I am a Titanium Elite Marriott Bonvoy Member and I normally like luxury 5 star hotels! I booked the cheapest room which was a King Guest Room and although, I had checked in using the Mobile App - I was happy to receive a complimentary upgrade to the Terrace Suite (second largest room at this property) when standing at the check in counter. You can watch the full review on RU-vid at Luxury Vegan Travel where I have many reviews of hotels in Thailand and flights. I will be also reviewing hotels in USA, Singapore, Malaysia, India and more - so hit that subscribe button to follow!
As soon as I arrived and opened the tai door, Khun Bird (Chief Concierge) greeted me and escorted me to the Front Desks for checking in. Khun Bird recognised me as he used to work at Marriott Marquis - where I had stayed on a dozen occasions!
Check in was polite and professional and I was given some complimentary drinks vouchers (4 which I think was 2 per night).
Whilst checking in, a few staff members also greeted me as well as the GM, Khun Daniel. Daniel also recognises me as he was the former Room Director at the Marriott Marquis.
Khun Bird escorted me to my Suite. The Suite, consisted of a separate bedroom, living room, bathroom and closet area, and of course, the outdoor terrace! This suite comes with some extra benefits that the normal rooms don’t have - such as - Complimentary 2 items of laundry per night and unlimited complimentary tea/coffee at the Eatery. The room was clean and had all the amenities you would expect - see video. The only thing I think could be better here was the fixed shower head - the force was low. However, there is a detachable hand held shower head which was extremely powerful!
The rooftop bar is pretty and plays good music. There is a nice vibe and the pool is also right there! Very enjoyable and great staff.
I then started walking around the hotel exploring where everything was and what services were offered. The staff were so friendly and I was really happy chatting to them!
The next morning, Khun Bird was worried that I may have difficulty getting to the breakfast due to me being 99% blind and knocked on my door at 9am to escort me to breakfast. How thoughtful? I was so impressed and privileged to experience such high level of personal service.
At Breakfast, Khun May, had prepared my breakfast just the way I like as discussed with her previously. She too was waiting by the front desk and she and her team took amazing care of me.
The Eatery - which is the main restaurant used for Breakfast and all day dining - has a great vibe! Combined with great staff, I really enjoyed sitting there and eating or just working on my iPad! Jack (as seen in the video pouring the sparkling wine) was very attentive and friendly.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay - so much so that, I booked a further stay but this time in the hotel’s presidential suite - their largest room/suite. This suite also comes with complimentary Laundry and unlimited tea/coffee at the Eatery - like the Terrace Suite - but it also comes with a one-way complimentary limousine service - which for me was very handy as on checking out, I needed a ride to the airport! The limo is also equipped with Wi-FI.
The hotel also has a Tuk Tuk/Buggy service which can drop you near Terminal 21 or in between the hotel and Terminal 21 and also has an entrance/exit on Soi 17. This is mainly a quite Soi - nothing much going on there.
When returning (to stay in the presidential suite) I was unwell on the day. Khun Daniel, the GM, organised all of my favourites to be in the room on arrival - very very thoughtful and caring! This was some fresh ginger tea, a delicious salad, a FRESH COCONUT, and a bottle of bubbly! I soon recovered quickly!
Overall, I really look forward to visiting this hotel again and being one of the most affordable in Bangkok under the Marriott umbrella of properties, I can say that it is excellent value for money! Also, something I will mention - they have an excellent offer on a salad buffet for lunch at the Eatery - 199 THB ++ for all you can eat salad! I loved this!
I would recommend a try and if you have any questions - I am happy to help. I want to say that I did not receive any incentives, financial or otherwise, for writing this review.
Four Points By Sheraton Bangkok is located on Soi 15, very close to Asok BTS (Sky train) and Sukhumvit MRT (Underground Metro) stations. Great for transport and nightlife as it is close to many of the tourists’ favourites like Soi 11, Nana and Cowboy. Also close to many shopping malls such as Terminal 21 and not too far from Emporium.

Fairly reasonable price for the presidential suite. What other cities in Thailand will you be reviewing?

In Jan/Feb, I will be doing 2 new hotels in Bangkok, Hua Hin, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai & Ko Samui. + 4 hotels in Singapore. Before then I will do a bunch of USA hotels too! Are you interested in any particular city? I do also want to Krabi and more in Phuket - speaking of, the next 3 videos will be Phuket (the next 3 Fridays).

@luxuryvegantravel8137 Was going to add Chiang Mai to my trip next year. Since it's burning season during that time, I had to change my plans. Have you been before?

@@ruudebwoy77 I have been before but I only really stayed in the hotel mainly (not filming then), walked the streets to explore and visited some temples. But this was around 10 years ago so may be it has changed. I will stay at Le Meridien. I am only there for 2 nights so won't get to do much. But if I like it then on a future visit I will do some activities / tours and film those too!
