I love your review! You must review all the things! I just discovered these meat pies at my local discount store, and they are amazing! Most frozen anything here in the United States is disgusting, and beef is usually more squishy soy mush mixed into it than real meat. I went back and bought twenty of them!

I normally find most frozen supermarket pies pretty ordinary, nothing beats a pie from the local bakery.

For a microwavable pie, try out Mrs Macs. Coles have them on special this week for $1.12 each I think? At least in Melbourne anyway. They also do sausage rolls and pasties. I haven't eaten Four n Twenty pies in years, they're far too gristly these days :/ This is from someone who while in Grade 2 at school(I was 8?), at Parent-Teacher interviews, one of the first things my parents were asked was how could I eat a pie without getting it all over myself :D I'd even take in my own tomato sauce too cos I only liked the one brand(Rosella! I've since branched outward though) But really, the oven is the best way to go for a pie. Sure, it sucks in regards to time, but I feel it's worth it! :D Actually, the best way to get yourself a pie is to get them from a good bakery. Nothing like it!

I saw a taxi driver eating a plate of food at a set of lights with a knife and fork (in aus) so having sauce in your car wouldn't be that weird, it might get hot though.

i give them 7.5/10. they retain their heat for so long tho so you burn your mouth for the first half an hour , but this is standard for any pie i guess, so i shouldnt be complaining in the first place

Greg l love Pie Face pies here in Melbourne my favourite being the Butter Chicken give it a try and see what you think. Four and Twenty Pies are total crap these days all crust hardly any meat. Give the Coles Chicken and Vegetable pies a try as well better value and taste pretty good.

Just discovered these (beef n cheese) in the States. Hard to find tho. A little A-1 and they're pretty awesome.

I swear I had these at my highschool like 5 years ago. They were called something different though. I do remember that they tasted amazing.

I wish we had more selection here but banquet and Stouffer's in the mini pie tins corner the market. Nothing like Australia, NZ or the UK.

I've microwaved plenty of pies because - lazy. Crisping them up in the oven makes a big difference, though.

Wouldn't buy it personally however if I were baked out of my mind and wandering through the supermarket I'd probably pick it up, however I'd springle some sesame seeds over it and bake it in the oven.

four n twentys plain pies are usually pretty good tasting to me and the travellers are usually not so full i suppose so it dont drop on ya lap driving down the street...lol.Got a bit worried Grego for a minute there ya left the dead horse to the last minute ;-)

I'll only ever defrost frozen pies in the microwave so they're quicker in the oven.

I had one today (the classic beef) and it was quite disappointing. The meat has soy protein to fill it out which is horrible as it makes it have a weird texture.
