I'm not sure if I mentioned a specific year but I want this series to play out during 2020. This is one year after World War 3. The war that was caused by events that we are familiar with today, in 2015. Nuclear warheads hit major cities and destabilized nations all over the globe and created a lawless wasteland. Factions with various ideas and goals would rise from the ashes and are now struggling for control over what used to be Russia. The Trade Union sends out a trade convoy to try and establish a foothold in the Novgorod Region, former central western Russia. The New Order has established a military base in the area and aim to gain influence over the region. The Followers of Yermak spread like a virus throughout former Russia. The Novgorod Republic (also known as The New Novgorod Republic) aims to protect their interests in their home region.
this a very great backstory and a great story for each factions but as a suggestion not if you want but watching this made think of a another factions that were use to be a EU joint task force but after the nuclear war are the remains of EU last task force in which they have their base on a abandoned AFB near France and have still some equipment on their arsenal and some other equipment in the AFB, the task force has few outposts and two main bases near some surviving EU survivor areas and their only opposing enemy are raiders that they get hit by hit and run tactics but nothing serious. the task force is remant of France,England,Germany, and other minor factions that are still left and survivors called them as "Peacekeepers" of Eurpe but have some plans for their mission, well that's my idea for a another faction but is your choice since this is a faction that i had planned
+Jonathan Giang That's a really good question! It has only been a year since the war begun and almost immediately ended due to the massive destruction and chaos it caused. No one knows, for now.

+DiplexHeated I really love the concept of the new order, but the name is the same to the bad guys in the new star wars movie. Maybe their name can be slightly altered to something like, "the last order" or "the slavic order". Other than that, this series is perfect and could easily be the most popular series on your channel yet.
I have a theory. This is the first episode of the series. It came out on the 23rd of December last year. I have a feeling that he will start season 2 on the one year anniversary of when the series first debuted. That or it is not coming at all.

Edited - Updated 2021 09 06 Holy crap I made that comment when i was 16 and watched this series when I was 13-14.... Now I am 18 lookin back at these nostagic video christ Season 2 would be dope and ill still would watch it lol.
I would like to see these factions again, Novgorod Republic all the way. Also to note if you Compared these groups to ones of Fallout New Vegas Novgorod Republic seems to be like the NCR, and The New Order like the Eastern Brotherhood of Steal with a Caesars Legion type of way of dealing with Politics. The Cultists seem to me like Cesears Legion but you know, alot more destructive, and the trade Union just seem like the traders in New Vegas, trading, though they are an actual government the Union is. (Just watched the descriptions of the factions and this is just viewing off that.)

I really love this series! It has so much depth and it is so unique and creative! I love the story and factions! Please, PLEASE continue this series it is beautiful!
Duplex next time make some of the factions neutral toward each other! Press f8 or f9 and go to diplomacy and then make the players neutral to each other, then they may or may not shoot etc.
+William Tucker Some of the factions not being immediately hostile to each other would go a long way towards realism. The Trade Union seems like the type to be neutral with everyone except for bandits and cultists. Perhaps the New Order if they feel like being uppity.

Honestly would have made more sense to have the Cultists stay in the forest and fight a Guerilla War and Maybe have had the 2 bandit factions join forces
That was incredible. Really good scenario, would like to see more of this. I like how you played out this battle, patrols bumping into each other, survivors of the encounter telling their comrades about who ambushed them. The day and night cycle was very enjoyable to see. I love this sort of scenario of a post apocalyptic setting, the New Order seem to be real badass and their pretty much my favorite faction in this introduction so far. Good that there doesn't need to be only 1 winner. Also poor Trade Union, didn't stand a chance against the Novgorod republic probably thought some psychos came down the hill and started shooting at them, could've traded supplies.
The hype is fucking real! Oh my god please more! The amount of imagination is limitless with this landscape you created Diplex. An idea for future video, a nationalist group has risen up in this wasteland led by a former Colonel in the last World War named Sacha Mendeleev, an ambitious ruthless man who leads an army of former soldiers and civilians who believe it is their destiny to unite Russia under their ideology of being strong and committed to making Russia a superpower that no one can match. Sacha Mendeleev has declared rightful civil war to unite his once proud country under his new government "True Russia". Sacha Mendeleev- Long live the Motherland, long live True Russia!
I actually love the fact that you are spreading you creative wings Diplex. I have loves the more story driven scenarios you have created and this post-apocalyptic world you have made is extremely interesting :) Cannot wait for more installments. Have loved our work for years, keep it up :D
You should do a strategized bandit attack against the new order, trade union, or the republic. Which in my opinion could add some backstory, like some bandit leader is rallying bandits which could lead to the birth of a new faction. Which in turn could lead to some crazy alliances. hope you like the idea!
+DiplexHeated The idea of a well known wastelander rallying other unaffiliated Russians together to form a 5th faction does seem pretty badass. Could well make for another nomadic faction, to counterbalance the Trade Unionists.
This video gave me a lot of inspiration for things I can do in the Editor, it was an absolute joy to watch too. There was a good amount of you controlling the units and guiding the story along and the AI acting on its own in that glorious period of dynamic AI response and unpredictability especially at the begging with the New Order moving out on their own. Damn good video
I'm really looking forward to a new series. It adds so much more to the gameplay when you can reference to previous battles and future plans and can actually SEE the respective situations morph over time!

So I started watching your content about a year before this series and well, all I can say is that I loved it, and when this beautiful series came out I was watching almost constantly for a new video to come out and make my day once again. This is pure awesomeness. I've always loved those semi-post-apocalyptic world settings. Strongly recommend the film 《Babylon A.D.》, not so much for its plot but mainly for its spectacular post-WWIII chaotic world settings, really similar to Diplex's new series. (and YES DIPLEX is finally making ANOTHER SERIES!)

As the loud, blaring battle-siren of the base had faded to the standard alarm for a stand-to guard, he casually wandered back to the AA gun they used for cutting down useless yokels like raiders, Yeremakites and unprepared Novgorod patrols. Knowing the rest of the day would probably consist of pumping some water and checking on the turnips, he took this brief moment of respite, leaned against the truck. As he pulled a cigarette from his front pocket, he turned to the Gunner, sliding the slender tobacco-cylinder between his lips. "Nice shooting, Vladislav."
I think it would be a cool idea of the bandits got ahold of a T-90 and went on a little 'joy-ride' while the other faction did there best to stop it or even capture it. Another idea would be if NNR troopers had to hold off waves of New Order soldiers while supplies and civilians are being evacuated from a settlement. Or a similar situation where the Trade Unionists are trying go on supply runs to gather 'assets' from different areas while 'dealing' with the locals. Anyway, I love the series. It's a really cool concept and I look forward to watching it develop.

I kind of made a fallout: new vegas mod for this game. It was mostly skins and maps with a few modded weapons and vehicles,but I only implement NCR, Caesar's Legion, Bos, and the Enclave. if you want a download link I'm sorry, the computer I made it on over heated and died one day. It was glitchy as hell anyway

i liked the videos back then so much and this was just such a cool idea i made my own men of war after world war 3 with the donbass mod and some fallout scratch
When he was talking about the New Order and the Novograd Republic, all that popped in my head was New Order = Caesar's Legion, and Novograd Republic = NCR!!

I love this concept diplex, it would be great if you could develop the story of the factions, for example one faction could be wiped out in a large battle or maybe a faction sends a task force to assasinate the cults leader, something along those lines, basically do more narrative men of war videos!! ( especially this )
This series is awesome! I love this game, and post-apocalyptic settings, so seeing those two things I like be together is like a dream come true. I just want to ask though; Do you make all the maps for these videos? All the little details, buildings and stuff? Because holy hell, is it well made.
This is the coolest thing EVER DONE WITH MW2 AS(in my opinion). Diplex you must continue this, and maybe one of old Russia's neighbors (from which a certain you-tuber is from) would have some groups of people joining the party?
