A four jaw chuck which will do all that a conventional chuck will do and much more. Also, having a greater capacity than a similar size conventional chuck. Quite clever. It is somewhat similar to my idea for adding jaws to my rotary table.

I'm going to make one for the table rotary table of my milling machine, it really looks very versatile to hold material of irregular shape

Can those clamps be used on a faceplate? Any suggestions on when to use a faceplate vs your t-slot set up?
