This video has taught me there are two types of Foxhole fanart: 1) Grizzled war veterans, caught in the eternal hell that is trench warfare 2) Anime waifus
WH40k is largely inspired by early 20th century propaganda, and this game was inspired by the World Wars. If there wasn’t some resemblance one or the other would be fundamentally flawed.
@@MatzeMB85 doesn't matter of your Colonial or Warden hearing those things fire.... and I bet if Foxhole comes to cancel I bet you could feel them from like a good mile away maybe half
God, watching shit like this makes me kinda emotional. 4 long years of playing, all of these pictures I know about in some capacity, pictures about your success, and pictures of your loss. The one beautiful thing about this game is that it’s persistent
This video who's everything I love about foxhole. I remember watching to it when it was first posted and I come back to it every now and then It makes me kind of emotional thinking about all the adventures I've been on with people I never saw again, or people I knew for awhile before one of us moved on. God damn this game...
I feel like foxhole would be the perfect setting for an anime that follows 2 characters on opposite sides of the war that live long enough to watch all there friends die. Survive so much and kill each other in the abandoned ward and no one else around. No one else to know what happened. And nothing even changed.
The end would be really cool if they both died in ward but it was closer to where there where so many people around troops that they where just another forgotten cog in the machine would make more sense with how the game is spawn wise
Idk I find it fun, always fun to point at a virtual enemy and say "Fuck you." And that would be the normal response. Do I really hate the warden players? No. And I am sure the wardens are the same way with us colonials.
This, at least for me, is the best game I've played. Great community, very unique game play and literally makes every player feel they are a small cog in a big machine. No other game does that
Just out of couriosity, what things on the colonial side are inspired by the Soviets? I see vehicles and equipment being more a mix of American and British stuff
@@Somajsibere In game they have few weapons directly inspired by soviet WWII weapons like the dp-28. Some tanks are inspired by soviets too. Tankettes are very soviet too
The reason there is so much anime is simple; there are lots fan artists interested in that style and it gets shared more because everyone deep down loves military anime girls
Let’s be honest no game is as awesome, scary, immersive, and enjoyable as when you meet a group of good pals on this game no matter what side and fight for hours on end with each inch costing much more in return
Idk why but every single time I’ve played Warden I’ve had a blast, everyone seems to care more about the wounded, we always seem to be on the defensive which I prefer, everyone is just nicer, and we don’t grenade spam as much. Plus the signs are funny too. We don’t talk about logistics though.
This is it, the video that rekindled my interest in Foxhole. After all the years of looking for a game that combined top-down shooter and RTS/strategy game mechanics, it was beneath my nose the entire time, drowned out by games that were easier to get into in my at-the-time clustered daily schedule. And the best part is that the community is thriving. Time to join the ranks.
@@vanxthenecron3059 It was a mixed experience full of highs and lows, but pretty enjoyable all in all. Wish I could've gotten my friends together to do squad stuff.
Ah Foxhole, a game which truly shows the horrors of trench warfare, I remember playing for the first time, loaded into a base that was slowly being taken, with each shipment we staved off death for a little longer. I remember logging on and it was no longer there one day, I also remember the battle to take it back…
This is all fine and dandy, until you get caught up in the real thing. I have foxhole and got stuck in a bunker, while i heard the enemy marching through the base outside and sometimes even heard shooting Foxhole is the perfect PTSD simulator
i feel like the whole point of foxhole is nobody's safe from the wars. men, women, children, the elderly, they all have a part in the wars for one reason or another.
Based on the lore war has been so bad that women were also now being recruited to increase rank numbers. Remember the lore says the war between Warden amd Colonial have been going on for 200 years. So yeah women are recruited hell, lore even says 15 years old is also among the ranks.
I much prefer the grizzled realism fanart over the frankly gross anime portrayals. Love me WWI, ‘ate me anime. It reminds me a bunch (and this is going to be obscure) of ace of spades fanart, the very original version, with people making recruitment and propaganda posters to join blue/green/red and depictions of trench combat.
@@justiceforjoggers2897 yea I’m talking about before it was bought out, and typically most people played the newer version. There is a version out there called OpenSpades that still runs servers, and is quite fun.
All i want is an anime that had similar themes as this... so i had no choice but to buy the game and experience it myself and just imagine it after the experience have done the deed. Also didn't knew most of the art was made of anime artwork, i was taken the idea that most of the players should be historical or at least military nerds and artists of them would have similar art in WW1 or WW2 banners, but oh well, i guess my kind is not scarce anymore at this day and age in comparison before it got mainstream.
every time i watch something war-related, it impulses me further to go to an actual warzone and join the fight, even when videos or movies that are anti-war, it has the opposite effect.
Go to the Foxhole reddit and try typing in Defiance. As that was the first creation. Or you can type in "we attack, we defend" or something along those lines. Sadly I can't post links.
Man, I haven't played in a month, this video makes me want to die for Caovia once more. Or, more accurately, play Eurotruck Simulator Trench Warfare Edition for 5 hours then raid some trenches for an hour, rinse and repeat.
