Not exactly - this device doesn't detect internal temperature of the battery but internal temperature of itself (temp. sensor is located in the charger and measures temp. of cooling air). If you use it in cool environment it will detect cool air. This small battery should be charged in repair mode (1,5-2A pulses). 4-5A in normal mode it's too much for small batteries. The charger is great, because in repair mode it makes the electrolite density @ 1,28g/cm3 During charging the battery should be disconnected from electrical system - charger gives up to 15,5V, and that may be too much for electronics.

Do you mean 20 or 200AH? Max AH that it supports is 150AH. If its 20AH it should work.

Thank you, sir. As a ham, CB & UHF radio operator we always keep backup batteries & inverters in case of emergency. I have a few 3.3, 7 & 12 amp gel cells & some larger lead-acid ones. These are for an emergency & is a whole lot closer with this Russin business now going on. I have this same charger. They work. I recently was given an 85 Ah battery. I topped up this 85Ah sealed leisure battery (I distill my own water) by drilling 6 holes topping it up & resealing it with hot glue so easy to remove & re-top up in the future. I had it on pulse repair overnight & it brought it back. My only test was on a 12-volt kettle that draws about 14 amps & It boiled a full kettle twice so far & close to an hour of 14 amp constant current draw & it's still well over 12 volts, but I will give it some more pulse charging. I have 2 126Ah truck batteries that I have been maintaining on pulse repair in case this Russian war business goes nova & the UK loses its power grid with conventional or EMP weapons. UK power grid is very fragile. God help us if that happened all nuclear facilities could not be maintained & would explode. If there is a god that is.

Good to always come across someone who has also witnessed the good this charger can do. Definitely share your concerns on the current war. Hope it resolves without getting to a climax! Do keep those batteries charged!

No it doesn't need to be charged. It only works with AC power from a wall outlet.

Work well on my batteries. Depend on CCA and SOH. Larger CCA tooks longer to repair.. Lower SOH tooks longer time to repair.. My 380 CCA tooks about 4 hrs to brought from 90% to 100 % SOH. My 720 CCA batrery tooks 32 hrs to bring 86% to 100 %SOH. In principle need to charge full and wait for 1-2 hrs. If it still have 12. 6 volts mean you still can desulphate. If say 10v or lower means one cell already defect due to shortage or etc. if it could not maintain charge on 12.6 with high SOH means you by mistake overfill the electrolyte level. Have one battery that i charge from SOH 47% to 100% with 300CCA. It tooks about 11 days...

Yep.. My car was repair in workshop for a month (overhaul) and in the painting worshop for another 3 weeks..and unfortunely with pandemic the car rarely drove. So the SOH dropped to 47%. My car battery is a chinesse battery.. Worth to try.. yes 11 days it just back to SOH 100%.. the battery was 2 years old by the way. For another two cars battery that i got are japanese Yuasa battery.. not much problem to desulphate I have 3 cars so really need tools to simply maintain the batteries

Repair mode also charges the battery so it should be charged. Even if in doubt since it can also be used as a trickle charger it shouldn't hurt if you switch to AGM charging.

Good review, looks like the Foxsur charger uses 16 volt pulses to desulfate a battery like the Noco Genius 5 and 10, and the CTEK chargers in repair mode. I used my Pulsetech PowerPulse on my other BMW Duralast Gold battery that is 7 years old and that I let sit disconnected for a year, and it was at 11.2 volts, I tried charging it with my friends Exide 6 amp automatic charger for 14 hours and battery voltage was at 13.1 volts, yet it would not start my other car. I put the PowerPulse on it along with a 1 amp Schumacher manual battery charger for 72 hours, and left the desulfator on it for a week and it started my car right up. My point is desulfation can take up to 30 days depending on how sulfated your battery is. Pulsetech claims that their patented frequency they use gently desulfates a battery and can extend it's life up to three times. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2qTzKwujoW8.html

Not at all. You can charge the battery in the car without disconnecting. Just take note of the connections if charging in car. This would depend on whether the car is positively or negatively earthed just as covered in the video.

Yes, you can. In fact it's good practice to externally charge a car battery that goes below 12.5v. Keeping it fully charged keeps sulfation away.

Okay nice! I was searching for someone who tells me that the pulse function is charging the battery as well. I had a complete empty battery with 12V and 56Ah. But: After 3:30 hours with pulse charge it says 100% after switching to normal charge function. Is this possible?
@DIYAutoworksNG
@DIYAutoworksNG 2 года назад
It depends on the voltage it started charging at, but I would say 3:30mins sounds a short for a 56AH battery. Mind you, even after showing full, it is recommended to leave it charging for 1-2hrs

@@DIYAutoworksNG No, I am not testing the charger for fun. I have troubles cause my engine is not starting. So I must charge my battery. But I can now say that the FOXSUR Pulse Charger is able to charge my battery to run the starter on my car many times. I was hoping maybe my engine starts if I use the pulse function because I am not sure if my battery is too old despite of 12,6V. Maybe I must try pulse function 2 weeks. Maybe I will buy a battery tester if I will run the pulse longer.

Pulse repair for this particular charger can last between 8 - 24hrs. That said, one limitation of this particular model is that I haven't seen it switch over to normal charging after pulse repair. I just count the number of hours and switch over manually. Note that the battery charges too during pulse repair.

Im just using this charging today and i notice bubble coming out from the battery but some don't bubble. The one which don't bubble mean is dead? Could this charger revive it back? Done 8 -10 hours repair and still no bubble coming out from few reservoirs
@DIYAutoworksNG
@DIYAutoworksNG 2 года назад
Bubbles are hydrogen gas. Remember to always charge in a ventilated area. Gassing usually occurs when the battery has reached 80% capacity. Being revived depends on the state of the battery. A battery tester will determine the state of health. If the other battery is a wet cell battery be sure it has enough electrolyte.

@DIYAutoworksNG

Difficult to say without examining the battery in person. Could be one of 2 things, battery has not reached 80% charge state or its not taking a charge. One limitation of this charger is that it cannot revive batteries that are so badly depleted e.g. Less than 8.5volts. What voltage was the battery before you started charging? What's the battery size?

How long it will last after charging?
@DIYAutoworksNG
@DIYAutoworksNG 3 года назад
A battery with good cells should be expected to last as long as its built to. Except if there are parasitic drains that keep depleting the charge. Does must be found and resolved. A battery I recharged about 3 years ago is still working. It just boils down to whether the cells are good or not. Damaged cells will either not take a charge or not hold it well.
