I wrote a book on human behavior and taught body language at Harvard University. The behavior Paige Beach exhibited is called “appeals to credentials,” which is when someone attempts to discredit a particular argument or claims someone is incapable of presenting on a certain topic if they don’t have a formal degree in the subject. This, of course, is a fallacious argument. Either the information presented is true and valid or it is not. Just as I can truthfully say that 2+2=4 even though I don’t have Ph.D. in mathematics, the information taught by Brad Wilcox in his lectures is just as valid (and would likely be exactly the same) as it would be if it were taught by a medical doctor. With that said, I don’t believe it’s Brad’s education that Paige takes issue with. While she was talking, she exhibited micro expressions of contempt in her countenance. This leads me to believe she was using appeals to credentials as merely a “smokescreen,” or an excuse to hide the real issue she has with Brad, which I believe is the fact that he is a prominent leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I don’t believe her opinion of Brad would change if he actually did have a medical degree.

If u say so, sure. Brad is a great story teller and presenter why hes always done sessions with the youth at BYU Education Week. Utah takes the phrase "It Takes a Village" to a whole new level. What exactly do parents do in Utah besides have babies??

Why was I expecting more from this? It's ridiculous that people are complaining about this. What was wrong with his approach? I'm a Christian, and I do not believe in Mormonism... I saw no issue with his approach.

So he doesn’t get to talk about the natural changes that happen to us as we mature through adolescence into adulthood, but we ARE allowing our kids to entertain the belief that gender is malleable, we whisk them off to get “gender affirming care” and everything is okay? Is this a double standard, and if it isn’t, then why don’t you explain it?

Why don't they insist that the parents view it first and then discuss questions or concerns or present ideas that everyone can agree on. And then decide whether or not it's ok for their individual kids after the whole thing is finalized. Parents will mostly not want to have this talk because they don't know what to say or expect the response to be. I think there doesn't need to be such a divide in understanding. Or fear of what is or isn't in the presentation. And maybe offer an option for kids at the end of highschool to decide to watch a video of it if their parents didn't want them to see it sooner.

Most people don’t understand what “separation of church and state” actually means. It means the government cannot influence religion, not the other way around. The U.S. constitution and original laws of the land were written affording to our founding fathers’ religious beliefs. Most people ignorantly throw around the term “separation of church and state” when a secular leader or person of influence happens to have religious values others don’t like or agree with.

A lot of people have misconceptions regarding the meaning of “separation of church and state.” It meant that the state/ government couldn’t dictate one’s religious beliefs. It never meant that religious beliefs couldn’t influence the state/ government. The U.S. Constitution/ original laws of the land were based on our founding fathers’ religious beliefs. Nowadays, people mistakenly through around the phrase “separation of church and state” when moral issues are turned into laws some people disagree with.

Something else to think about is that Fox is using rhetoric to give you creeper vibes. The music, word choice, and shots are intended to make you feel unsettled in this video. This is something that if you are already sensitive to it will really affect you. I have hear Professor Wilcox speak many times and I felt the creep vibe. It is not him though, it is the presentation.
