Foundation Stacking - Whatchouwant in 90 Seconds! Ark: Survival Evolved

Yes! You can build and stack with thatch then replace the foundations with metal ones later. It helps to cycle through your snap points, on PC use the "Q" button. I'm not sure what button the consoles use.

Whatchouwant sweet thanks for reply, I'll try this today excited :)... and what foundation would my walls be attached too wouldn't they just have to blow up the first one ?

It's a good idea to use ramps to help protect your foundations, you can put one ramp for every foundation if you want. The walls can be a little tricky because they will flicker to the different foundations, "Q" helps navigate snap points again. You can have double walls and doors by using fence foundations on the outer edge.

Whatchouwant I just triple layered foundation made of stone and it was a nightmare, in in official with a doed and a their and I think I made 30 more foundation than I needed since they where snapping in wrong spots, I hope making them out of metal won't be as bad. Lol

Building in ark with even single layers can be glitchy. Add in 2, 3 or more and "nightmare" is accurate! Building multi layered is frustrating for sure! Take your time with metal, especially on official! To cycle snap points use "Q" on PC, and I believe the back button on Xbox, google says the touchpad for PS4 but even then it will move around on you. The good thing is, once it's built you're finished! ...until you get wiped and need to do it again :). Good luck man!
