He also conditions opponents in ways that has him hard-reading their techs and rolls in some insane fashion. It literally looks like he's in Leo's head at the end of this set and looks like that VERY OFTEN with a lot of his opponents.
Zach Goraum exactly man, super entertaining and hype. That’s what we need. Sm4sh started to die out because of (not gonna say bayo) but the hype was fading.
got damn tho i wish i had thinner hair, or at least not at fluffy... i dry my hail, argan oil and all, yet my hair just expands back out into a cloud-like puff
@@Daddio_McFly its like, "Sword-guys" ... am I right or am I right? Being a small char with a weapon puts you at 80% endowment in this game. Not even true smash
Didn't know Leo got so much hate. It's kind of upsetting. Although most of this community is for some reason never satisfied with anything, ever. Anyway, respect to both players for this amazing set
They see Ike's simplistic style of play and think anyone can just spam Nair with Ike and win. There's a reason only MKLeo succeeds with Ike. If it was as simple as spamming an attack, we would see more Ikes in top 8s. MKLeo has great spacing, that's what sets him apart.
Well I was a big MKLeo fan when he used Marth in Smash 4. After that his playstyle started to get boring most of the time and he mostly wins by whittling away. Most of the other top players I like better than Leo this time around.
Paul Kotsu anyone can spam nair, but few can do it as well as Leo. He understands the field and knows when to do it, and how to space it. That's what sets him apart. It's like saying anyone can Palu side B, but few can space it perfectly and combo with and into it.
@@gameandflogchannel That doesn't happen though? They're always neck and neck. (Spoilers for this set and Grands) This set was 3-2, and even if grands was 3-0 each game was really close (last stock situation each time).
Bilal Gill yeah, but it was obvious Tweek was dominating. He was playing MKLeo the entire time and was going easy on him as well a few stocks. Tweek was straight up dominating. Not one moment did Leo have the upperhand
They’re terrible people and it’s great that they’re out of the community, but let’s not let these terrible people ruin such a great set. We can at least acknowledge them as decent commentators, but their commentary doesn’t represent who they are as a person
MKLeo was too good at weaving in and out of that range. That DK punch dodge at the ledge was incredible, although maybe that input was safe regardless of what DK tried.
Caleb Richards this. Counters when used correctly and sparingly can be beastly. Sadly all we really see of counters is people spamming them online giving a bad rep to all the FE characters. But my god am i glad to have a counter against online yoshis.
MkLeo 5 months later was down 2-0 in the EVO grand final and won 6 games in a row to take the tourney (played 2 sets because MKLeo was in loser bracket)
This is my all time favorite Ultimate set. The movement and high level play from these top-level players is astounding. Tweek taking Leo’s second stock in Game 3 is the all time cleanest stock I’ve ever seen. The popoff at the end after the 2-0 comeback with the camera shaking is great
Man, I love Leo's Lucina, but he doesn't use f-tilt at all. F-tilt is such a good tool for Lucina, I feel like Leo could've punished a lot more stuff with it.
Bro as a new player it’s so sick to read your opponent like at 2:22 Leo has been seeing tweek air dodge so he goes for what look like uair but instead short hops then bair
There are a lot of great matches. Just because these two are powerful and they had a close match doesn't make it good. I would say this is a rather average set in reality, with match 5 being the most impressive. There are tons of exceptional sets that already happened in Ultimate before Frostbite and they weren't necessarily top 8.
It really was a good setup, but once his DK couldn't take MKLeos heat, he switched to Wario, played very fast clean and dirty, my opinion, Ike is a slow hard hitter, compared to Wario where he can land and take hits just as hard, not saying it wasnt fair, but maybe should've picked up Lucina earlier.
tweek is one of the best players of all times. I mean he plays really good awesome with every character. we have seen him with bowser jr, DK, bayo, wario , wolf , cloud and bunch of other characters.
Idgaf, tweek was constantly meeting zero in grand finals in smash 4, this is his time to shine. Plus this man ain't playing olimar so he can't be the villian in ultimate ;)
It's funny because literally no o e is complaining about Wario, yet people are complaining about Ike despite the best Ike player getting 2 stocked multiple games in a row.
GG's the only thing I saw about tweeks gameplay or would like to see is him mixing up the falling up air with warios bite thing because it heals wario but other than that it was very good
Tim Hiltz I don't disagree with that. I still feel like his match up spread is pretty terrible though when you analyze it character by character. I don't think it's coincidence that top players are using him less. I could be wrong though.
