+Paula Olivares I explained up.... Because the Republican primary is different. Only one primary left on the Republican side which is proportional (New Mexico). The rest are all (winner-take-all) method or (winner-take-most). So Cruz can win some states by 1% and walk out with all delegates. In Some states it's winner-take-most which award chunk of the delegates for the state wide winner and the other chunk based on the winner in each Congressional Districts. While on the Democrats' side, *it's all proportional* and Hillary won all of the Southern states by huge margins. Those states award many delegates like Texas and Georgia. She also won Florida by a margin. So she made a lead their. Bernie responded after March 15 collapse by winning 7 out of 8 states. Six of them by huge margins. But many of those states are small in the number of awarded delegates so he didn't not bury Hillary's lead. Bernie's hope is to win NY by a wide margin then head to April 26 to win PA and the rest of the Northeast primaries before heading to California. So On Dems side it's about margins of victories not just winnings and on the Republican side it become just about winnings after March 15. Also if Democrats head to a convention, Democrats have superdelgates (party elites of current officials and politicians and former ones like Bill Clinton himself), Republicans don't have that. Those elites will side with Hillary while in a Republican convention Cruz can snatch a win by taking Rubio's delegates and Trump's ones after the first ballot. This is why Cruz's path is different than Bernie's path. I hoped I helped you.
