I absolutely adore that Nikkia doesn’t use a blurring filter in her videos when she shows us the texture of the foundation on her skin!! As someone with slightly textured, oily skin like hers I really appreciate seeing what these products would actually look like on my skin type 💜💜

I stopped wearing foundation, just wearing bb creams/tinted moisturizers when I turned 40. That is when I realized light coverage actually covers far more....which I wish I realized years before. When we wear heavy foundation, people can see it is a mask and then when it eventually clings to texture/flaws, they see them like they are magnified. When people can see through to our skin, they think our skin is not covered so they really don't notice where a flaw is spot concealed.

I recently turned 36 ,and I've switched to the fenty Powder foundation (which gives light) barely med coverage for me) and I totally agree .I feel my makeup looks so much better then with all the heavy layers I would wear.ive even started just putting concealer/powder and bronzer on my eyelids ,and I use to always wear a full on glam eyeshadow look.sometimes that foundation covers all our flaws and make us look so done up that u look like youre wearing a mask.

Totally agree. I use to wear very high coverage, matte foundations which would just look awful by the end of the day. And as I got older, was emphasising any tiny line I had. Now I use Korean bb creams and radiant light coverage foundations. I learnt to embrace the glow 😅

@@bundobee ooh there's quite a few I like. BB creams - purito bb cream I use almost every day. The Skin 79 Super Beblesh one is also amazing. Light foundations - my favourite is the Zelens foundation. Bit pricey but looks lovely on the skin. Fenty Eaze Drop is also awesome and has a wider shade range. There's also Madara foundation which is super dewy!

I thought it still looked really good at check in and at the end of the wear test! You definitely did not look oily, just looked glowy and really pretty! I absolutely love it, I'm oily as well although my skin is slighty drier because of retinol. However, it still looks very natural. This is my favourite product from Fenty so far 😊

I've seen mixed reviews so far from looking this item up. But I really do love how it looked on your skin. I always trust your reviews! This type of "foundation" is my type all the way! (Also, I tried the apple foundation for KVD. I have normal / combo skin. It looked horrible on my skin. I had texture and lines that didn't even exist! Def returned it! Lol)

It looks gorgeous on you. We’re going into the spring/summer so i usually reach for my mattifying foundations more but I’m interested in how this would work out. The matte foundations tend to do exactly what you mentioned, caking up and settling into lines. I have oily skin similar to yours and I’m gonna have to give this a try after watching your review.

Definitely seems like a high quality product. I’m leaning more towards low coverage these days vs I used to wear double wear all day everyday, lol. Hopefully fenty comes out with a matte lightweight version then I’ll purchase but for now I’ll wait

Funny you mentioned the Dior backstage face and body because I actually use this Fenty one for my first layer and the Dior face and body as my second layer and set it in place with a light powder. That’s been my go to for a couple weeks since I bought the Fenty on launch day

I actually watched a few reviews on this and lots of people said it was just “okay” but the Wet n Wild tinted hydrator was a decent dupe for this but better overall. So I bought it the other day and it just arrived. Just looking for something during summer for days I don’t want to wear my usual ELDW foundation.
