Yea.. they did wear them though at some concerts … it was just how they all did.. till Neil young and finally ended when nirvana hit the stage… you rarely seen the silly clown outfits anymore
My favorite band, like watching two Viking warriors sing and play rock and roll. Add in Robbie's drumming and Blair's guitar which just made them greater than the sum of their parts. No band will ever take their place with me.
Yes Sir. BTO, Head East, ARS, Rory Gallagher, Neil Young, UFO, Bad Co., Beatles and so much more. Incredible summer it was. Started working at the Company I'm still at today.
@@johngoguen361 Oh to go back to those days and relive what we had. I wouldn't change anything about what I have today - kids, grandkids, an amazing wife. But to capture those days and the simple feelings we had back then.
It took guts for Bachman-Turner Overdrive to put on a show for the prisoners at a men’s penitentiary in Canada. And the audience enjoyed the show very much.
I think I read somewhere an interview Robbie gave where he said he resented doing that concert- didn't feel the convicted criminals deserved it or something along those lines.
@@jeffcoat1959well… one can’t judge the entire bunch.. there are likely a lot that belong there.. but a significant amount of them are probably just regular guts who made a mistake.. sold some weed or some bs .. that’s how all prisons are basically
They NEED to be in the R&R Hall of Fame! They have sold OVER 30 MILLION RECORDS now (Read the rest of their stats)> Their 1970s catalogue included five top-40 albums and six US top-40 singles (11 in Canada). BTO has five certified gold albums and one certified platinum album in the US; in Canada, they have six certified platinum albums and one certified gold album. There are several undeserving bands in the R&R HOF with far less album sales too!
WHAT? I assumed they already were in the HOF . What a disgrace to have piss rap in the "Rock and Roll" HOF for PC reasons yet not BTO...I think Left End should get some honorable mentions too
The "Rock and Roll" Hall of Fame is anything but Rock and Roll. People like Frampton, Ted Nugent, BTO, and so many others are snubbed over some rap artist. It's a total disgrace.
Right on, brother. “You ain't seen nothin’ yet” had just hit the airwaves as I was preparing to leave my native New York City (at 17) for Bayou country (Louisiana ) and Southern Rock ( ZZ Top, CCR, Ram Jam, and Lynyrd Skynyrd to name a few). 😎🎸
@@JamesEIvoryIII Lynyrd Skynyrd is as far as I am concerned the best Southern Rock Band who ever played together. They are the reason I ever picked up a guitar.😀
I love the love of all the comments I feel you Brothers and Sisters I was 13 when I first heard this album and it changed my life. I got a guitar and got into a band and the rest is history. I am 62 now and still playing bass in 3 bands where I live man its tough to find players anymore I have always said put music into grade one give kids the chance to pick an instrument because it will change your life if it were not for music and my kitty cats I would not be here.
I did in Mpls MN front row, it was actually too loud, & it can't be too loud for me but the house sound was shitty, still was awesome. I think it was the Not Fragile tour.
I saw these guys on this tour in Columbus Ohio man it was one of the hottest days on record in columbus Randy had on a vest and I mean it was so hot I almost passed out from the heat but these guys played on amazing show will never forget it
That's Pretty Wicked 😂 I remember having to actually sit in a seat. Enjoy the music. Remember it. Clap Some. And not have to be reminded. After seeing the video on my phone, after being released from Custody 😂 ... or, getting my friends out 😏 MEMORIES 🥰
Saw these guys Columbus Ohio same tour one of the hottest nights it was in the 100s and this venue had no a/c . But the show was amazing considering how hot it was another band that should be in the r/r hall of Fame.
No wonder CF Turner had to cut his hair to keep from overheating! Back in 73-74, THEY WERE the leading band in America of what I call American (who cares if they're from Canada!) "power rock" with their first three albums. I listened to them as much as I could along with Aerosmith's Get Your Wings at that time. I'd say the next hottest things to come along were Rush and Boston, and deservedly so....Oh, and, Brother, I hope you realize WE NEED to establish a parallel 'R & R HOF' voted on exclusively by the former-Working- & former-Middle-class Boomers and the later gens. who CAN appreciate this music to stop the injustice.
My older cousins taught me how to play smoke on the water but I never kept up learnning guitar. My dad played guitar but he never taught us...he would just pull his guitar out and play every once in awhile.
I can appreciate and enjoy many different musical genres. If you want to give someone an example of a bonafide ROCK & ROLL song you can't do much better than "Four-wheel Drive" by Bachman-Turner Overdrive! Love it!
quando escutei essa guitarra do alto dos meus 8 anos , minha vida mudou !! hoje tenho 56 anos ,When I heard this guitar when I was 8 years old, my life changed!! today i am 56 years old
Gotta love that drummer/singers dynamic. This song is very unique, it kicks ass, and deserves respect from the major classic rock stations. The crowd is another platinum element here. Sometimes you just gotta squeeze in another BTO to keep the wheel in the skies keep turnin.. dont know where ill b tomorrow
lol they rehearsed that toss the drumstick back to the drummer thing 1,000 times he was not going to miss that one you catch that you got a crowd in front of tonight boy
