Jeb's Studio Good Afternoon. If I'm not mistaken He is from London... Could you confirm that please? I was looking for them long time ago but the previous boxing gym just closed... Where can I find them now? Could you tell me please? Thank you in advance.
@@AB-ro3fu If you can handle the effort, after a few weeks you'll start looking down at most, and up at others. If I could do it again, I would have insisted that my sons do a combat sport while in middle school. It's good to know that if it gets to that last level, you can defend yourself, or that you need to run, and run away fast.
Oh man...watching this man brings back SO many memories of my dad teaching me the fundamentals when I was 12-13 years old. When you know a little about boxing and see a man who moves like this you just KNOW. There is NO doubt he's the REAL DEAL, that he's been doing it forever, and he can teach this stuff in his sleep! He also seems like a heck of a guy I'd love to meet and train with!
Awesome and well seasoned old school coach that you can always trust to tell you like it is, they don't make them like that anymore..GREAT VIDEO, Please keep them coming,
Milton's gonna be a right human weapon in the next year or two yeah.... Solid fundamentals, and good boxing instruction for those setting out, to be sure One of the truly amazing things about this journey of the warrior is that one is still learning and re-learning, and can still gain insights at any and every point along the way: indefinitely. Big respect to all of the brothers and sisters on this path in life. Walk in peace. Onward and upward.
Fundamentals: 1. 0:46 Left foot out front the length of a normal step, left shoulder out front, knees slightly bent 2. 1:56 elbows in front of the body, hard stuff in front of the soft stuff, (common sense) 3. 2:08 Hands in front of your head nose level. 4. 2:56 Throw Punches straight out straight back.
Nice to see a coach who doesn't hold the mitts like a D-Bag. I hate those people who slam the mitt into my hands. It serves no purpose other then to almost break my wrist during hooks and uppercuts, and end my day with bruised knuckles.
Well, the idea is for you to punch the mitts, not for the mitt to punch your fists. I've worked with people, and I see lots of coaches slam people's fists so hard, that the person does not even have to move their hands, and mitts will come to them. That's stupid and dangerous, and yet it is super popular.
Valid point indeed lad. It is good for a fighter to bear in mind too, that sometimes ya can just leave it up for a moment, like 'twas a mistake, and then straight wipe the grin right off their face n all too, yeah.. As in, the need for boxers and fighters to always remain aware of tricks and set-ups too...But tucking the chin is certainly a good idea indeed; to be sure...
Yah. to hell with the numbers game. I like how he slaps him with the mitt if he drops his guard and keeps him moving. That guy he's working with could be a good a boxer someday. Good work
And that's why Floyd uses the shell. It eliminates the guesswork as to where his opponent will likely target. Based on his opponent's foot position, by the 3rd round he usually knows where the opponent is targeting.
His training method pretty much exactly like the way Russ Anber,he even demonstrates the same techniques and the way he holds the pads is exactly the way Russ explains it
Great trainer! He gets so much information in and states it clearly and creatively. Still, I can't help but wonder how many times he had to yell, "stop trying to be Ali, you're gonna get yourself killed" (people tend to hold their hands low in a pointless attempt to be like Ali)
This is a veteran trainer who knows his boxing....now let's see how many professional boxing champions actually follow these fundamentals when watching a championship fight....useful information to critique a professional boxing match as to who will be the winner and who will be the loser. If you watch Manny Pacquiao fight you'll see he does all of the things this trainer says to do.
Good tips but I don't agree with a few things. You should not dance, rather glide. Bouncing around makes you tired plus you can't defend or punch properly while bouncing.
Not bad with the hands...but he is off on the footwork. Should have the feet spaced out more than that. Just moving the forward foot ahead another couple inches increases your reach greatly.
