Power Cupcake Commits Halation is absolutely one of those series that develops a big online fandom who read into it way too much and treat it like a deep literary masterpiece, but then the creator comes out and says "nah I just love my wife's baking lol"

Every time Caldwell returns, he manages to outdo himself by making progressively more and more unhinged episodes. I love it

Caldwell and Karina have a crazy-grandpa and grandkid energy. The parents (Jacob and Nathan, obviously) know what to expect from grandpa and just go along with it. But the tempestuous scamp of a grandchild has no qualms talking back to grandpa. But rather than getting upset or disoriented, grandpa welcomes this new energy and encourages it further

Power Cupcake Commits Halation is one of my favorite mangas of all time-not only because of the beautiful imagery, but also the fact that the creators clearly put so much thought into it. I still remember the exact moment I realized that the hole in Pie-san is representative of the emptiness he feels. The fact that Service Pancake is lying in a heap on the ground, and yet his hand is still open to Power Cupcake, as if calling out to him, or perhaps offering support. There’s attention in every detail, and anyone who doubts that this is a serious manga needs only to look in the bottom corner, and find Latin written there. Latin is a very mature language, so it’s very mature and serious.

Using the Drawfee Variety Hour "Drawing with the Boys" picture for 12 year old caldwell was equal parts awful and amazing, thank you David.

Okay, so when you undercook pies, it's usually the center that gets all soupy. Like, turn one on it's side and the middle will just pour out. Perhaps our villainous pie is not injured, but undercooked.

It actually means “pain itself.” And it brings me great pain that this issue was left on such a cliffhanger. Power cupcake deserves better.

This episode gave me a great idea. What about a comic hero whose whole schtick is that he talks so much that his text bubbles escape time and space. He could defeat a villain by talking so much in the future that his text bubble pushes the bad guy over or blocks his vision in the past or something. "Hey speech bubble guy, could you help us lift this" cut to shot of him in the panel below them, with him monologuing so much that it lifts the fridge or whatever they're carrying. "Thanks speech bubble guy!"

Drawing suggestion: draw each other into an isekai. Example- Nathan is king of dinosaurs in a prehistoric world; Karina uses a Digimon deck in a YuGiOh-esque dimension; Julia is a Drawtective in an isekai full of vampires; and Jacob is the leader of a bunch of little guys rebelling against hot villains.

I just want you all to know, I’ve started a new job recently and have already driven everyone else out of the break room during lunches because every day, I find 30 minutes of joy by laughing my absolute ass off watching Drawfee (with headphones, so no one knows what I’m laughing at). This episode was especially potent. I have achieved break room domination, and alienated myself from coworkers in one fell swoop. Thank you Drawfee.

In a similar vein, I would love to see you guys do a "Marvel Method" drawing challenge. One artist pitches an idea, one artist does rough pencils for a panel, one artist does the inks, and the last artist does the colors. Finally, the original pitcher comes in and adds dialogue to the panels. Would be a REALLY COOL speed draw.

Power Cupcake is normally better at talking, he just sustained a head injury earlier, that's all. Service Pancake is Professor Pancake from Beyond the Soup Way and his/her (it's a Morgana situation) super power is Info-Dumping the Plot and figuring out what they need to do. Doctor Chickkken Pie is an evil fascist who can't accept his love for the lovely lady Pancake or for human decency also he feels the pain and suffering of the birds that were turned into him. That's his excuse for being evil but delicious with a glorious crimp. Also he has a funny comedic trio of sides that got kicked out of the story/died a few chapters ago so we knew things were getting serious.
