Foxbody Mustang dyno pull with Vortech V3 Heritage Supercharger and TrickFlow Top End Kit

This is my 89 Mustang GT on the dyno. Car has stock bottom end with TrickFlow top end kit and a Vortech V3 Si Heritage Edition Supercharger with 9# of boost. With a very conservative tune we got 432rwhp. This was a period correct build and was not meant to break any HP records.

Mike Post is the best, he dyno tuned my Trickflow topend kit with N41 cam. Next year aiming to install a v3 supercharger as well.

He's a legend! He always has a christmas sale on Vortech Superchargers so that's a great time to buy. That's when I ordered mine and saved some money!

I've got a Walbro 255 Lph High Pressure Fuel Pump, Aeromotive Regulator and 60# injectors. The top end kit is the Trick Flow Track Heat kit.

Do you know what your car would pull with only the Trick Flow top end kit.

I did the top end kit first and put it on the dyno. I had some ignition issues so it only did 288rwhp. Now, that's not bad considering at the flywheel probably 320ish, but it was breaking up around 5k and losing power. I was told it should have had about 40 more hp. I replaced coil with DUI Screamin Demon coil, DUI Livewires, MSD Cap and Motorsport rotor. Fixed the problem!

Thanks for watching! Car is only setup for 9# of boost. With the stock bottom end I wanted a conservative, reliable tune. Rev limiter is set at 6500rpms and the car is a blast to drive 👍🏻

Hey there I was wondering if you could tell me about the drivability of this car considering the horsepower, because I just got a foxbody and this is the build I’d want for it!

The car drives like a stock mustang until you lay into the throttle. It is extremely reliable and everything still works including the A/C. The only downside is fuel economy, but I just say it gets Smiles Per Gallon now.

I turned up the boost and got 495whp and 465ft/lbs on 12lbs. Lots of fun!

Yeah 60# injectors. Car was previously tuned with SCT chip but now has the Holley terminator ecu

@@BrotherTom any issues trying to run an SCT chip on a 15 psi vortech? Trying to figure out if it’s worth it to go with an aftermarket ecu solution.

Wouldn’t know I only ran 8# with the sct but I don’t see why it would be a problem. Only reason I went with Holley was to get rid of the mass air and use map

TrickFlow Track Heat Top End Kit. Cam is a TFS stage 1, which comes with the kit.

This is an old video when I was still running the stock ECU with piggy back chip. Timing is controlled by an MSD 6AL. I have a new dyno video on my channel with the Holley Terminator X ECU and a little more boost. Still using the MSD 6AL and got 495whp and 465ft-lbs

How much HP were Corvettes making 30 years ago? There is a reason why you don’t see any other manufacture’s vehicles that are 30 years old ruling the streets like the Fox bodies, Plus when spend half as much $ as you paid for your vett you know damn well you can’t touch us! And before you comment back saying how I don’t have a car and live in my parents basement think again, I bought my house cash and I have a 92 LX Convertible and a 93 Cobra with 27,353 miles which I bought new in August of 1993 @ Downs Ford in NJ! There was nothing in the video that even showed what was done to his engine for you to claim that it was very very LOW HP, So why don’t you go hop in your small dick car and head over to the local car show and hang out with the rest of the old men! If you don’t believe what I am claiming reply back with your email address and I will send you pictures, Then you can see what a car looks like that is worth more now then what I paid for it new 29 years ago! 🤡
