Perfect example of why car meets have been ruined by bad drivers, pops and bangs maps, burnouts, amateur drifting and the very necessary police presence. Imagine if people had a meet without all the idiots. Chances are the meet would be able to stay in the first location for the whole time 🤷🏻♂️

half the issue is when someone in their mx5 is revving the tits off it everyone runs to see. Its sad. I would love to go to more meets but i cant be arsed with the revving and pops, doesnt do anything for me.
That’s why you should go to classic car meets and not modded car meets. You still get the odd burnout here and there but the atmosphere is much friendlier.
25 years ago, was completly different, there was still idiots, but non of this antisocial banging, these new cars don't even sound nice,, I think these days the cars have got alot faster, but peoples driving has gone rapidly down hill. Give me the old school cruises any day

Yeah, for us around here it was right around when Paul Walker died. All the sudden people who never liked cars started getting into cars and I guess since there were so many more people, the small percentage of idiots got bigger. Pretty much every car meet or race around here nowadays has people wrecking, fighting and sometimes people get shot and stabbed. Over what, a race? It's honestly annoying as hell.

That Asda is great for meets. Super big and right next to the motorway. Not to mention a maccies inside and fuel on the way out. I can get down there in 5 minutes so if a meet pops up I'm usually down.

This video is everything wrong with the modified car community in this country, I'm all for displaying your car for fellow enthusiasts but going to places like a motorway services and making that much noise etc whilst HGV drivers are trying to rest is utterly unacceptable, bare in mind those drivers have paid upto £40 to park there for the night. Ffs try to arrange something more formal, yes it's expensive but it's better than nonsense like this. This isn't a rant at AdamC but the modified car community as a whole.
There are several issues with a formal car meetup though. First of all, the organisation would take much longer and would be way harder to do as you need to follow safety guidelines, find a place to host the meet and register the meet which might not even be accepted. Furthermore, certain people would avoid these meet-ups because there is too much police involvement. These people would then just meet up elsewhere triggering the same informal car meet you see right here. Even if you would host a non-registered car meet, it’s pretty much impossible for you to keep these people steady. As you can see, even when the police show up, they don’t give a f***
@myDecisi0n I've been too a car meet with some of the biggest automotive RU-vid creaters in the UK, including AdamC, minimal police presence despite everything from A lamborghini to a Trabant being in attendance, I'd make the argument that creators like AdamC need to get calling this studity out
The ‘Scat Pack’ Challenger is a decent enough trim(it features the 6.4l Hemi from the SRT), but it’s not something you’d plaster down the side of the car, it sits fairly low on the rung between the R/T and SRT(with the Hellcat, Redeye and Demon sitting above).
i remember years back when the flex was how loud your turbo flutter was. not how loud your 1 litre Fiesta or your mums 1 Series £200 map can bang. i appreciate that people still like to modify cars, but when did it go so wrong? i'm 32 and feel old because these pop and bang maps just annoy me..
Agreed. Noises were impressive because they came from impressive mods or interesting engines like burbly V8s, rumbly boxers, or a big turbo. A stupid map slapped on a basic engine isn't impressive.
As I have, to the annoyance of adam, previously said, I used a club rally Cortina or Escort 1 to attend meetings of one sort or the other in a controlled and orderly fashion. These cars were nicely, mechanically tuned, not electronic fiddles. They also ran with muffled straight through pipes and never drew unwarranted attention. I retain the view that adam is a knobhead of unparalleled standing, and would be surprised to find that at some point in the future he gets set about by irate locals that he so enjoys upsetting

Years ago a pop or bang meant somethimg. You had a powerful tuned car that had overun and was something special. Now any vehicle can have it and its cheap.
I can't say I know much, but I swear any 'modded' car I see is just a stock with a louder exhaust - mine had a crack and all of a sudden I was a boy racer... even noticed it got one girls attention.. but it was literally a broken muffler!

You’re right. These meets have very little to do with cars (for the majority). It’s an excuse for obnoxious behaviour and having a crowd to disappear into.
im driving to the uk in may for shedfest and it'll be my first uk car meet experience and i hope the people there will be a bit less crazy than this, id quite like to drive back to the netherlands in one piece afterwards lmao
@AdamC3046 & we played this game a few months ago mate. U can see the result of these meets are not good for the car scene community. The cars for the most part are well done, just need to the clowns to stop.

If car enthusiasts only wanted to impress other car enthusiasts then, most car meets would be held as far away from the general public as is possible (airfields, abandoned industrial sites etc) but, thats not what its about for 90% of the attendees of these meets, its about hoping that the general public that they are intentionally pissing off will think that they are badboy gangstaz and equally fear and admire them! #asboandproud!!😂 I suppose its better than the 90's Max power meets where kids got ran over😂
The problem is that even outside of the city, you will annoy the general public as population density is a thing nowadays and a lot of different people will always have conflicting interests. Also, as an organiser, you want your car meet to be as accessible and flexible as possible. If the police show up, you would probably not have as much flexibility as in the city, as there are a lot fewer parking lots for cars to meet up

These kind of meets give the car community a bad name. I prefer proper organised meets. I also prefer classic cars. A fiesta ecoboost popping and banging does nothing for me.

Police car MPG is very low - probably due to the vehicle sitting on standby with the engine idling for extended periods. Those mpg meters can be deceptive 👍
It’s still a lot better than a Toyota Prius that’s for sure as old top Gear showed us that at normal speed a E 92 M3 with a 4 L V8 is more economical than Toyota Prius 😂😂

@@DisAstra-qx9gq that wouldn’t surprise TBO what uses even more fuel than that is if you drive to your local corner shop that is a 10 minute walk from your house guarantee you probably use more fuel starting your car then going there and back Plus I absolutely love the engine in XC90 If it’s an old model then it will have the same 4.4L V8 As the noble M600 which has 650hp an a top speed of 225 mph

If they say you have somethimg that isn't road legal etc you can only be given a warning and the amount of regs they have to adhere by you can just argue against as unless they have a dB meter they can't actually hold it against you. I would Prefer: Front Wheel Drive with a Manual Transmission, with JDM Spec "Square Lights" a Mental 1.8 VTEC 16V Four that Revs to 9000!, totally Factory Stock Spec (no darn "Fart Cannon" Please), a chassis Code with "DC3" in it ,and a Factory "Type R" badge... only one of the Greatest Drivers Cars ever made!
