Four officers that were killed in a Charlotte, N.C. shooting have been identified. The officers were serving a warrant at a residence when a gunman opened fire on them. Those killed included a deputy U.S. Marshal, two correction officers and a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer. The gunman was shot and killed at the home. Authorities said he had a lengthy criminal record. NBC News' Sam Brock reports.

I don’t understand this comment by the Mayor of Charlotte… “Charlotte isn’t going to be the last place that this happens,” Mayor Vi Lyles said, “but Charlotte will be the place that will heal - that will heal with dignity and respect for everyone.” When she said ‘Charlotte will heal with dignity and RESPECT FOR EVERYONE (caps mine)…does she mean respect for the shooter also? I am just trying to understand so if anyone can help me understand this comment, I would appreciate it. I may have misinterpreted it. Thank you.
