to Clinique. I’m 63 and had no wrinkles till chemo dried out my super oily skin but I still get compliments. Genetics play a large part, too. I appreciate you.

Sorry about your cancer and chemo. I had oily, youthful looking skin until menopause hit. I now use many of Peter Thomas Roth products and see an improvement with my skintone, fine lines and age/sun spots. I'm also 63. Angie can't preach enough ( and many of us ) about sunscreen usage. By the way, I hope you are feeling better.

Definitely not pore blurring. Thanks for the review! On the other hand I received part of my Sephora order & I'm in love with all the products that I purchased! Lancome Idole mascara, BB The Leveler, Hourglass Veil eye primer & the Tarte tartelette eyeshadow palette...one gorgeous eyeshadow palette! Also picked up awhile ago the Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse & a St. Tropez mitt... this stuff is awesome, best self tanner I've ever used! You never steer us wrong. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Angie, I picked up this skin tint when I was at Sephora and put it on right away to go out to dinner. I had a Covergirl powder in my purse and put a little over it. It looked so pretty! I’m 58 and I have dry skin.

I am same age and skin type as you Angie and follow your am and pm skin routines. I bought this foundation but I bought it with Fenty primer in the purple round container (the actual name of it isn’t on the bottle). I love all the same foundations you do and with her primer it works really well. Love the Sephora foundation too! I have been following you and your am and pm routines for 15 months and wow what a difference in my skin. I recommend u to all of my friends and tell them “Just do what Angie says to do”! Thank u for your well thought out and tested recommendations

Great review! I'm 48 and I just cannot do the skin tints. The polk-a-dot pores make me cringe. I've found that tinted moisturizers with SPF work best for me and don't settle into lines, etc. I can't handle a cakey look... at all. Thanks for all of your wonderful reviews! I went into Sephora the other day and picked up Best Skin Ever and I really like it. It feels and looks good on my dry skin. Every natural and smooths out my skin with a nice low key color. I had a store associate test my skin for the right color. I've used it for a couple of days now and I still like it. I can't believe it's so inexpensive.

Can I just say how clear your skin looks! BTW picket up the Dior concealer and so far I love it. Also tried the Pat McGrath concealer and returned it, not good for my mature skin.

This is a foundation that I did not buy during the Sephora sale. Glad I didn't as this would definitely not work for my dry to very dry skin. I did buy the Sephora Best Skin Forever foundation and I wore it yesterday with great results. I hope you have time to review Ilia Foundation in the near future. I'm 58 yo and have never used make-up other than mascara and eye liner, and I stopped using those about 10 years ago. I'm thinking about starting to use foundation because, well, age. I love these videos, they are very informative and I just think you are so real and honest about the products. The only thing is, I start looking up some of the products and just...wow. People really spend this much money on make-up?? LOL

I bought this and had been having issues with it as well. I’m 38, normal skin with textured cheeks. I was trying it with various moisturizers, primers etc and today I finally got it to look decent. I used a very thin gel moisturizer, SuperGoop unseen sunscreen, a thin layer of the skin tint and only applied a second coat on the spots I needed. I’m glad I can at least use it now but will probably not repurchase lol

The one thing that I absolutely do not like Anna Foundation is the polka dot pores.. That is something I cannot forgive in the foundation. Thank you so much Angie!
