@@mhoovair89 Predator is great, but compared to the others, it looks a bit oversharpened to me. At this point they are all great and it just comes down to personal opinion.

However I have 6 because each one is so sharp it has digital shimmering far past what is shown in online reviews where the signal is processed and I thought the first two (NTSC) were defective and got two more NTSC versions and again same issue... I also got two PAL versions and they were not as bad by a mile but still new in the box as other NTSC FPV cams works so much better for my eyes. The NTSC versions shimmer so much that two music keyboards with black and white keys about a foot above each other fill in the space between them. It's the same on a 32in IPS monitor although not as severe but it always has a better picture than my Dom HD2 50 degree FOV goggles and I had the original DOM HD's with 45 FOV too going through drivers and DVR upgrades so know it's not the goggles fault. I just read through over 50 reviews on the RunCam Phoenix 2 Nano and the varied user experience seems to indicate FPV is exposing science to some exceptionally important observations regarding Mass oscillation and differences in perception from one observer to the next due to the phase timing of DNA/RNA oscillation point referencing referred to as "instances" in the gene ensemble caused by observing everything while in a state of oscillation. In physics that results in what is called particle generations where all particles even the neutrino come in 3 sizes which is like saying an RC model gets smaller as it moves away and gets bigger when it comes back which is true relative to our perception of size connected to time relative to a fixed frame of reference represented by our own center of gravity. Of course this a basic illusion (outside of particle physics) that is so basic we know everything at a distance gets smaller and with two eyes creating stereoscopic 3D vision is used to determine distance where the brain can fill in and do the same with one eye as we use the information collected to see the world and avoid harm from ruining into objects. However people's eyesight varies as does their hearing and what I'm learning is FPV Cam reviews mean little until you match up your own eyesight with the reviewers eyesight and opinions. Most people could not use the original FatShark DOM HD1's with a 45 degree FOV because they got blurry edges but my eyes with the screens PID centered had excellent clear in focus screens to the edge. On the DOM HD2s larger FOV I have clear edges too but the focus without custom insert lenses is not as good as on the HD1's which is the opposite of what most people have experienced. So to sum it up I have eyesight that agrees with Ian Beaty's choice you commented on and find the Predator series to have grossly excessive digital shimmer especially at 60Hz and if not for only being 600TVL with higher latency on the CCD analog cams that worked best for FPV with lower latency my choice of FPV cam would be analog CCD cams 100%. BTW I found your insight "to focus on the rates" and open mind quite interesting as timing is everything but once a person establishes a point of view a habit that is hard to break sets up and people become very opinionated and one sided to the point of joining up with other like minded viewers of the same Universe we all live in where an open mind is the key to avoiding someone "shaking the tree" and putting all the apples on one side so that side can have more apples. Fortunately gravity makes that difficult to achieve which can be proven by taking what lights up the Sun and putting it where the Sun don't shine so to speak just by saying "prove it wrong Mark": (e{a})/t=E. Long story... just don't believe someone because they appear to be bright when they open up their mouth to tell a lie... LOL

something is up here... I think due to WAY larger field of view, details are just so much smaller that you don't see them on camera. Lets say we have two same cameras one with 110 degree view and other with 150. small details will get washout in the distance, but with more zoomed in 110 view you will be able to tell

It's hard to convey the real picture quality using DVRs but this is the best method I can use so far. You can be rest assured that all the cameras are labeled properly as I triple check it on each video.

Predator was the worst, way oversaturated colours, soft focus, awful....Ratel is king, the end.

I appreciate you explaining what’s better about the ratel, I’m gunna watch and check it out, I usually only fly digital at night so not too worried about the night performance

The only thing about the Ratel I found negative when I saw this comparison, is the reduced field of view. It should've had just a little bit more. I think the Predator had the best FOV, but I guess I can achieve the same results with my Ratels if I change the lens. That said, I really love my Ratels.

@@ojkolsrud1 never ran a ratel, had bad luck from caddx and swore off. Them until the vista.

I’ve loved the Predator since v2, I still have a load of v4 & almost prefer them to the 5. I agree though it’s my favorite out of this lineup, I expected more from the trex
