The use of computers to make music was a hot topic in the 1990s. This is an audio recording of an edition of the VH1 television show Four on the Floor. Presented by Anthony DeCurtis, the show had a panel consisting of J.D. Considine, Amy Linden, Scott Poulson-Bryant, plus a musical guest star (in this case, Brian Eno). The show was recorded in 1995 although the University does not know the transmission date.
Eno's Diary A Year with Swollen Appendices (1995) reads: "24 October ... visit to VH1 to do a chat show with J.D. Considine and others. Everyone talks ten-to-the-dozen and has immediate and passionate opinions about absolutely everything. This is TV passion - instant, intense, forgettable. I feel like a tweedy egghead snail - slow, careful."
