theres 2 holes at the base of where the window goes. you can use that to bolt the bottom in..two 1/4" bolts work an is all you need if you cut the lexan to fit on the stock window track.
I'd use spacers on the bottom of the window. Maybe a solid piece of aluminum round bar or some solid round nylon and you could cut each piece and drill out the center. Then put the spacers between the bottom of the door frame and lexan and drill through the lexan then use longer screws like you had or screws and a lock nut on the back side of the lexan. I'd probably use more of those screws you used to hold in the window maybe one in between each screw so every 4 inches instead of 8 to help distribute the pressure when you're at high speed. Love how the window looks almost stock. Now all you need is to make 2 sets of lift off doors and have a 2nd set with working windows you can swap for when you street drive it 👍
Should have theraformed the lexan to have a natural bow like the original. but the way you did it works as well. I'm going to theraform mine due to keeping the window regulators.
Nice work! I wonder if laying the lexan over the original glass and applying some heat would give you the exact shape and lock it in. I haven't worked with lexan very much so I don't know if heat would warp it.
Thanks a lot for this video. I’m getting ready to replace the rear door windows in my 84 Cutlass sedan with lexan. One of the vent windows broke and their almost impossible to find and when I did find them they’re crazy expensive. This is exactly how i want to do them. 🤘👍
