5:30 That's a game losing misplay. If your opponent is good they'll sacrifice Battle Cry Goblin and Munitions Expert to pump haste and attack with 6/5 Muxus annd 2/1 Prospector for lethal (Sacrifice stops life gain). You have to do this in response to the haste or do it at end step. Gotta slow down Seth lol
@@evanhendrickson3449 As per rule 601 and 602 (602 states activating abilities follows the 601 process) the process for activating an ability is as follows: 1. Declare the activation of the ability of Battle Cry Goblin. 2. Place the ability on the stack (601.2a) 3. Pay costs (601.2b). You may use mana in your pool or activate mana abilities (such as Skirk Prospector)
Did Seth really complain about luck at the end of a game where his opp muxxused 2x and hit 3 total cmc of goblins in 12 cards? I've never seen muxxus whiff that bad 2x in over a thousand games of historic.
@@Hidewrath Do tell that after reading the effort people put in gathering actual analytic data into this shuffler's behavior, or your own experience. Unless you, of course, play with a deck with 20+ means of scrying in some rare lands and don't bother with seeing what is in front of your eyes. Arena's shuffler IS rigged and it ain't even a joke when you see people scry 5+ lands to the bottom and still draw land.
28:55 seth saying idk how they get out of this, and then they immediately get out of it with the perfect card against a sliver deck at the the perfect time😂😢
That's a cool list. I hoenstly thought, if you'd build slivers in historic you would also put grizly salvage + unearth sliver in the deck so you can unearth the first sliver and cascade into more slivers. Maybe that's too ambitious though.
All slivers needs is a spell queller sliver, a 2 mana other slivers you control have indestructible sliver, and a 3 mana lord sliver that also gives some ability to all your slivers......like say hexproof and they'll be good lol.
It feels like Slivers needs 1 more +1/+1 lord and a couple better sideboard slivers and they are a super legit deck. I really hope wotc doesnt think this is all slivers needed, which I dont because there are some obvious holes for the tribe right now but I think maybe next core set or horizon drop, we'll get more.
they don't do that when keywords aren't common in a set. If it said "ward 2," they would also have to say "(this creature can't be targeted unless you pay 2)," so instead of saying all that they also just shorten it by taking out ward 2. Also sometimes there's synergies that they don't want to have to think about, which is why they get rid of some keywords like surveil and instead just say "look at the top of your library, you may put that card into your graveyard." So basically it makes it easier for new/casual players and it makes it easier on development to not have to test so many existing synergies.
Hey Seth, I came up with a Slivers brew myself, and while it's nothing out of this world in terms of strength, it's also quite fun. It's for BO1, but I'm always never mana screwed. Leeching sliver gives me a shot against Serra's Emissary since it doesn't target, and Realmwalker / Faceless Agent helps giving the deck more gas instead of CoCo. Anything can be cast by the rainbow lands, I found it much more fun this way. Here's the list if you want to take a look: Deck 4 Diffusion Sliver (J21) 33 2 Sentinel Sliver (J21) 23 4 Striking Sliver (J21) 88 4 Realmwalker (KHM) 188 3 Leeching Sliver (J21) 57 2 Spirebluff Canal (KLR) 286 4 Manaweft Sliver (J21) 102 4 Predatory Sliver (J21) 104 4 Cloudshredder Sliver (MH1) 195 4 Sliver Hive (J21) 122 4 Ancient Ziggurat (CONF) 141 4 Unclaimed Territory (XLN) 258 4 The First Sliver (MH1) 200 2 Botanical Sanctum (KLR) 281 3 Cleaving Sliver (MH1) 121 2 Inspiring Vantage (KLR) 283 2 Blooming Marsh (KLR) 280 4 Faceless Agent (J21) 1
@@bsb3339 he played two slivers soon after that stamp and the sliver allows any targeting he gains two life and puts the opponent on summoning sickness so he has no sac outlet instead of doing at that moment an inconsequential 2 damage to face.
@@bsb3339 sorry I dont ever watch the setup anymore I have been watching seth for 10 years.... that format for targeting always seems like it targets whatever you want.
Historic deck...has cost in dollars (historic isn't a paper format), and tix (no historic on mtgo), but not a rarity breakdown? Also, don't wanna dip ur toe in black for something like call of the death dweller?
Best deck in the format is mono white humans by almost a 5% win rate gap on tge ladder fyi, creativity is in the next tier of decks but mono w humans is close to a 70% winrate its kinda insane.
Thalia, Paulo, esper sentinel, and ranger captain are really good vs the current go off on t5 creativity, and then post board you get containment priests and dranith magistrate, which just combos with paulos card as they cannot cast it, postboard. Esper sentinel, thalia also super good vs drc decks and they can't deal with an enchant. And getting to run 4 faceless haven without drawback is super nice, ranger captain, esper sentinel and thraben inspector give a lot of grinding ability for ww, and lieutenant and the 2 cmc anthem get your stuff big pretty quick and decks can hardly afford a 1 power esper tax, much less 2 or 3 especially with a thalia out etc. But you just don't really make it better with a second color, you either lose faceless haven because your running untapped duals which lack the snow or your mana gets real bad, and you are still base white as bw so thoughtseize is pretty awkward to expect to t1.
his videos aren't actually half bad when you mute them, I'm sorry my guy but you just overdo every single word you speak, which really hits a dent in the entertaining aspect.
Seth, please look at the camera during your video intros instead of looking at your computer screen. The slightly-off gaze looks insincere and artificial at times.
